And there is, I think there's like 1,100 different cryptocurrencies and for the most part, it looks like all of them have gone up in the last year or so.\n\nIt's currently February 2018, and so, we're in the moment of there is some sort of correction going on. Either it's a precipitous drop or it's just a correction depending on how bullish you are on the cryptocurrencies.\n\nMe, personally, I think the cryptocurrencies are some sort of bubble. Eventually the technology behind it may be something that's implemented into currencies and money down the line, but there's just too many cryptocurrencies. There's too much hype around it. There's not enough substance behind it. It feels and looks like a bubble.\n\nAnd as of now, just a little bit over a month ago, Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency, was like $19, $20,000 a bitcoin. Now, it's somewhere around $9,000. It's kind of holding that $9, $10,000 for a while, but we'll see what happens with it.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-844\" src=\"http://www.aztecgoldsilver.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Screen-Shot-2018-02-04-at-9.57.50-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"822\" height=\"275\" />\n\nI remember, like, back in 2009, a buddy of mine sent me a link to an article about Bitcoin. It was a pretty good article and how it was kinda on the rise and everything going on, and I read it, and so I was aware of Bitcoin and I've been kinda following it throughout the years.\n\nJokingly, kinda thinking, I remember thinking like, \"God, I hope Bitcoin,\" as I started investing in gold and silver, I was like, \"Man, I hope Bitcoin doesn't overtake gold and silver.\"  I kinda had that suspicion, like, \"Man, maybe Bitcoin and stuff like that, other cryptocurrencies, like, that's gonna be the new gold that people invest in.\"\n\nAnd as of, if you were looking at 2017, and even now, I mean, it's still kinda up in the air. I mean, one could make an argument that something like Bitcoin will take over gold as a hedge, safety investment to protect one's purchasing power and wealth.\n\nAnd, I tell you what. God, dang. I mean, I wish back in 2009, I wish I had followed that article and just for fun, put in like, just say, a thousand dollars. You'll drive yourself nuts doing these kinda calculations. But, you know, if I just put in a thousand dollars, like, I forget what the actual amount, but I would have a few million in Bitcoin, which is insane.\n\nBut that's another reason that there's something suspicious about these cryptocurrencies. Just the fact that a few short years ago, if someone just put $500 or $1,000 into Bitcoin, they'd become multi-millionaires now.\n\nAnd that just doesn't make any sense. I mean, based of nothing. There's nothing backed behind Bitcoin. Yeah, it's the technology and it's the faith of the people in it, but so is fiat currency. That's the only reason fiat currency works is because people believe in it. And the fact that someone is just going to, in a few short years, like, make that kind of money, that just seems... it seems shaky. It seems, like, that doesn't make any sense.\n\nAnd perhaps I'm wrong. But I tell you a cryptocurrency or a currency type that implements blockchain technology or now there's hashgraph which is a new technology that's supposedly is even better than the blockchain. I really see a future in it, but I really hope it starts leaning towards still using real money, real wealth, as the basis of these cryptocurrencies and that's what they're backed by.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-845\" src=\"http://www.aztecgoldsilver.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/shutterstock_679671202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" />\n\nAnd I tell you what, I could really get behind some sort of cryptocurrency that is based in gold or silver or a basket of the two, and there's a few companies out there that are doing this. Like, the Perth Mint of Australia is coming out with a gold backed cryptocurrency. I think I've heard that...I think Russia is maybe exploring some sort of a gold-backed cryptocurrency or a commodities backed cryptocurrency. There's David Morgan of the Morgan Silver Report talks about working with a silver-backed cryptocurrency.\n\n<a href=\"https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-02-02/gold-backed-cryptocurrencies-icing-already-tasty-cake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Gold-Backed Cryptocurrency Directory List</strong></a>\n\nI could really get into something like that because obviously, let's not deny the technology of cryptocurrencies. I mean, that's the big hype around them and they probably are. There's a good chance that something like it, either the blockchain or the hashgraph... something like that is going to be the future of money.\n\nBut, it needs to be backed by something. It can't just be ones and zeroes. It can't just be a bunch of fake mining going out there and fake scarcity. It needs to have the real scarcity, the history, the track record of something like gold and silver, that has been around for thousands of years.       "body": "So, how do you buy physical gold and silver without having to store it yourself?\n\nI came across this problem because when I first started buying physical gold and silver I was buying a lot of bullion, and coins, and just stacking it, and storing it myself in my closet. Eventually, I bought a safe but as the gold and silver started building up and as it was increasing in value and wealth, I started to feel pretty uncomfortable about storing that amount of wealth at my house.\n\nAnd so a few years back I eventually moved just about all of my physical gold and silver to a secure offsite storage location that's easily accessible, that I could always get to, in case of an emergency, it's there when I need it.\n\nBut it allows me to sleep well at night and go out of town without having to worry about my gold and silver being stolen.\n\nUnfortunately that's one thing you always gotta worry about, that is a downside of buying physical gold and silver is you gotta worry about storage.\n\nAnd the bigger your stack gets the more you gotta worry about it. So since then, I was trying to figure out, so now that I got a majority of the physical gold safely stored outside of my house, I wanted to find a way to continue to buy physical gold and silver, but without having to store it myself.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-839\" src=\"http://www.aztecgoldsilver.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/shutterstock_327823760.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"662\" />\n\nSo what I found is there is a company called <a href=\"https://www.goldmoney.com/w/aztecgold\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>GoldMoney.com</strong></a>, and this company is based out of the UK, and so what you do is they sell you physical gold and silver at a pretty good price as well. It's very close, one of the closest prices you can get to the actual spot price.\n\nAnd this is allocated storage, so they store your physical gold and silver for you. And what that means allocated is that every gram, every troy ounce that they sell you is in your name.\n\nThey cannot sell more gold or silver than what they have, and if you ever request to have it delivered to you personally they will send it to you in its physical form.\n\nSo it's allocated to you and for all intents and purposes, it's your gold and silver, and it's well-accounted for, and they keep up with audits. And so it's a legitimate company, it's been around for a while, it's a credible company and for a good chunk of my gold and silver investments I feel okay buying through them and I'm gonna continue to buy through them.\n\nSo I just found it to be a convenient way to continue to buy physical gold and silver, but without having to store it myself.       "body": "When do you sell your gold?  That is very good question that comes up from time to time.\n\nAnd really when gold and silver return as real money as the base source of our monetary system, well, you're always probably gonna have some gold or silver... at least I plan to have some.\n\nBut as an investment vehicle, when gold and silver become overvalued, which they will at one point, the pendulum will swing way past the other side and there will be a good opportunity to sell some of the gold and silver that you have and make a very good profit.\n\nThis is the big wealth transfer that we always talk about.\n\nSo, if you look at the Dow Jones Industrial Average over the last 100 years or so since it's been around, there are these big fluctuations from paper assets where paper assets become overvalued, and then they become undervalued.\n\nAnd then when they become undervalued and when it's a good time to say get back into the stock market is when gold and silver become highly overvalued.\n\nSo, if you look at the Dow Jones, if you price it in gold over the last 100 years, there's been basically two major times, once in the early 30s and the other time in the 80s, in 1980, about 1980 as a matter of fact where the Dow was worth basically one ounce of gold.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-827\" src=\"http://www.aztecgoldsilver.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/dow-gold-1024x723.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"723\" />So, at that time that's like an indicator, it's a pretty good indicator that the gold and silver are probably slightly overvalued and that's a very good time to exit out of the market or sell some of it off and then put your money back into other assets that are extremely undervalued which at that point maybe the Dow, real estate, and other asset classes.\n\nSo, I mean this is not a crystal ball for sure thing that's gonna happen but if you look at history which is a pretty good indicator of what's gonna happen in the future, like I said this has happened two times before where one ounce of gold was equal to the Dow.\n\nAnd that almost happened again after the financial crisis of 2008, but it only went down to about just over 200 grams for one Dow, 200 grams of gold for one Dow, so not quite there. One ounce is about 31 grams.\n\nSo, now the paper assets like the Dow become overvalued again and there is still a lot of room, a lot to go until the Dow is worth one ounce of gold.\n\nSo, right now it's worth like $26,000 the Dow. Does that mean that gold is gonna be worth $26,000? It could be or it looks like the Dow is highly overvalued, it's probably gonna have a huge correction sometime soon.\n\nSo maybe it goes down to $10,000 or $12,000 and at that point, there's a very good chance an ounce of gold is gonna be worth around the same price.  In dollars that is.\n\nHowever if currencies completely crash and we go into hyperinflation, which is a good possibility, then gold prices will be astronomically high.  But continue to keep your eye on the Dow/gold ratio as an indicator.\n\n[caption id=\"attachment_830\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"890\"]<img class=\"size-full wp-image-830\" src=\"http://www.aztecgoldsilver.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/200-ans-dow-jones-onces-or.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"890\" height=\"625\" /> Ever since the Federal Reserve has been created, you can see just how much they have negatively distorted the stock market.[/caption]\n\nSo, when that moment comes, and that's what I'm looking for as an indicator. So there's an incredible markup.\n\nPlus, whether you're buying the gold or silver, it's...with gold it may be like a 14 or I think the...14-karat or I think the most I've seen is like 18-karat, typically.\n\nAnd so if you figure out how much you're actually paying in troy ounces of gold, using gold as an example, it's like a complete ripoff if you just go to a regular jewelry store.\n\nAnd so being a gold and silver investor, knowing what I'm buying and knowing...always knowing what the spot price is of gold and silver, it's just tough for me to open up my wallet and pay like three, four, five times more for a piece of gold jewelry, five times more than what it's actually worth its weight in gold.\n\nSo, one way I've been able to invest in gold, but then at the same time make my wife very happy with gifts and...is actually buying investment-grade gold jewelry.\n\nCheck it out. It's 22-karat, that's 91.6% pure gold in this necklace.\n\nAnd in this particular necklace or chain, there's about...just about under a half troy ounce of gold.\n\nSo I bought this particular gold chain at <a href=\"https://goldsilver.com/buy-online/22K-prairie-gold-bracelet-8-length/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">goldsilver.com</a>.\n\nNow typically I don't use goldsilver.com to buy gold and silver bullion in coins. It's a credible source, it's a good site, they have a lotta good information, you're not gonna get ripped off there, but typically their prices are a little bit more expensive than some of the other places that I like to buy.\n\nBut other online gold and silver dealers, I haven't been able to find any that sell investment-grade gold jewelry. So being that I trust goldsilver.com and being that they have a pretty good selection of investment-grade gold jewelry, I went with them last week for the first time and actually bought from them from the first time.\n\nAnd pretty happy with the purchase.  Any time you're buying jewelry, you're always gonna pay a little bit of a premium.\n\nSo I payed about $875 for this that was delivered to my house. And in gold it's worth about right now I think it's about $560, something like that, $570. So payed about $300 more than what it was actually worth in gold.\n\nBut again that's typical. Even if you buy a gold coin, you're gonna pay a little bit more. You're gonna pay quite a bit more or a percentage more over the actual spot price. That's normal and even more so with jewelry.\n\nIf you're going to buy a gold, investment-grade gold jewelry, I would definitely recommend <a href=\"https://goldsilver.com/buy-online/22K-prairie-gold-bracelet-8-length/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">goldsilver.com</a>.\n\nI thought they did well. A little bit slow in the processing. There were some transaction fees, but like I said, it's a little bit more expensive there but they're one of the only gold...online gold dealers that actually carry investment-grade gold jewelry.\n\nSo it works out perfectly. I scratch my itch as a gold and silver investor and I feel like I'm investing my money well spent in something that's gonna maintain its value and something that could be passed on for generations and is real money, real gold, and at the same time... I make my wife very happy with a beautiful piece of gold jewelry that she's gonna love for a very long time.\n\nAnd to me it's kind of a win-win in my particular situation. So there's an incredible markup.\n\nPlus, whether you're buying the gold or silver, it's...with gold it may be like a 14 or I think the...14-karat or I think the most I've seen is like 18-karat, typically.\n\nAnd so if you figure out how much you're actually paying in troy ounces of gold, using gold as an example, it's like a complete ripoff if you just go to a regular jewelry store.\n\nAnd so being a gold and silver investor, knowing what I'm buying and knowing...always knowing what the spot price is of gold and silver, it's just tough for me to open up my wallet and pay like three, four, five times more for a piece of gold jewelry, five times more than what it's actually worth its weight in gold.\n\nSo, one way I've been able to invest in gold, but then at the same time make my wife very happy with gifts and...is actually buying investment-grade gold jewelry.\n\nCheck it out. The other day, about last week, I bought this 22-karat gold chain necklace.\n\nAnd so this is investment-grade gold jewelry. It's 22-karat, that's 91.6% pure gold in this necklace.\n\nAnd in this particular necklace or chain, there's about...just about under a half troy ounce of gold.\n\nSo I bought this particular gold chain at <a href=\"https://goldsilver.com/buy-online/22K-prairie-gold-bracelet-8-length/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">goldsilver.com</a>.\n\nNow typically I don't use goldsilver.com to buy gold and silver bullion in coins. It's a credible source, it's a good site, they have a lotta good information, you're not gonna get ripped off there, but typically their prices are a little bit more expensive than some of the other places that I like to buy.\n\nBut other online gold and silver dealers, I haven't been able to find any that sell investment-grade gold jewelry. So being that I trust goldsilver.com and being that they have a pretty good selection of investment-grade gold jewelry, I went with them last week for the first time and actually bought from them from the first time.\n\nAnd pretty happy with the purchase.  Any time you're buying jewelry, you're always gonna pay a little bit of a premium.\n\nSo I payed about $875 for this that was delivered to my house. And in gold it's worth about right now I think it's about $560, something like that, $570. So payed about $300 more than what it was actually worth in gold.\n\nBut again that's typical. Even if you buy a gold coin, you're gonna pay a little bit more. You're gonna pay quite a bit more or a percentage more over the actual spot price. That's normal and even more so with jewelry.\n\nIf you're going to buy a gold, investment-grade gold jewelry, I would definitely recommend <a href=\"https://goldsilver.com/buy-online/22K-prairie-gold-bracelet-8-length/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">goldsilver.com</a>.\n\nI thought they did well. A little bit slow in the processing. There were some transaction fees, but like I said, it's a little bit more expensive there but they're one of the only gold...online gold dealers that actually carry investment-grade gold jewelry.\n\nSo it works out perfectly. I scratch my itch as a gold and silver investor and I feel like I'm investing my money well spent in something that's gonna maintain its value and something that could be passed on for generations and is real money, real gold, and at the same time... I make my wife very happy with a beautiful piece of gold jewelry that she's gonna love for a very long time.\n\nAnd to me it's kind of a win-win in my particular situation. So you may find that useful as well when come Valentine's Day, or Christmas, or your wife's birthday, whatever it may be, think about investment-grade gold jewelry.
