      "body": "As I get older( but not wiser) my golfing ability is taking a severe beating. I can no longer hit it straight, leave alone long. I am developing the 'yips' and am missing and dreading two foot putts!. Just last week , in a tournament, I four-putted from ten odd feet, the last three of the four from inside of about four feet !!!This disgrace and shock has helped making me fall back on \"thoughts\" of /on golf and life. Maybe these will help you when you take a 'hit' in life or golf.\n \n \n-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n \n----------\nHaving played for over half my life,I have learned that life and golf are so very similar in all aspects.\nI shall try and list the almost frightening similarities.\n \n(a)  Like life , golf is a social game.And yet, it can and often does get played solo (one ball).\n \n(b)  In golf, unlike any other games, there are no \"unforced\" errors.You cant blame anybody else for your mistakes or supposed 'bad luck'.  Like in golf, you can get get a' bad bounce' in life.But, more often than not, you will also get an undeserved 'good bounce'.\n \n(c) As in golf , life also provides you with various 'tools/clubs' to get the job done.How you use/select them is totally up to you.\n \n(d) Like in golf, initially in life you may get a second chance like a \"Mulligan.\" Thereafter, no free lunches.\n \n(e)Generally at the start (toss) of the game,you get a partner depending on your luck. Same in life and marriage--thereafter it is generally too late  and pointless to crib!\n \n(f) In golf after an undeserved/unexpected ' birdie',the next hole often is a guaranteed mess. Similarly in life, after any unexpected success,watch out! Pride is often followed by a fall .\n \n(g)   One of the best habits in life  and in golf is to have a set \"preshot routine.\"  Being a 'hippie' and unorganised may look cool but is a disaster in life and golf, in the long run.\n \n(h)  As in golf, so in life, dont bet beyond your means or risk-appetite. In can ruin your game and life.\n \n (i)  Playing by the rules is the corner stone of golf and life.Golf rules are the fairest rules created by man . So are, or should be, the rules of life---simple and practical. Following them increases the joy and success in golf and life.\n \n(j)  Since there are no unforced errors  in golf (and to a large extent )in life,take the rap and joy/benefit of a bad and a good shot with equal grace.\n \n(k) In golf (a caddie), as in life, you have a partner(wife/ family/friends). Irrespective, you, not they, are alone answerable or blameworthy for any failures.Satisfaction of success , must however, be shared.\n \n(l)   Etiquette ,good manners and  'class'  are the bench marks of life and golf. There is absolutely no place for\" riff-raffs' or upstarts. Honesty, gentlemanliness  and graciousness are the bottom line in these two.\n \n \n(m)   There is always the 19th hole, both in life and in golf.       "body": "RAYAN INTERNATION SCHOOL MURDER CASE: An eye opener to all.\n\nIam sure, by now,  most of you might have heard this news. For the knowledge of those who have not..... I am sharing this news. CBI has arrested a class 11 student today for murdering a class 2 kid in an international school at Gurugram (Gurgaon). The murder happened on 2nd October 2017 and at first the police arrested the school bus conductor. However this case was transferred to CBI because of immense pressure by the victim's parents. Upon investigation CBI found out that the murder was carried out by a class 11 student just to cancel the exams and parent teacher meeting as he didn't score as per expectations. Today there is news that the accused boy and the victim studied Piano in the same centre and known each other. \n\nThis is the happening news now and obviously has shocked the entire country as none expected that this crime was carried out by a 16 year old for a very silly reason. Though this accused father is pleading innocence, the juvenile court has granted 3 days of remand under CBI custody. So, this indicates that CBI has enough evidence against the alleged accused. This is really scary. Gone are the days when we use to fight for pencil, pen and rubber. The current generation is very very advanced in terms of intelligence and criminal mindset too. \n\nThis incident shows up only a tip of an ice berg. There is a systeic error in our education system. Parents and schools are all part of this error. There is undue pressure, both from the family and the society too on today's students. Everyone wants more and want to be first in the class and school! Children are made to be competing with each other. Everything is exam ceentred and result oriented!! Parents want their children earning more than learning more!!! The growing violence in Indian society, the media exposure, the degrading value education, a hostile political atmosphere etc contributing to the children in their confused mind set. Ans the result is such henious criminal attitude.\n\nThe news in Hindu news paper tells us that the boy confessed the CBI that the boy was 'disturbed because his parents were in constant fight at home'. I think it is another revelation for the parents. If the family doesnot provide a peaceful and loving atmosphere, the children cannot be expected to be good. So, please keep a close watch on your children and handle them appropriately as situation demands. We need to consciously avoid situations that would encourage our kids to take the short cuts to escape from failures. Teach them about the realities of life. Failure is part of life. One cannot be always winning. We must make our kids realise that life is not a bed of Roses. Things might not happen the way  they want it ---\"Always\".\n\nWe need to make them understand that failures will teach us good lessons and everyone has to undergo that phase but with a positive intend. Rest upto each one of your style and discretion as to how to monitor and keep them away from these thoughts. Avoid unnecessary pressure towards kids study !!!! \n\nParents, schools, and all of us must make sure that another incident of this short never happens. Let us make our families, schools and society a better place for our kids to grow as mature happy citizens.",

      "body": "*The Indigo atrocity: who is responsible?*\n\nAns: *You and me,* the customers.\n\nHow?\n\n✓ Indigo is the first airline to reduce the free luggage from 25 kg to 15 kg. *We did nothing. The DGCA also did nothing to protect the passengers' interests*.\n\n✓ It is also the first to reduce the hand luggage from 10 kg to 7 kg. *We did nothing. Again the DGCA also did nothing*.\n\n✓ It is the first airline to sell food inside the flight at exorbitant rates. I can understand if it does not provide free food to cut costs, but then it should not sell food. (Because the idea of stopping free food is also to reduce the plane's weight. Then by selling the same food plane's weight is not reduced at all.). We didnt protest it. \n\n✓ It intentionally recruits stewardesses who weigh less, so that it can save on their weights. This is not a joke. Compare their stewardesses with that of their competitors; Indigo saves at least 10 kg per stewardess, thus 40 kg per flight. All this is sold you. All those Women's rights people did nothing too.\n\nUp to this, all these steps are not illegal, only unethical. Now for the real illegal stuff:\n\n✓ Surge pricing. I am yet to see one law that permits an industry to charge two identically placed consumers differently. This is blatant discrimination. We swallowed it meekly. \n\n✓ Selling seats inside the plane at different rates. First row, Row 12 & 13 are costlier. Why? Because we did not protest it and Indigo can get away with it. *If Indigo is in dire need of money, let it introduce a Business Class or a First Class*. No, it wont. Because then it has to provide larger seats and more facilities. *Its aim is to loot us more for the same service, without providing more*. \n\nAt this rate, I wont be surprised if the oxygen masks drop down only to those passengers who pay a little bit extra. We wont even protest that, and the DGCA will continue to get their salary and do nothing.\n\nAnd now this attack on a passenger. The whistleblower was dismissed, and the two would-be murderers were retained. Even here, at first, Indigo tried to justify the muderous attack through a planted news item in that paper very good for wrapping samosas, the Times of India. *Only when the public fury came in full force did the \"management\" apologize\". Even then it did not reinstate the whistleblower employee back to job.* It should have published the names of the employees involved, paid their lawful dues and dismissed them and published the dismissal order. Have they done it? No. They know we are fools who dont care for each other. \n\nEnough is enough. Citizens, *boycott Indigo for one day, and tell its robber barons that we d care about our fellow passengers.* \n\nSince most of you might have boked your tickets, lets choose a day a fortnight ahead. Say 25th November.\n\nTeach them a lesson they will never forget. Hit them where it pains - in their wallets. \n\nOr ignore this message and carry on. And get ready to face even more arrogant Indigo and its even more brutal employees.",
