During highly speculated markets this number grows exponentially.\n\nNASDAQ volume 4,371.635,521. Block volume 974,084,770\n\nNYSE 4,300,000,000 on average volume.\n\nThere are currently 13 Stock Exchanges, approximately 42 ATS Venues OTC, and other ECNs etc.\n\nCrypto Currency IF data is correct, and I do not have confirmation:\n\nThere are now 5392 crypto currencies, mostly very small. The top 2 are Bitcoin and Ethereum. The rest are tiny by comparison. Most IPOs are larger, even the smallest IPO.\n\nBitcoin, the largest crypto currency trades about $57 billion a day at this time. This is up from its normal average due to the extreme speculation of bitcoin in recent months.\n\nThis is not a normal comparison. First Bitcoin is in a bubble and the Stock Market is in a moderately trending slower paced market.
