There are a great many people and places I miss very much.\n\nSo fast forward to 2011/2012, after being a part of three Christian music ministries with pro-level musicians and concert-level equipment during an approximate ten year span, I joined a professional rock band made up of three engineers and another techie, rehearsing in the leader’s converted garage turned recording studio. \n \n![1 Copyright Gabriel M Gonzalez Atomiczilla 2a.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWxVFvVKY5yMTcCScie8S82at88kvaMkA1PjTRTsoQpxU/1%20Copyright%20Gabriel%20M%20Gonzalez%20Atomiczilla%202a.jpg)\n\nPlaying original and covers over the few years I was with them, we began live-streaming almost every Friday night rehearsal, and did a couple of gigs, one of which was a BBQ party (pictured above) at a home in beautiful Los Gatos, at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains. \n\n![Santa Cruz mountain range.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmP9kAVLAyct2DvPPrrJcnPQ7Fc1mc2aUEzyJrFtwcE5SD/Santa%20Cruz%20mountain%20range.jpg)\n\nWe ultimately spent nearly an entire day at a recording studio cutting the band’s first CD, which was fun and challenging, requiring great patience, but I wanted to accomplish more.\n\nSo ready to level up I began looking for a more business-minded band, preferably one specializing in jazz-funk fusion or alt-rock, one that wanted to tour the Bay Area, California, the country, or internationally, booking multiple venues weekly if possible, as I wanted to see if I could make performing music somewhat of a career; I mean, why not? Well after checking out numerous bands, at least a couple with great potential who were just too far away, I encountered what many musicians would consider the dream of a lifetime; this was not of my imagination and this is the way it went down: \n\nAfter much effort I answered yet another ad calling for a drummer, but this time traveling to rehearsals would be just a straight shot north, up the 101 freeway somewhat near San Francisco, so at least it was conceivable. And after learning more about their long-time experience and connections, I knew they were heavily skilled, professional, and serious, looking to gig long-term with the likelihood of setting me up with at least a moderate career in music. \n\nSo the band member I spoke to went out of his way and drove down the Peninsula to meet with me, which was a good start, and we conveniently met near a music store in Santa Clara. He appeared to be the responsible type, but a classic rocker all the same – jeans and a t-shirt with long hair, not looking homeless or reckless. We sat in his humble late model truck where we discussed more in detail and sampled the band’s music. Things were looking good. I was given the CD to listen to and prepare for the audition – no problem; it was a piece of cake! So what did I learn in our first meeting, but plenty? \n\nThe band was lacking nothing at all but a drummer. They had all the sound equipment necessary to host their own concerts, all pro gear, had a private warehouse for rehearsals, and best of all they had a fully-loaded permanently stationed top-level seven-piece double-bass drum kit which I could use for rehearsals and touring, a huge plus! Also, having already performed many times throughout California, they had countless gigs lined up from Eureka, to Chico, Tahoe, Sacramento, and throughout the entire Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles and Vegas. So there was plenty of money to be made, as they were also friends with a couple of L.A. music producers that were prepared to give the band more opportunities once it reformed. They were clearly connected with huge upside potential!  \n\nAnd there it was; a unique position to simply fill, a real shot to be in the music business, plus enough girls and all the cocaine I could ever want, and then some! \n\n![cocaine2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWYYHwRxQ6N29YGh1CpXfvH4KLdhWfQjMTb1WicHqyGGi/cocaine2.jpg)\n \nSo let’s see, make friends, audition, and secure the deal at an after party – no problem! All I had to do now was study the music and simply show up with my drumsticks. So that night I eagerly listened to the band’s music. And wait, what did I just hear? Ugh, I couldn't believe it! And after further review my heart sunk … to the bottom of the Pacific ocean ... the deepest part. You see, although the music was on par with some the best rock, some of the lyrics were simply vulgar and centered around sexual liaisons that is now quite common in rock, rap, and pop, such as sex with aliens, murder, and some that even exalt Satan, Lucifer, and the Illuminati. So I thought to myself, what the hell is wrong with society that such depravity must be sung about, but for those who are bewitched or hell bent, as if lyrics can have no negative influence on personality or behavior. And though ‘no man’ is perfect or sinless, I've chosen 'not' to condone whoredom or otherwise depraved messages, as the world is sleazy enough, requiring no encouragement from me. Yes I was upset, as I would have crushed it bringing a unique funky-alt-rock interpretation, but their lyrics just murdered the whole deal. \n\nSo I can’t help but ask myself and the republic, knowing there is some really great music with extremely talented musicians and vocalists out there, why in large part must lyrics be so vulgar, so sexually charged and explicit or demonically laced, encouraging lawlessness? I mean, I get it; women are beautiful, as I am naturally captivated by a woman’s beauty, and rappers pretending to be real gangsters want to ‘bust a cap’ in other ‘gangstas,’ make it rain money, and drive exotic cars, while in general everyone wants to throw a big party in their big mansions wearing their big diamond watches and gold chains; I get all that! But the fact is, lyrics are increasingly becoming more and more immoral, even exalting secret societies which are largely Luciferian, and that's bad news for the majority who is mostly peaceful and relatively loving. And with that kit, as a youngster in 2nd and 3rd grade, I performed in several school talent shows together with my uncle who was an excellent guitarist and singer who, using an amazing rhythm, bass, lead guitar fusion, could perform and sing a great rendition of the song Chooglin by CCR. And being that we had awesome supervisors, part of a great unit of men and women who maintained, modified, and tested aircraft weapon systems as armament systems specialists, part of a well-orchestrated machine that supported some ninety F-15 fighter aircraft, it was a surreal honor having performed before such a huge military crowd, as the base was also set in the Florida pan handle area ‘pert-n-near’ Alabama, yeah 'pert-n-near,' set in a subtropical paradise where there’s beautiful white sand beaches and the ocean is a temperate clear blue. It was amongst the coolest times of my life!\n\nAnd as I reminisce, bringing tears to my eyes, I’m sure you know that it can take a while before one realizes the love they had for someone, often only after they’ve been gone from our lives for quite some time. So what I mean to say is that I dearly miss some wonderful people from down South, from Mr. and Mrs. Powers of ‘Powers Gym’ and my workout buddies, to Big John of ‘John’s Diner’ who treated me like a son, and his wonderful staff of one waitress and two Thai cooks and their awesome food, making the best chicken-fried-rice ever, which is why I had to eat there at least once a week, to many Air Force personnel, both enlisted and officers, great supervisors like Tech Sergeant Hicks (where are you my brother?) and others from the Army, Navy, and Marines whom I made friends with during joint war game exercises, I was fortunate in meeting so many lovely people not only in Florida but Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, to the South and North Carolina's. Other special mentions include those I met in Denver, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, as well as the great rugged country of Iceland where one cannot get enough of the amazing Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights during the long winter nights, the plethora of therapeutic natural hot springs to soak in, and some of the purest water and air one will ever experience! We ultimately spent nearly an entire day at a recording studio cutting the band’s first CD, which was fun and challenging, requiring great patience, but I wanted to accomplish more.\n\nSo ready to level up I began looking for a more business-minded band, preferably one specializing in jazz-funk fusion or alt-rock, one that wanted to tour the Bay Area, California, the country, or internationally, booking multiple venues weekly if possible, as I wanted to see if I could make performing music somewhat of a career; I mean, why not? Well after checking out numerous bands, at least a couple with great potential who were just too far away, I encountered what many musicians would consider the dream of a lifetime; this was not of my imagination and this is the way it went down: \n\nAfter much effort I answered yet another ad calling for a drummer, but this time traveling to rehearsals would be just a straight shot north, up the 101 freeway somewhat near San Francisco, so at least it was conceivable. And after learning more about their long-time experience and connections, I knew they were heavily skilled, professional, and serious, looking to gig long-term with the likelihood of setting me up with at least a moderate career in music. \n\nSo the band member I spoke to went out of his way and drove down the Peninsula to meet with me, which was a good start, and we conveniently met near a music store in Santa Clara. He appeared to be the responsible type, but a classic rocker all the same – jeans and a t-shirt with long hair, not looking homeless or reckless. We sat in his humble late model truck where we discussed more in detail and sampled the band’s music. Things were looking good. I was given the CD to listen to and prepare for the audition – no problem; it was a piece of cake! So what did I learn in our first meeting, but plenty? The band was lacking nothing at all but a drummer. They had all the sound equipment necessary to host their own concerts, all pro gear, had a private warehouse for rehearsals, and best of all had a fully-loaded permanently stationed top-level seven-piece double-bass drum kit which I could use for rehearsals and touring, a huge plus! Also, having already performed many times throughout California, they had countless gigs lined up from Eureka, to Chico, Tahoe, Sacramento, and throughout the entire Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles and Las Vegas. So there was plenty of money to be made, as they were also friends with a couple of L.A. music producers that were prepared to give the band more opportunities once it reformed. All I had to do now was study the music and simply show up with my drumsticks. So that night I eagerly listened to the band’s music. And what, what did I just hear? Ugh, I couldn't believe it. And after further review my heart sunk … to the bottom of the Pacific ocean ... the deepest part. You see, although the music was literally on par with some the best rock available, some of the lyrics were simply vulgar and centered around sexual liaisons that is now quite common in rock, rap, and pop, such as having sex with aliens, girls kissing girls, people killing each other, and some that even exalt Satan, Lucifer, and/or the Illuminati. So I thought to myself, what the hell is wrong with society that such depraved things must be sung about but to have been bewitched  and hell bent, as if lyrics can have no negative influence on personalities and behavior. And though ‘no man’ is perfect or sinless, I personally do not want to condone whoredom or otherwise depraved messages, as the world is sleazy enough, requiring no encouragement from me. Yes I was upset, as I would have crushed it bringing a unique funky-alt-rock interpretation, but their lyrics just murdered the whole deal. \n\nSo I can’t help but ask myself and the republic, knowing there is some really great music with extremely talented musicians and vocalists out there, why in large part must lyrics be so vulgar, so sexually charged and explicit or demonically laced, even going as far as to literally exalt Satan or Lucifer? I mean, I get it; women are beautiful, as I am naturally captivated by a woman’s beauty, and rappers pretending to be real gangsters want to ‘bust a cap’ in other ‘gangstas,’ make it rain money, and drive exotic cars, while in general everyone wants to throw a big party in their big mansions wearing their big diamond watches and gold chains; I get all that! But the fact is, lyrics are increasingly becoming more and more about immorality which is then emphasized in music videos (country music notwithstanding with all the in-yo-face booty), even going as far as encouraging lawlessness, but for those who either don’t care or willfully pollute the mind of others, which for the most part reflects the rise in paganism, Satanism, Luciferianism, and witchcraft that has permeated the entire entertainment industry.\n\n“Know what you’re into.”\n―John Todd (Collins) \nFormer Illuminati member and druid priest\n\nNow I’m not suggesting that music becomes all about puppies and butterflies; but what would happen if the music industry cleaned up their language and videos, especially not spewing political propaganda as many musicians are now used more than ever as political puppets, so the general public wouldn’t have to be subjected to the Zionist globalist brainwashing and degenerate if not sometimes racist lyrics? What would happen if musicians no longer sold there soul to Satan or Lucifer, as many have confessed, where viewers would no longer have to see their satanic, witchcraft, or otherwise Masonic-Illuminati performances acted out on video and on stage, including acts of blood-sacrifice and other crimes including murder? And I’m sure I’ve only covered the half of it! Who do I think I am anyway? \n\nSo how 'does' the world revolve around me? However it wants to; so long as it doesn’t tread on me, for I am a friendly, loving, patriotic constitutional American, Air Force veteran, former electromechanic technician/aircraft weapons systems specialist, aerospace solid-rocket manufacturing operative with United Technologies, relatable to engineers and the tech crowd, and account sales rep, lifetime holistic nutritional health, hemp, and now CBD oil/Cannabidiol enthusiast and plant-freedom advocate, up-and-coming digital marketer and social media manager, musician/drummer, videographer with some independent film-making experience, a straight male from birth, and US/European/Biblical history buff without religion – free ‘from’ religion, and soon-to-be published author of a highly beneficial non-fiction book with years of research behind it (which at a minimum should blow your mind with some serious clarifying and will save most readers upwards of hundreds of hours in research as well as tens- if not hundreds-of-thousands of dollars – really a must-read for all ages, as it highlights important topics that include a variety of significant quotes and touches on science, history, health, tech, space, and the love and evil within this world), with other works in progress to help the republic. \n\nAnd one way I can help is to encourage manufacturing within the US and continue to invent useful product tools, as I have proven consumer-market prototypes. In fact, your support will be key in not only helping me to 1) relocate ‘out of Peru’ to a more gringo-friendly, much more civilized land like Columbia or Panama (I’m not Peruvian but I came here not for a vacation but for potential South American business/exporting opportunities – I made some contacts, and to experience the superfood), but also much sooner than later 2) secure patents and final product development for three highly-beneficial non-electronic products I’ve created that can be quickly and easily assembled and formed, have been successfully tested for more than five years, and make for excellent retail POS (point-of-sale) products with huge upside sales potential through TV shopping networks and other direct marketing channels: product (1) compact skincare tool – the most effective, convenient, and durable backscratcher I’ve ever seen or used, (2) water related coupling, unique functionality and design resulting in superior performance – improves one’s health by instantly and dramatically improving water quality using standard water bottles, and (3) a uniquely shaped acupressure pain-relieving tool formed out of a single piece of steel or whatever material might be best. So this is the premiere of an actual event never before published, an overture to my first book, a pivotal point in my life. You’ll find no fabricated BS, which nobody has time for when taking someone seriously. So as best I can, I serve the facts straight up like some fine bourbon whiskey (not that I often drink alcohol – wait, maybe I should. –Deuteronomy 14:26 “And you shall use the silver for whatever your being desires: for cattle or sheep, for wine or strong drink, for whatever your being desires.” –Moses/Mosheh addressing the 13 tribes of the true Israel/Yisra’el, according to the most reliable and purest Bible translation on Earth (HalleluYah Scriptures), which I'm sure is a sphere by the way.\n\nBut speaking of Earth being a sphere, why not address it here and now? Aside from all associated scientific data, and contrary to the flat-Earth movement that reeks of a psy-op to again put the republic at odds and wasting countless hours in research and debate, the simple galactic observation of hundreds of planets and moons, whether by hobbyist, scientist, astronaut, or sweet old grandma, can only lead to the logical conclusion that Earth is also a sphere. Besides, while in the Air Force, with all the military personnel I met and worked with, literally hundreds, from enlisted to high-ranking brass including the Navy, Army, and Marines in joint operations and sharing living quarters, from technicians, to engineers, to attack, fighter, cargo, reconnaissance, and helicopter-rescue pilots, a few that commonly flew over the arctic circle, of which I also did during heavy snowfall which was totally surreal (pilots being some of the coolest people around, likely because of the stable and cool spirit one must have in flying a $20M - $1Billion+ aircraft), in all my many conversations during all the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, one being a beautiful Thanksgiving banquet at a Navy officer’s immaculate home, with all those that I ever spoke to, not once did anyone ‘ever’ mention or hint at the notion of there being a flat Earth, not once, ever! \n\n“Let no one deceive you in any way.”\n[2nd Thessalonians 2:3]\n\nFurthermore, although I would like to include NASA images as proof of a globe Earth, knowing it is clear that NASA is part of the cabal to cover up the secret space program that’s been in existence since the 1940’s, initially using German-made electromagnetic/electrogravitic spacecraft – yes, UFO’s are man-made, NASA is well known to use a lot of CG imagery, green screen techniques, and constantly alter photographs by removing, smudging, or simply blacking-out man-made objects and structures found on the moon and mars and throughout space, while performing the largest most complex pyrotechnic space-charade puppet show ever, part of an international effort to mask the huge advancements in space that have been taking place over the past 80 years using electromagnetic/electrogravitic antigravity propulsion technology that’s not meant for the republic/goyim, not to mention the apparently fabricated Apollo missions using Masonic astronauts who are sworn to secrecy to maintain the Apollo charade. And being that we had awesome supervisors, part of a great unit of men and women who maintained, modified, and tested aircraft weapon systems as armament systems specialists, part of a well-orchestrated machine that supported some ninety F-15 fighter aircraft, it was a surreal honor having performed before such a huge military crowd, as the base was also set in the Florida pan handle area ‘pert-n-near’ Alabama, yeah 'pert-n-near,' set in a subtropical paradise where there’s beautiful white sand beaches and the ocean is a temperate clear blue. It was amongst the coolest times of my life!\n\nAnd as I reminisce, bringing tears to my eyes, I’m sure you know that it can take a while before one realizes the love they had for someone, often only after they’ve been gone from our lives for quite some time. So what I mean to say is that I dearly miss some wonderful people from down South, from Mr. and Mrs. Powers of ‘Powers Gym’ and my workout buddies, to Big John of ‘John’s Diner’ who treated me like a son, and his wonderful staff of one waitress and two Thai cooks and their awesome food, making the best chicken-fried-rice ever, which is why I had to eat there at least once a week, to many Air Force personnel, both enlisted and officers, great supervisors like Tech Sergeant Hicks (where are you my brother?) and others from the Army, Navy, and Marines whom I made friends with during joint war game exercises, I was fortunate in meeting so many lovely people not only in Florida but Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, to the South and North Carolina's. Other special mentions include those I met in Denver, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, as well as the great rugged country of Iceland where one cannot get enough of the amazing Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights during the long winter nights, the plethora of therapeutic natural hot springs to soak in, and some of the purest water and air one will ever experience! We ultimately spent nearly an entire day at a recording studio cutting the band’s first CD, which was fun and challenging, requiring great patience, but I wanted to accomplish more.\n\nSo ready to level up I began looking for a more business-minded band, preferably one specializing in jazz-funk fusion or alt-rock, one that wanted to tour the Bay Area, California, the country, or internationally, booking multiple venues weekly if possible, as I wanted to see if I could make performing music somewhat of a career; I mean, why not? Well after checking out numerous bands, at least a couple with great potential who were just too far away, I encountered what many musicians would consider the dream of a lifetime; this was not of my imagination and this is the way it went down: \n\nAfter much effort I answered yet another ad calling for a drummer, but this time traveling to rehearsals would be just a straight shot north, up the 101 freeway somewhat near San Francisco, so at least it was conceivable. And after learning more about their long-time experience and connections, I knew they were heavily skilled, professional, and serious, looking to gig long-term with the likelihood of setting me up with at least a moderate career in music. \n\nSo the band member I spoke to went out of his way and drove down the Peninsula to meet with me, which was a good start, and we conveniently met near a music store in Santa Clara. He appeared to be the responsible type, but a classic rocker all the same – jeans and a t-shirt with long hair, not looking homeless or reckless. We sat in his humble late model truck where we discussed more in detail and sampled the band’s music. Things were looking good. I was given the CD to listen to and prepare for the audition – no problem; it was a piece of cake! So what did I learn in our first meeting, but plenty? The band was lacking nothing at all but a drummer. They had all the sound equipment necessary to host their own concerts, all pro gear, had a private warehouse for rehearsals, and best of all had a fully-loaded permanently stationed top-level seven-piece double-bass drum kit which I could use for rehearsals and touring, a huge plus! Also, having already performed many times throughout California, they had countless gigs lined up from Eureka, to Chico, Tahoe, Sacramento, and throughout the entire Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles and Las Vegas. So there was plenty of money to be made, as they were also friends with a couple of L.A. music producers that were prepared to give the band more opportunities once it reformed. All I had to do now was study the music and simply show up with my drumsticks. So that night I eagerly listened to the band’s music. And what, what did I just hear? Ugh, I couldn't believe it. And after further review my heart sunk … to the bottom of the Pacific ocean ... the deepest part. You see, although the music was literally on par with some the best rock available, some of the lyrics were simply vulgar and centered around sexual liaisons that is now quite common in rock, rap, and pop, such as having sex with aliens, girls kissing girls, people killing each other, and some that even exalt Satan, Lucifer, and/or the Illuminati. So I thought to myself, what the hell is wrong with society that such depraved things must be sung about but to have been bewitched  and hell bent, as if lyrics can have no negative influence on personalities and behavior. And though ‘no man’ is perfect or sinless, I personally do not want to condone whoredom or otherwise depraved messages, as the world is sleazy enough, requiring no encouragement from me. Yes I was upset, as I would have crushed it bringing a unique funky-alt-rock interpretation, but their lyrics just murdered the whole deal. \n\nSo I can’t help but ask myself and the republic, knowing there is some really great music with extremely talented musicians and vocalists out there, why in large part must lyrics be so vulgar, so sexually charged and explicit or demonically laced, even going as far as to literally exalt Satan or Lucifer? I mean, I get it; women are beautiful, as I am naturally captivated by a woman’s beauty, and rappers pretending to be real gangsters want to ‘bust a cap’ in other ‘gangstas,’ make it rain money, and drive exotic cars, while in general everyone wants to throw a big party in their big mansions wearing their big diamond watches and gold chains; I get all that! But the fact is, lyrics are increasingly becoming more and more about immorality which is then emphasized in music videos (country music notwithstanding with all the in-yo-face booty), even going as far as encouraging lawlessness, but for those who either don’t care or willfully pollute the mind of others, which for the most part reflects the rise in paganism, Satanism, Luciferianism, and witchcraft that has permeated the entire entertainment industry.\n\n“Know what you’re into.”\n―John Todd (Collins) \nFormer Illuminati member and druid priest\n\nNow I’m not suggesting that music becomes all about puppies and butterflies; but what would happen if the music industry cleaned up their language and videos, especially not spewing political propaganda as many musicians are now used more than ever as political puppets, so the general public wouldn’t have to be subjected to the Zionist globalist brainwashing and degenerate if not sometimes racist lyrics? Aside from all associated scientific data, and contrary to the flat-Earth movement that reeks of a psy-op to again put the republic at odds and wasting countless hours in research and debate, the simple galactic observation of hundreds of planets and moons, whether by hobbyist, scientist, astronaut, or sweet old grandma, can only lead to the logical conclusion that Earth is also a sphere. And being that we had awesome supervisors, part of a great unit of men and women who maintained, modified, and tested aircraft weapon systems as armament systems specialists, part of a well-orchestrated machine that supported some ninety F-15 fighter aircraft, it was a surreal honor having performed before such a huge military crowd, as the base was also set in the Florida pan handle area ‘pert-n-near’ Alabama, yeah 'pert-n-near,' set in a subtropical paradise where there’s beautiful white sand beaches and the ocean is a temperate clear blue. It was amongst the coolest times of my life!\n\nAnd as I reminisce, bringing tears to my eyes, I’m sure you know that it can take a while before one realizes the love they had for someone, often only after they’ve been gone from our lives for quite some time. So what I mean to say is that I dearly miss some wonderful people from down South, from Mr. and Mrs. Powers of ‘Powers Gym’ and my workout buddies, to Big John of ‘John’s Diner’ who treated me like a son, and his wonderful staff of one waitress and two Thai cooks and their awesome food, making the best chicken-fried-rice ever, which is why I had to eat there at least once a week, to many Air Force personnel, both enlisted and officers, great supervisors like Tech Sergeant Hicks (where are you my brother?) and others from the Army, Navy, and Marines whom I made friends with during joint war game exercises, I was fortunate in meeting so many lovely people not only in Florida but Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, to the South and North Carolina's. Other special mentions include those I met in Denver, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, as well as the great rugged country of Iceland where one cannot get enough of the amazing Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights during the long winter nights, the plethora of therapeutic natural hot springs to soak in, and some of the purest water and air one will ever experience! We ultimately spent nearly an entire day at a recording studio cutting the band’s first CD, which was fun and challenging, requiring great patience, but I wanted to accomplish more.\n\nSo ready to level up I began looking for a more business-minded band, preferably one specializing in jazz-funk fusion or alt-rock, one that wanted to tour the Bay Area, California, the country, or internationally, booking multiple venues weekly if possible, as I wanted to see if I could make performing music somewhat of a career; I mean, why not? Well after checking out numerous bands, at least a couple with great potential who were just too far away, I encountered what many musicians would consider the dream of a lifetime; this was not of my imagination and this is the way it went down: \n\nAfter much effort I answered yet another ad calling for a drummer, but this time traveling to rehearsals would be just a straight shot north, up the 101 freeway somewhat near San Francisco, so at least it was conceivable. And after learning more about their long-time experience and connections, I knew they were heavily skilled, professional, and serious, looking to gig long-term with the likelihood of setting me up with at least a moderate career in music. \n\nSo the band member I spoke to went out of his way and drove down the Peninsula to meet with me, which was a good start, and we conveniently met near a music store in Santa Clara. He appeared to be the responsible type, but a classic rocker all the same – jeans and a t-shirt with long hair, not looking homeless or reckless. We sat in his humble late model truck where we discussed more in detail and sampled the band’s music. Things were looking good. I was given the CD to listen to and prepare for the audition – no problem; it was a piece of cake! So what did I learn in our first meeting, but plenty? The band was lacking nothing at all but a drummer. They had all the sound equipment necessary to host their own concerts, all pro gear, had a private warehouse for rehearsals, and best of all had a fully-loaded permanently stationed top-level seven-piece double-bass drum kit which I could use for rehearsals and touring, a huge plus! Also, having already performed many times throughout California, they had countless gigs lined up from Eureka, to Chico, Tahoe, Sacramento, and throughout the entire Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles and Las Vegas. So there was plenty of money to be made, as they were also friends with a couple of L.A. music producers that were prepared to give the band more opportunities once it reformed. All I had to do now was study the music and simply show up with my drumsticks. So that night I eagerly listened to the band’s music. And what, what did I just hear? Ugh, I couldn't believe it. And after further review my heart sunk … to the bottom of the Pacific ocean ... the deepest part. You see, although the music was literally on par with some the best rock available, some of the lyrics were simply vulgar and centered around sexual liaisons that is now quite common in rock, rap, and pop, such as having sex with aliens, girls kissing girls, people killing each other, and some that even exalt Satan, Lucifer, and/or the Illuminati. So I thought to myself, what the hell is wrong with society that such depraved things must be sung about but to have been bewitched  and hell bent, as if lyrics can have no negative influence on personalities and behavior. And though ‘no man’ is perfect or sinless, I personally do not want to condone whoredom or otherwise depraved messages, as the world is sleazy enough, requiring no encouragement from me. Yes I was upset, as I would have crushed it bringing a unique funky-alt-rock interpretation, but their lyrics just murdered the whole deal. \n\nSo I can’t help but ask myself and the republic, knowing there is some really great music with extremely talented musicians and vocalists out there, why in large part must lyrics be so vulgar, so sexually charged and explicit or demonically laced, even going as far as to literally exalt Satan or Lucifer? I mean, I get it; women are beautiful, as I am naturally captivated by a woman’s beauty, and rappers pretending to be real gangsters want to ‘bust a cap’ in other ‘gangstas,’ make it rain money, and drive exotic cars, while in general everyone wants to throw a big party in their big mansions wearing their big diamond watches and gold chains; I get all that!
