Even though <em><strong>Game of Thrones</strong></em> is a social phenomenon, and one of the most pirated series, and probably the most watched in the world, not everybody like it. Yes, you read it right, there are people out there who do not like and / or do not watch <em><strong>Game of Thrones</strong></em>.</p>\n<p>With its, \"<em>I don't want to miss the next episode</em>\". \"<em>Did you download the 4 episodes that were leaked?</em>\" \"<em>Did you read the books?</em>\" \"<em>Is Jon Snow really died?</em>\" The enthusiasm of the media and fans at the broadcast of each season is at best incomprehensible to those diehard viewers, and at worst very annoying.</p>\n<p>Not a day goes by without an article about \"<em><strong>GoT</strong></em>\". The hype around <em><strong>GoT</strong></em> does not make me want to watch, joked Bruce, 35. Those who do not follow the series may especially have the feeling of being \"excluded\" in society. \"<em>Everyone around me just talk about it</em>. \"<em>When is the new episode coming out</em>?\" exclaimed Cindy, 23, a business school student, who also agreed to testify as \"no fan.\" \"<em>You are out of conversation as soon as you mention that you do not watch </em><em><strong>GoT</strong></em><em>,</em>\" adds Kate, 31, a marketing consultant.</p>\n<p>Josh, 18, is constantly find himself in the same situation. \"<em>My close friends are all watching Game of Thrones</em>. It is irritating to hear about it all the time, I never understand what fascinates GoT fans and they don't understand why I don't like GoT as well.</p>\n<p><em><strong>\"Not watching GoT may be seen as unconventional\"</strong></em></p>\n<p>For him, <em><strong>GoT</strong></em> has become a significant fashion trend; to not watch it may be seen as unconventional. Sometimes social pressure is so strong that some end up watching it. This is the case of Candice, 24. \"<em>I didn't like it, but end up watching it since people around me are all talking about GoT</em>. <em>I'm addicted to it no</em>w.</p>\n<p>Are we all going to be <em>GoT</em> fans? Certainly not. Cindy doesn't like the \"reductionist concept of women which is given in this series\", as others are attracted by its fantastic side, violence or medieval costumes. Josh thinks the contrary, with all the fuss about Game of Thrones, viewers might be tired in near future. We can make money on the Internet through a large number platforms, some of them more or less honest. There are plenty of blogs dedicated to the subject.</p>\n<p>When I came across an article talking about the soaring of a new digital currency Steem, I was so excited. I told my friends about about making money on Steemit, they were scepticals, and think I'm crazy. It looks like \"making money on this kind of things\" is immediately associated with \"fraud\", \"too good to be true\", \"scam\" ... I'm a fighter, and won't be daunted by some non-enterprising spirits. I decided to dig deeper into the matter, and realized that this is a gold mine. Basically, Steemit rewards or pays users who post content that gets multiple thumbs up from the site’s participants. The reward given is the steem currency, which can eventually be exchanged for bitcoin within the platform. These hi-tech items we cherish so dearly, contain components made of cobalt and columbite-tantalite, commonly known as coltan, which are largely mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo where there is the deadliest conflict since the Second World War. Over six million people have been killed.</p>\n<p>Approximately 80% of the global resources of some minerals essential for the manufacturing of our cellphones, laptops, tablets, game consoles, digital cameras,... are mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The immense wealth represented by these resources are the subject of war for more than 15 years over the control of the exploitation and trade of minerals (coltan, cassiterite ...).</p>\n<p>Several armed groups are not only fighting against each others, they are plundering and killing the miners, their families, raping women, even babies are not spared. They are committing the worst atrocities ever seen.</p>\n<p><img src=\"http://prntscr.com/bsvaz6\"/></p>\n<p><img src=\"http://prntscr.com/bsvbuq\"/></p>\n<p>For our children to play with Xbox or PlayStation, children of Congo are working in mines without any security and in a unbreathable air for 7/24; they die there when they collapse or when the mine collapses. Other children are enlisted as soldiers, some orphaned and others are killed in front of their mothers.</p>\n<p><img src=\"http://prntscr.com/bsv38g\"/></p>\n<p><img src=\"http://prntscr.com/bsv9el\"/></p>\n<p>Coltan captured by looters is sold in local markets before being shipped abroad and used in the electronics industry. &nbsp;With no boycott and little traceability implemented, the international community prefers to turn a blind eye. The money from the sale is used by looters to buy weapons instead of benefiting the people.</p>\n<p>More than 6 million Congolese have been killed in wars and guerrillas, making it the deadliest conflict since the 2nd World War. In a perfect collective hypocrisy, hi-tech companies including Apple, Samsung, Nokia, LG and many others ..., yet aware of the atrocities, always preferring a cheap mercantilism instead of honest ethics.</p>\n<p>6 million killed, this is 26 times the carnage of the 2004 Tsunami, 330 times the Japanese Tsunami in 2011, more than 4 yellow scholar buses full of corpses a day for about 45 years ... but the fundamental difference and what History will remember is that these men, women and children were killed by other men to the benefit of our enterprises and our \"progress\" amidst the complete indifference of the rest of the world.</p>\n<p>We have been fed with documentaries, investigations, fictions about past barbarisms but one that makes our everyday life and for which we all share consciously or not, is always ignored, dismissed from the major flow of information - too much guilt? fear of consumers reaction? or too little ... or just fun? We should ask our dear \"leaders\" and media.</p>\n<p>Pain will pass through time but no justice can ever repair this incredible crime of humanity against humanity.
