Temperatures reached minus 67 degrees Celsius in the Siberian region of Yakutia.\nDue to the recent freeze, which is expected to continue throughout the week, according to a warning issued by Siberia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, Oymyakon's thermometer broke, Fox 25 Boston reported.\n\nPeople have taken to social media to document the deep freeze, including some adventure seekers who aren't troubled by the cold.\nDespite the extended cold snap, schools in the area are not closing — they only close once temperature reaches minus 52, according to Mother Nature Network .\nThe cold snap comes after the U.S. has experienced some record-freezing temeperatures of its own. Earlier this month, the U.S. experienced a \"bomb cyclone\" or “bombogenesis,” as it was dubbed by meteorologists.\nMuch of the U.S. experienced low temperatures as the record-breaking cold moved along the Eastern Seaboard from the Carolinas to Maine.\nOn Wednesday, southern parts of the U.S. awoke to a two-part Arctic mess that caused problems as far south as the Gulf Coast. GM has not only revealed what its level 4 self-driving vehicle will look like -- in a video you can watch after the break -- but also announced that it filed a Safety Petition to be able to deploy its completely driverless version of Chevy Bolt called Cruise AV in 2019. The company describes it as \"the first production-ready vehicle built from the start to operate safely on its own, with no driver, steering wheel, pedals or manual controls.\"\n\n\nAs you can see above, Cruise AV is much different from the self-driving Chevy Bolts GM is testing in California. It has no controls whatsoever, not even buttons you can push -- it 100 percent treats you as a passenger, no matter where you sit. The car can even open and shut doors on its own. Now, autonomous cars like this don't meet the Federal Motor Vehicle's safety standards. Automakers could apply for exemption, but the government can only exempt 2,500 vehicles every year. GM President Dan Ammann told The Verge that the company is not seeking for an exemption, though -- instead, it wants to \"meet that standard in a different kind of way.\"\n\nHe explained:\n\n\"What we can do is put the equivalent of the passenger side airbag on that side as well. So its to meet the standards but meet them in a way that's different than what's exactly prescribed, and that's what the petition seeks to get approval for.\"\n\nA number of automakers and transportation companies banded together last year to call for a change to those rules. \"Without changes to these regulations,\" GM VP Michael Abelson told a subcommittee that time, \"it may be years before the promise of today's technology can be realized and thousands of preventable deaths... will happen.\"\n\nAutomakers will have to see those changes come to light if they want their fully autonomous cars to hit the road. GM might beat them to the punch, but rival companies like Ford, Mercedes and Waymo all plan to release cars with no steering wheels of their own.",

Typhoid conjugate vaccines (TCVs) are innovative products that have longer-lasting immunity than older vaccines, require fewer doses, and can be given to young children through routine childhood immunization programs. The fact that the vaccine has been prequalified by WHO means that it meets acceptable standards of quality, safety and efficacy. This makes the vaccine eligible for procurement by UN agencies, such as UNICEF, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.\n\nIn October 2017, the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on immunization, which advises WHO, recommended TCV for routine use in children over 6 months of age in typhoid endemic countries. SAGE also called for the introduction of TCV to be prioritized for countries with the highest burden of typhoid disease or of antibiotic resistance to Salmonella Typhi, the bacterium that causes the disease. Use of the vaccine should also help to curb the frequent use of antibiotics for treatment of presumed typhoid fever, and thereby help to slow the alarming increase in antibiotic resistance in Salmonella Typhi.\n\nShortly after SAGE’s recommendation, Gavi Board approved US$85 million in funding for TCVs starting in 2019. Prequalification is therefore a crucial next step needed to make TCVs available to low-income countries where they are needed most. And even in non-Gavi-supported countries, prequalification can help expedite licensure.\n\nWHO prequalification helps to ensure that vaccines used in immunization programmes are safe, effective, and appropriate for countries’ needs. WHO’s prequalification procedure consists of a transparent, scientifically sound assessment that includes reviewing the evidence, testing the consistency of each lot of manufactured vaccine, and visiting the manufacturing site.\n\nTyphoid is a serious and sometimes fatal disease spread through contaminated food and water. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhea or constipation. For millions of people living in low- and middle-income countries, typhoid is an ever present reality. Global estimates of the typhoid burden range between 11 and 20 million cases and between about 128 000 and 161 000 typhoid deaths annually. Poor communities and vulnerable groups, such as children, are often the most susceptible.\n\nUrbanization and climate change have the potential to increase the global burden of typhoid. Taking A Shower Or Bath\n\nThis is something a lot of people are guilty of. Little do they know, taking a bath or a shower after eating is a no no. Keep in mind that when you eat, your stomach needs a good amount of blood for proper digestion. When you take a shower or a bath after a meal, this may interfere the digestion process. There will be less blood flow around your stomach. Aside from this, it weakens the digestive system. Experts say that it is best to wait for about 30 minutes before you rush to the shower after a meal.\n\n2. Wearing Tight-Fitting Clothes\n\nWhen eating a meal, you should allow your stomach to properly digest the food you have eaten. This means wearing tight-fitting clothes during meal time can put pressure on your abdomen, which may lead to heartburn. Of course, you don’t want that to happen. As much as possible, wear loose and comfortable clothes when eating something. On the other hand, if there is a need to go out for lunch or dinner and you have to wear something fitting, you may change into loose clothes the moment you get home. In addition, wearing light and loose clothes can help you sleep better. It decreases your body temperature, helping you sleep comfortably.\n\n3. Sleeping\n\nA lot of people are probably guilty of this one. No matter how sleepy you are, it is never healthy to sleep right after a meal. If you lie down or take a nap after eating, chances are, the digestive juices in your stomach will travel in opposite direction. They travel into your food pipe and this can burn the inner layer of your esophagus. This can cause a burning sensation. As much as possible, make it a point not to sleep right after eating your meal. Try to do other activities that can prevent you from sleeping or taking a nap.\n4. Never Drink Tea Or Coffee After A Meal\n\nTea and coffee are known for their health benefits. They reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and provide antioxidants to the body. However, drinking them right after a meal should not be done. This is because both tea and coffee are packed with substances that can affect proper absorption of certain vitamins and minerals. In fact, they contain tannins and polyphenols that are known to inhibit the absorption of iron in the body. When this happens, it may lead to anemia or iron deficiency. Aside from this, the acid content of the tea may harden the protein content. As it occurs, your digestive system may find it hard to process the food. It is advisable to drink tea or coffee one hour after your meal.\n\n5. Heavy Exercise Or Moving Too Much\n\nA heavy exercise or doing something that requires moving too much when you just had your meal is obviously something you should never do. A heavy exercise specifically at night is not a healthy thing to do because it significantly raises the temperature of your body and hinders proper digestion. For instance, if you do a cardio session after your dinner, this can prevent the release of melatonin, an essential hormone responsible for regulating sleep. This also signifies that exercising after your dinner can interfere your body’s ability to fall asleep. Doing so can also leave you feeling lethargic and sluggish. Aside from this, it promotes stomach pain or cramping. In some cases, it may lead to nausea, vomiting and acid reflux.\n\n6. Brushing Your Teeth\n\nNormally, people would say that it is important to brush your teeth after eating. Yes, it is vital for dental health but don’t do it immediately after eating. According to the American Dental Association, brushing your teeth before going to bed is essential for overall oral health. This can neutralize the PH of the mouth and get rid of plaque. When you are done eating, it is recommended to wait about 30 minutes before brushing your teeth.\n7. Smoking Is Bad\n\nAs always, smoking is not good for your health specifically right after eating a meal. According to a study, smoking a stick of cigarette after a meal is equivalent to 10 cigarettes. With this, it may increase the risk of lung cancer, ulcerative colitis and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. Smoking after a meal may lead to heartburn because it relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter of your body. Remember that a stick of cigarette alone is packed with 60 carcinogens. Needless to say, smoking is not good at all.\n\n8. Taking A Walk \n\nWalking is good for you, however you should consider a perfect time for doing it. For instance, it is not good to take a little stroll after eating a meal. This may cause stomach upsets and indigestion. Aside from this, it can promote acid reflux. If you really want to take a walk after eating, wait about an hour before doing so. The main point here is, there is a right time for walking.\n\n9. Drinking Cold Water\n\nWater is essential for proper digestion. However, you should not drink cold water after a meal. This is because it can lead to clumping of food, which results in poor digestion process.\n\n10. Eating Fruits After A Meal Is Not Healthy\n\nFruits are known for their health benefits. However, people need to know that various foods digest at different speeds. When you eat fruits, they are digested faster and easier. However, some fruits require different enzymes to properly digest them. If you eat them right after your meal, chances are, your digestive system won’t be able to process them properly. This may lead to bloating. If you really want to eat fruits, it is best to consume them in the morning or before eating any meal.",

      "body": "![facebook-delete-any-photo-hack.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSypwB5idj6PNdACnumDoShg9DQDLjnpgJyhzVnqbtnD8/facebook-delete-any-photo-hack.png)\nIf you think a website whose value is more than $500 billion does not have any vulnerability in it, then you are wrong.\nPouya Darabi, an Iranian web developer,\ndiscovered and reported a critical yet straightforward vulnerability in Facebook earlier this month that could have allowed anyone to delete any photo from the social media platform.\nThe vulnerability resides in Facebook's new Poll feature, launched by the social media giant earlier this month, for posting polls that include images and GIF animations.\nDarabi analyzed the feature and found that when creating a new poll, anyone can easily replace the image ID (or gif URL) in the request sent to the Facebook server with the image ID of any photo on the social media network.\nNow, after sending the request with another user image ID (uploaded by someone else), that photo would appear in the poll.\n\"Whenever a user tries to create a poll, a request containing gif URL or image id will be sent, poll_question_data[options][][associated_image_id] contains the uploaded image id,\" Darabi said. \"When this field value changes to any other images ID, that image will be shown in poll.\"\nApparently, if the creator of the poll deletes that post (poll), as demonstrated in the video above, it would eventually delete the source photo as well, whose image ID was added to the request—even if the poll creator doesn't own that photo.\nThe researcher said he received $10,000 as his bug bounty reward from Facebook after he responsibly reported this vulnerability to the social media network on November 3. Facebook patched this issue on November 5.\nThis isn't the first time when Facebook has been found dealing with such a vulnerability. In the past, researchers discovered and reported several issues that let them delete videos ,\nphoto albums , and comments and modify messages from the social media platform.\nDarabi has also previously been awarded by Facebook with a $15,000 bug bounty for bypassing its cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection systems (in 2015) and another\n$7,500 for a similar issue (in 2016).",

The strategy for the use of information technology (IT) is no longer something that can be delegated as the sole concern of the IT department. It must be firmly rooted in the business strategic plan (strategic plan). Many businesses are now embracing the objective of transforming their operations through the effective use of technology. This can only be done effectively when both IT and service heads understand what it means for existing architecture, operating processes, staff skills, supplier management, governance, and organizational culture.\n\n“Given the growing importance of technology in every business, technology organizations must have clear strategic direction and priorities that are closely linked to the business strategy,” says Brad Strock, CIO of PayPal.\n\nThe business view of IT must evolve beyond creating a short list of technologies to implement. The IT budget is not about buying the latest “toys for the boys”. Rather, it is an assessment of the changes and investment required to achieve business goals. This is ‘digital transformation’ (DX), best described as a complete change to the nature or manner of business operations through the application of digital technology. The change is based on data-driven innovation that makes the best use of technology.\n\nThe DX journey follows the tried and tested path of traditional change projects which set and communicate a clear vision that is owned by the leadership of the organization. The innovation is then derived from the analysis of data which is used to set the requirements and scope of the change required. Change teams then use this to identify potential options through collaboration with technology suppliers and vendors. It is essential to ensure the operational and strategic requirements of the business are fully addressed through the solution as the change needs to deliver quick wins along with the overall objective of the project/program. The rate of change must not exceed the readiness for change assessment of host organization, else the changes will not be sustainable as planned.\n\nAdopting completely new technology is usually disruptive as it often requires a complete change in skills and operational processes. However, there are often areas of work where existing practices just need to be tweaked to facilitate the necessary changes to the overall system.
