| body | ‘So,’ began Doctor James as they stood from their seats, ‘Why is it that the governor has no knowledge of the kidnap of such an important person?’ ‘Because we have made sure that he doesn’t.’ Sir Christopher reached for his umbrella that stood by the corner, ‘there is a diplomacy to these kinds of events. Surely a great detective such as yourself would understand.’ ‘You have been sending the governor letters in the victim’s signature?’ said James. ‘Not the best of ideas, but it is what we have got. The thing is, the governor has written us,’ he folded his brows in cerebration, ‘has written the said “person” of his coming five days from now. time is of the most importance.’ Doctor James looked round him and below, people were already dispersing and he wondered why they were not moving, instead, they just stood while Sir Christopher spoke on. ‘It is the crowd,’ said Sir Christopher as if he read the Doctor’s mind, then squeezed his face in disapproval, ‘there is something fetid about the way they smell, noisome if you ask me.’ ‘The governor is coming to Westbrook district?’ James asked. ‘Cadbury to be precise.’ Doctor James looked at the dangling body of the recently executed man. It swung like a pendulum, nothing but a lifeless sack of meat and blood. The hangman had left the body dangling to go mingle with the crowd, and nobody seemed to pay the dead man no mind, except James Longbutton. ‘How did he know that this important “person” was visiting Cadbury? I mean Robinhood? How did he know?’ asked Doctor Longbutton. The Earl shrugged, ‘honestly, I cannot even speculate. We tried to be as surreptitious as possible nut somehow the information slipped out and right now, there is no one in our service we can trust. That’s why we need you.’ ‘So what do you think Doctor?’ Betty asked him, ‘Was it someone from the inner caucus?’ ‘Hard to think it wasn’t.’ Doctor James turned to Sir Christopher, ‘I will need to speak to all who had access to information about this visit.’ Sir Christopher, however, did not even look at him. instead, he stared at the dangling dead man, ‘it is an arcane thought, surely, that we may not even be conscious of being alive. Don’t you think Doctor?’’ ‘Well,’ James Longbutton shrugged, ‘I would have to be dead to bother myself with thoughts like that.’ Sir Christopher shrugged again, then he looked down the roof. The crowd had disappeared, and where there was once hundreds of people was now just empty and capacious. ‘Well, we should probably move now, I have a carriage waiting.’ Sir Christopher lead them down the stairs and into the road where his brown carriage was waiting. They boarded the vehicle, Christopher sitting at the end opposite James and Betty had sat beside him, leaving Doctor James alone on the long, soft, seat. Doctor james looked oytside as the driver whipped the horses and they started to trot. He reminisced about his last case, the death of a woman son. Found in the well the boy was, dead and folded, as if he was forced to fit inside the open earth, and that was about three years ago. And then he separated with Betty and moved to the countryside, he had decided he was out of the business, and yet, she had brought him back in. He gave her a wistful stare. ‘Why did you come to me Betty jones?’ he asked. ‘you could have someone else to solve this case.’ She smiled at him and leaned into the arm of sir Christopher, ‘Because he is Robinhood, and you are James Longbutton.’ |

| body | “The caped crusader? Are you out of your mind?’ Doctor James Longbutton said to the Sir Christopher, not minding the Earl’s indignation at his insolence. Aristocrats like Sir Christopher loved to command, and behest, and the doctor would allow him no pleasure to do so, although the idea of going after Robinhood was inciting, he wanted to hear the Earl beg for it. The cardinal was still on his execrations, and the impatient crowd listened not with any sort of reverence or piety but with a tremendous expectation that the cardinal would finish sooner than he would have planned. “Surely, a great detective such as yourself shall not be daunted by such a task. You are reputable, he is formidable, but I know you can help us get to Robinhood.” Sir Christopher said. “I take it that it is the governor’s wishes to see to that Robinhood is given to the gallows.” Doctor James asked. Sir Christopher stuttered, ‘Well…well, I am most certain that it would be.’ “You are most certain? The governor is not aware?” “No. Three days ago, an important person to the governor was visiting Cadbury,” said Christopher. “I take it this important person never reached Cadbury?” doctor James added quickly. “You catch on fast. The whole carriage was purloined before it even reached the cemetery. We suspect it is bee hidden in the forest. We need you to infiltrate Robinhood’s circle and find this person.” Said Christopher. “But that’s not all is it? Assuming I find this person, I suppose my next task would be to dismantle the Robinhood network, wouldn’t it?” “from the inside, yes. And what a great honor that would be, even for you.” Christopher smiled. Bleeding aristocrat. James muttered as he turned to Betty who was completely captured by the Cardinal’s jeremiad. “Betty, is this why you have had me brought here?” he said to her, “to pursue some caped crusader?” “I thought you would be interested,” Betty replied, “you were always stuck in the countryside, I thought a little adventure would interest you.” James did not answer. He leaned forward to get a better view of the hanging. The cardinal had concluded his sermon and the whole crowd waited for the signal, everyone watched the hangman’s hand waiting to pull the lever. Making a sign of the cross, the cardinal nodded at the hangman, the hangman understood and pulled the lever, and the ground below the condemned man open. The man went down with a force but his feet never touched the earth. His body twitched, then twisted, his veins distended and his mouth opened slightly for a modicum of breath. Quietly and curiously, the crowd watched the suffocating man, twitching like a burn rope. “They usually don’t last this long,” said Betty, her gaze stuck at the wrangling man. “So, Doctor,” Christopher leaned to his left ear, “will you help us.” Yes, he would. He had already made up his mind even before the earl had asked. But he kept silent and watched both the hanged man struggle and Sir Christopher suffer suspense. The man twitched, then stopped moving, then twitched again, then suddenly stopped twitching. The crowd became filled with words again, people began to murmur, and some had even turned to leave, their face emoting excitement. “Strange hangin’ today,” Betty said as she leaned back into her chair. Doctor James Longbutton smiled, “Get a hobby Betty.” He turned to the Earl, “yes I will help you. Tell me more of what happened.” |

| body | Greetings my Prince, Forgive me, but I can imagine. There, not a single day passes that I do not imagine. Yet, today remains but a little while. Only yesterday it was morning and time seemed to have raced rather than walk, or drift as we expect it would. It is not a fault of time, you see, not of death, and not of those things which we dread as if they were not just evils but afflictions. See then if this follows: that one thing should be good at one time and be evil at another time, if one thing shall bring joy now and at a later time, cause trepidation. You may argue, as you often do, that neccesity must be considered, and that what is neccesary at one time may not be neccesary at another. But neccesity can be neither a good nor a bad. Nothing can. You still may argue, that if neccesity is neither a good nor an evil, why do those men who cry out to their gods plead their cases on no other foundation than that they have done what was only neccesary. Take him then to his own court, and present his case before him, gently explaining to him that what he had taken into his possession or anything he has come to value as priceless does not come by chance but by what he chooses. Therefore, it follows then that no one chooses what is due to chance, but even in the randomness of chance, a man can still choose. Many men suffer therefore, not what has been pressed upon them by chance but what they themselves have chosen. The afflictions of love, the betrayal of trust, the undeserved end to life, and all others things that concerns the mere man did not fall upon him as he wishes to claim, but rather what he had chosen, perhaps ignorantly but never unintentionally. I hear the rain, and the soft melody of the pattering drops saying, "stand your ground man, and live. For no man lives two lives!" "why do you dread change?" they say, "or death, or trials or anything which has an element of endurance?" All things are as you will it, and nothing is new to the universe and if anything be new, it is certainly not strange. Whatever has come by chance is nothing but a change, a mere transition, but what is good or evil remains totally in our choosing, therefore, choose to enjoy life without any apprehension of death, or love or the time that cuts short of itself. It is true indeed, that no one steps in the same river twice, and that which has flown is way gone, and that which is to come is on its way. And here lies the fault of men, they linger after what has gone, afraid of what is to come, and complain of what is. Published by Aseneca. |

| title | The Hangman Tragedy Part 2 |
| body | Hurriedly, she led him through the stringent crowd into a large tavern. the tavern was filled with people who had come from every corner of Cadbury to witness the hanging and some of them were already calling for bets on how long the criminal would last stretched down the noose. “It was a highway man that was to be hung and there is something I wish for you to see,” Betty had explained when he asked her about the hanging and why they were going to see it. They pushed through the crowd to a flight of stairs that led up to the roof where their seats were. The seats were exclusive and were four in number, and one was already occupied. Doctor James Longbutton assumed the seats must have ben expensive, but he did not question her about it. “Quite a view eh?” Betty asked him as they sat down. James shrugged in response. He wasn’t one for too many words, and Betty had known him long enough to understand that his reticence never implied any insult of any kind. ‘From here we can see the rungs layin’ and the whole thing. That’s why I paid for these exclusive seats, ‘cos I don’t want no bleeding bugger obstructing my view of the show.’ Betty continued. “Show?” there was a sententious tone in James voice, “this is execution Betty. Not an entertainment for your pleasure.” “Oh, loosen up,” she nudged him, smiling briefly as she did so. She understood him, perhaps, more than any other person in the whole of England and they had been together for a while and he had loved her more than he had ever loved anything else, but as fortuitous as things became, they decided to part ways. And he felt that was the best they could have done, given how different they were: Betty was ambitious and urban, he on the other hand was indifferent and rustic. Yet, even after all these years, there was something about her that sparked in his eyes, a distinct glow, coruscating when she smiled. And perhaps that was why he had never really fancied any other woman after she had left him. “Betty,” he said in a warning tone, “why am I here? What was the matter of grave importance which you spoke of in your letters?” He turned as another man came up the roof. He was a fairly sized man with an oval shaped face, he had eyes that seemed to sink inside their sockets and a certain gentle air around him. He wore a round derby hat and carried an umbrella. “Miss. Betty,” the man greeted, taking the other empty seat, ‘and you must be Doctor James Longbutton.” He said to James, and stretched his hand for a handshake, a genial smile wrung across his face. James shook his hand gently, “I don’t remember ever having the pleasure sir.” “This here is Earl Christopher Wentworth,” Betty introduced the fellow, “deputy administrator of the home office. It was he who demanded I summon you here. Business and all.” The crowd below jumped into a frenzy as soon as the prisoner climbed on to the platform, cheering and yelling. while some had started to throw fruits at the man, some were begging the hangman, a man with a round belly that looked in his early fifties, to make the hanging much slower, which in turn meant more painful. “Ever witnessed a hanging before Doctor? or should I say detective?” Christopher asked him. “No. This is my first time.” he replied, eager to change the subject, “tell me, why am I here?” Christopher pulled his hat and swept his hand gently across his hair. On the platform, the prisoner had already had his hands bound to his back and the noose around his neck, while the hangman had his hand positioned on the lever, all waiting for the cardinal to complete his sermon of repentance. “It is a complex one, this system we have.’ Said Christopher, ‘you are not of a radical disposition are you?” James shook his head, “Nonetheless, I do not believe in the bleeding code. Too many flaws believe me, and too many injustices.” “Well, sometimes you need injustice, as a herald of course, to proper justice.” Said Christopher, “do you agree with me Betty?” Betty was not even paying any attention to what the men discussed. Her attention was on the platform and on the cardinal, who rained all sort of condemnation on the condemned prisoner. “Enough politics now sir Christopher. Once again, I ask you, why have you asked for my presence?” James asked, his patience wearing thin. “Because I need your help doctor.” Christopher replied, “I need you to help me find Robinhood.” |

| body | He walked a few steps ahead of her. The snow beneath his feet felt as heavy as the chains that hung above his shoulders and the night was as frigid as any. Wait. She called out to him, her voice echoing like a distant memory. But he did not stop nor slow down, his eyes focused on the cave in front, and everything behind felt as if they never existed. She ran up to him, grabbed his arm and twisted it so hard that he spun and faced her, his yellow eyes burned like liquid gold, sending a flight of dread down her spine. You don't have to do this. She cried. There is another way. He stared at her, unable to mutter any word. He was running out of time. He looked to the sky, the moon had not come in full force. He felt the hair on his neck rise, and the familiar whisper of the dark cave. He had to do this. It was tradition. The cave was the only place that could protect the world and her, not from anything else but the wolf that howled within him. |

| title | The Hangman Tragedy Part 1 |
| body | It was November the 15th, 1822, and there was neither a time he had ever read nor heard when the purlieu of Westbrook district had ever had such bustle. The natural ambience was lost in a preponderance of brouhahas and ruckus, and even the air smelled unclean. The market women hurried to and fro, most of them carrying their merchandise in a hamper that hung slightly below their shoulders. It was in this busy city of Cadsbury that Doctor James Longbutton was supposed to be meeting with his friend. Although, if it were up to him, he would have preferred they had met at one of the rustic inns at the countrysides, but Betty Jones had always had a proclivity for the bustling ruction of the city, so she had insisted they met at Cadbury, and he could never say "no" to Betty Jones. "Away from the road, you bugger!" A carter who was dragging a large cart filled with lemons yelled him out of his thoughts, and he quickly acquiesced and apologized he gently stepped out of the way, but the Carter paid him no mind as he dragged the heavy cart past him, and a woman who seems to be the owner of the lemons hurriedly trailed behind the carter. He wasn't used to this kind of life. He had always been one for the quiet verdant environs of the countryside, and he had spent the most of his life there, tending to the horses and cows, hunting for deers in the forests, and smoking pipe with the lovely ladies of the countryside. James decided to step off the road and back into the "jork". The jork was a tavern that apparently suited Betty's taste because it was here she had demanded they meet. Although why she had asked him to meet her at a tavern popular for its highway men and women instead of her house was a mystery to him. He lifted up his finger and signified for another drink which the bartender served him almost immediately. The tavern was quiet and scanty and hot, another reason why he avoided the cities like a plague. The temperature. He could not endure the scorching temperatures of the cities, and just a few hours waiting for Betty inside the hot tavern had felt like torture. He gulped down the whiskey, letting out a sight of relief as he dropped the cup, then he took another look at his watch. "Waiting for someone eh? " the bartender, a brusque and huge fellow with a broad face and a bunch of rough looking stubbles around his thick jaw. "Ah, yes!" James replied aloud as soon as he realized he was the one the bartender was talking to. "outside seems quite busy and in here is a bit scanty," James quickly added. "Not usually so," said the bartender, "today, folks are all gathered up in West Avenue, no one wants to miss a twitching." "A twitching? " James was unsure of what the man meant. "A hangin', a quick drop and a sudden stop, a leg in the hole, a duck stretching, whatever it is folks are calling it these days. Thing is, everyone wants to see a felon hang, gives them a cheer that sort of thing." *A hanging.* James have heard of the hangings many times over and how people frenzied over watching a man go down the gallows, but he himself had never seen a hanging. He was used to killing people with guns and knifes, as the war had taught him, not strangling them from the noose. "You don't look like you are from around these parts," said the bartender and James shook his head in response. "Ever seen a hanging?" the bartender asked again. And James shook his head in response. "Never seen one myself. Inhumane that is, to go by the noose, bloody inhumane is the way I see it. But I think I will go see this one, see for myself why people are rushing just to see a man bloody hang. " continued the bartender. James did not answer and the bartender, taking note of James's silence, inferred that James was not in the mood for a chitchat and stopped talking. James ordered for another glass of whiskey and gulped it as soon as it landed on the table. He looked at his watch again. He was staring to feel anger at Betty was keeping him waiting like this. She was the one who had arranged for them to meet, she had specified the time and had insisted that he came as early as he could and here he was, waiting for her, and she was no where close. Feeling chagrin, he gathered his newspaper and his hat, dug his hand into his pocket to pay the bartender when he heard a familiar voice behind him. "I hope you didn't drink too much, Doctor James." He turned and Betty was standing behind him, her form as splendid as usual and her lissome structure was covered with a lilac gown and nothing else. She was panting, as if she had ran all the way, but she till managed to smile at him, a smile that drained away all his anger at her. He could never be angry at her, he could not even remember a time when he had ever been. "I am sorry I showed up late. " she apologized, "Domestic problems. Please, let me pay for your drinks. At least, that would go a long way to show how sorry I am. " She reached for her purse and pulled out five guineas and payed the bartender. "You must be dying to leave this place," she eyed him gently, "the city has never appealled to you in anyway. " "Well, you know me. " he replied, "you sounded quite urgent in your letter. What is it that has made you drag me from the comfort of my village to this hell of a place? " "Doctor James Longbutton," she chuckled as if they mention of his full name tickled her, "always the same I see. Let us not rush into matters, although the reason I have summoned you here is as important as any other. " "Not important enough. " He muttered. She shot him a quick glance, and inferred that he was referring to here lateness but she ignored him. "Come now," she grabbed his hand as if to pull him forward, "we must hurry. I have booked two seats and we don't want to miss it. " "Don't want to miss what?" He asked as he stumbled behind her as they stepped out of the tavern into the busy road. She smiled at him, then looked expectantly at the busy crowd, and answered succinctly, "The hanging. " |

| title | Defense Audit Provides Improved Accounting for Spending, Inventories. |
| body | "The Defense Department audit that is underway will allow leaders in the White House, the Pentagon and Congress to find better ways to account for taxpayers’ dollars, DoD’s chief financial officer said yesterday. In an interview with WGAN radio in Portland, Maine, Pentagon Comptroller David L. Norquist said the audit’s results should be available in the fall. “We normally have audits of individual programs, but this one is the entire department, so it verifies account, location, condition of our inventory, all the equipment, test for security vulnerabilities and validating personnel records and payments,” he said. Next year’s fiscal year defense budget, for example, is set at $717 billion. The audit looks at all property, all equipment and all personnel, and it ensures accountability and provides transparency for the American taxpayer, the chief financial officer said. ## Annual Audit Thousands of DoD auditors worldwide are involved in the process, Norquist said, and the department will do this every year. He said the audit invariably will find faults that will need to be corrected. Having an audit allows leaders to make changes and then ensure those changes are doing what is intended, Norquist said. “One of the things that often happens with audits is the public goes, ‘Well, what became of it?’” he said. “‘What did people do?’” Each year, he said, the public will see what the findings were, what was fixed and what remains to be done. “So it’ll be an annual process, and as I like to say to the workforce, it will go on as long as we both shall live,” Norquist said. Audits are valuable in that they find challenges, he said. “Often, those are areas where people are doing things manually or the data is not compatible,” he added, “and when you streamline them, you get more efficiencies [and] you get more savings.” ## Navy Savings Already, he said, the Navy saved $65 million by transmitting things in a more automated and complete format. “We expect to see more of that across the organization,” Norquist said. Another result, he said, is the organization gets better data quality for decision making. “When getting ready for the audit, the Army identified 39 Black Hawk helicopters that were not properly in its property system,” Norquist said. “Now, the person who had them knew they were there, but if the department was looking across its inventory, it would not have seen [them].” The audit also is part of implementing the new National Defense Strategy, Norquist said, noting that the strategy shifts DoD’s focus to developing the capabilities needed to prevail in high-end conflicts against China and Russia." **Excerpt from DoD news, defense media activity.** |

| title | A Poison Tree |
| body | A poison tree Poem by William Blake I was angry with my friend, i told my wrath and my wrath did end I was angry with my foe, i told my wrath not and my wrath did grow And so i watered it in fears Day and night with my tears And I sunned it with smiles And Soft deceitful wiles And it grew both day and night Till It bore an apple bright And My foe saw it shine And he knew it was mine And into the garden stole As the night doth veiled the pole Come Morning glad i see My Foe outstretched beneath the tree. |

| title | The Scientific "Maybe" : A Probability-Possibility Dilemma |
| body | There is without doubt that most of us employ these concepts in our day to day activities, sometimes even interchanging one for the other, while some will take a bolder step and assume them to be the same. What is probability and what is possibility? Are they the same? Are they related in any way? How do these concepts affect you and I as individuals? These conundrums will be clarified in this article as we take a deeper look into the possibility-probability relationship. ## Probability or Possibility James woke up one morning and suddenly began asking himself, "what if I die tomorrow?" Granted, everyone would die someday, but how sure is he that that it would be tommorow. Notice that this is however different from James asking himself the question, "what if I don't wake up from my sleep?" or "what is the likelihood of me eating pancakes this morning?" which is quite different from the question, "what is the likelihood of me eating pancakes this morning out of a hamper of cakes, doughnuts and pancakes?" How then do these questions differ when they seem so much alike? We will get to that in a minute. #### Probability Probability as defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary is "A measure of how often an a measure of how often a particularevent will happen if something (such as tossing a coin) is done repeatedly." It also defines it implicitly as "the chance that a given event will occur." Mathematically, Probability is defined as the "the ratio of the number of outcomes in an exhaustive set of equally likely outcomes that produce a given event to the total number of possible outcomes. Put simply, probability is the quality or condition of being ***probable*** It is this definition that we find the most intrinsic and distinguishing property of the probability concept : it is quantifiable. Mathematically, the quantification can be seen as a range bar with 0 at one end and 1 at the other end where 0 implies an impossibility and 1 represents certainty. Therefore, in a situation where an action is repetitive, a probability closer to 0 on the range bar indicates an that an event is less likely to occur if the action is repeated while a probability closer to 1 indicates a likelihood for the event to occur. If James gets ready for work and would have to choose between wearing his black shoes and brown shoes, if we have an idea of what shoe James wore the day before and the day before that, we could from the application of probability infer what shoe James might put on today, i.e, if James had worn the brown shoe on Monday and the black shoe on Tuesday and the brown shoe on Wednesday, then it is highly probably that he would wear the black shoe on Thursday but not certain. Therefore in this case, the probability of James wearing a black shoe would be slightly greater that 1/2, which indicates a likelihood. However, if James had only one shoe and the shoe was coloured brown, then the probabilty of James wearing a Brown shoe to work would be highly certain and would be quantified as 1 while the probability of James wearing a black shoe is highly improbable because James does not have a black shoe, therefore the probability would be quantified as 0. ##### Negative probability Negative probability is not a usual occurrence but is usually said to occur in quasiprobabilistic distributions. These distributions are usually found in the application of quantum mechanics and and time-frquency analysis and also in finance where the concepts of negative money arises. In his book, *Interpretations of Negative Probabilities*, Mark Burgins gave an example of what might be inferred as negative probability : >Let us consider the situation when an attentive person A with the high knowledge of English writes some text T. We may ask what the probability is for the word “texxt” or “wrod” to appear in his text T. Conventional probability theory gives 0 as the answer. However, we all know that there are usually misprints. So, due to such a misprint this word may appear but then it would be corrected. In terms of extended probability, a negative value (say, −0.1) of the probability for the word “texxt” to appear in his text T means that this word may appear due to a misprint but then it’ll be corrected and will not be present in the text T. Negative probabilities are also seen in both finance (also known as risk neutral probabilities) and in engineering as well where retrogression and risk induced Correlations are modelled when facility locations, customer allocation, and backup service plans are determined simultaneously. Thus negative probabilities are known as puesdo probabilities or conditional probabilities where later occurrences might be taken into consideration allowing the probablistic value to exceed unity in case of assumed conditional occurrences. Take for example, in the James-shoe dilemma, in the case of James having only a pair of brown shoes and no black shoe, the probability of him wearing a black shoe is 0 but can be extended to -1 under the condition that on his way to work, James might branch into one of the boutiques along the way and get himself a black shoe. This is a quasiprobability, and is in some way much closer to *possibility* except that it is in this case, quantifiable. #### Possibility Possibility can be defined as a chance that something might exist, happen, or be true. It in simple terms, "the state or fact of being possible." the concept of possibility puts event in prospective values but not quantifiable and not in relation with other events. In other words, possibility cannot be measured and is independent of other events. In our earlier example, where James wakes up and ask himself, "what if I die tomorrow?" However, this question has only a prospective value and cannot be quantified because, yes, it is *possible* that James might die tomorrow just as well as it is possible for James to die tomorrow from a thunderstorm or a stroke. But what if James was a healthy as a horse and has no history of stroke in his family line, then although it is *possible* that James does from stroke tommorow, it is highly improbable. Just as it is highly improbable from him to die from a thunderstorm if the weather tomorrow would be above 40 degrees although it is *possible*. Similar, the question of James eating pancake in the morning is a *possibility* but how *probable* we do not know simply because we have no relative event or any recurrence to measure by what degree of *possibility* is the event of James eating a pancake in the morning. However, in a hamper of cakes, doughnuts and pancakes, then we can infer that the probability of James eating pancakes in the morning is 1/3, just as it is probable for him to eat cake or doughnuts. The concept of probabilities and possibilities, however complicated can be simplified thus: *probability* is the measure of the degree of *possibility* of an occurrence of an event. ***I hope I have cleared the quandary on the differences between the *probable* concept and the *possible* concept. | title | Is My Child A Genius? 6 Tell-tale Signs That Indicates Genius In Children |
| body | Hello moms and dads. Does your child behave quite weird, or should I say unusual? Does he like asking questions that seem too precocious for his age? Does she like playing board games and like spending more time to herself? *Fear not. You may have another Albert Einstein up your sleeves.* After adequate research, it has been shown that some children could indicate a genius personality right from a tender age and if guided and pinpointed correctly, these children may be as intelligent as some of the greatest minds you might ever attempt to comprehend. Below are six (6) tell tale signs that indicates a large level of intelligence in your kid: 1. ## ALWAYS ON THE CLOCK. Kids who are gifted with an incredible amount of genius have an innate knack for accomplishing certain feats at the appropriate time. This could include crawling, walking, talking and even laughing. If you have a child who seems to excel at all this activities that take other children a little bit if difficult to attain, watch out! You may have a genius on your hands. ## 2. Memory like a Sharp Knife. Babies have memories? Shockingly yes. And most shocking is the exceptional memories exhibited by some kids. And if your kid has an exceptional memory, he is definitely on his way to exceptional genius. By exceptional memory I do mean memorizing of calculus and algebra and things that even some teachers do not understand, that's a little bit far fetched although it is possible. But a child can remember where he last left his toy or even have an innate timings of when he is supposed to have his meals. When your child remembers things so precisely and consciously, there is a genius on the way. ## 3. Impeccable Language Connection Intelligent kids will always have a predilection for language structures and are able to understand and even compose language for themselves within a few months. This should not be surprising to you if your kid exhibits this trait, he or she is just simply gifted. And you had a kid like this, I would advise you to buy him or her a dictionary, and let them blow your mind into awe with their awesome language acuity. ## 4. No one focuses better Have you ever tried telling your child a story or acting out a humorous drama in front of your kid and instead of laughing or looking around, he or she simply just fixates on you without turning to look left or right. That's nothing to be scared of, your kid is simply a exhibiting a high ability to focus and absorb information. This is one of the most definitive trait of a genius kid because most kids and even adults find it difficult to concentrate. So if your kid is one who give you this unwavering stare or blanks out in empty space occasionally, don't fret. He or she is just simply amazing. ## 5. Freedom of Imagination Highly intelligent kids are very imaginative and when your child's imaginations gets really vivid started a very young age, you may have a genius on your hands. Does your child speak of space and other planets and paints things that your own mind may not even comprehend? Or does he or she asks curious questions that tend to prick the imaginative part of you? Such are signs that indicates that your child might be unlike the others and you may have another davinci on your hands. ## 6. Sleepless, most of the time. An intelligent baby's mind is like a working clock, it is always trying to absorb information and this in turn might result in him or her having little or less sleep. This is not the same thing as the lack of sleep caused by restlessness because in this case, your baby is not crying and yet is not sleeping when he or she is supposed to. Although this might bother you, it is still an indication of how brilliant your baby is. Soothing bed time stories and lullabies could help put your child to sleep even though it is more tougher than when it involves regular babies but hey! Your child is still a wonder, right? However, there are still many other factors other than. The ones listed here and even if a child may exhibit all these traits, he or she still needs the guidance of his or her loving parents to develop their amazing qualities and put them into good use. If you have observed any of such qualities in your child as well, please feel free to share. I am sure the world would like to hear your own story. |
