What ran on your mind when thinking of a good response? I'm not a sarcastic kinda guy but you read and let me know what you think about this. I've been to more than 5 countries, and currently in the Philippines.\n\nThe difference between sarcasm and irony is that sarcasm intends to hurt someone, that’s why it is called what it is. But what if you don’t really want to hurt someone, you use sarcasm as an easier (less offensive) resort than to tell someone how ignorant them or their questions really are.\nExample: I am an African, and being one that lives overseas we get asked a lot in conversations the question ‘wow, so how did you get here from Africa?’\n                                                                           \nAnd often is the question asked with an innocent look or, from some, a smile to hide the heavier intent driven by ignorance.\nAs africans we know this, we see this. All humans are psychologically wired the same, but the hard life in Africa (at least in some parts) has given the African a remarkable ability of being so instinctive and considerate of what others think, feel, act and say. I mean it’s a good thing right? But while this makes it easier to live with a black person, it also makes it hard to hide one’s true feelings behind words and action, we can almost always read what’s behind the veil. Point is we know exactly what and why one says something though the words may be are carefully ironed, folded, and put tenderly into the closet of conversation. And we also know how our responses will influence your thinking and feeling, not to be assuming, but again because we are all wired the same.\nNow back to the above question, how would an African answer the awkward question ‘so how did you get here from Africa’? \nHere’s a black man’s choice of best answers;\n\nA} ‘Umm..I took a flight, honestly that’s a foolish question.’ (Good answer, but kills the self-esteem of the one asking.)\n\nB} ‘What kind of a question is that?’ (Genuine response, a few times triggered by anger, but we’re just trying to find reason.)\n\nC} ‘So you mean all your life you’ve known about Asia, America, Europe and maybe Australia but just chose to believe everything movies/the media says about Africa? That’s pretty ignorant. (Painful answer)\n\nD} I swam through the Indian Ocean, immigration had to wait 14hrs for my passport to dry up. (Sarcastic, but makes them think and realise the nature of their question. To me the best answer, and even if it hurts at least it gets you thinking so that you do your research and present a much wiser conversation next time.)\n\nThe question you may be asking is, why not just answer the question and say ‘I took a flight’? \nWell the reason is simple, you aren’t speaking to a typical person here. An african considers more the intent of the question than he does the question itself. And yap, the question is deeper than you really think. Ever wondered why only Africans are asked that question, not those from Asia, Europe, America or the equally mysterious Australia? \nDon’t get me wrong, we are ALL ignorant about something. But it’s much easier, and more appreciated when someone openly admits ignorance than to conceal it in a presumable question. Like if the question was ‘hey I always thought of Africa as a jungle or desert, but then again I wonder how did you get here?’ The African would NOT be offended (unless he’s an idiot) and the response would digestable too.\n\nBut see the question ‘how did you get here’ is like a zip folder, you got to extract the content. \nWhat the question really is is this; ‘there’s no airport, let alone an aeroplane in Africa, how on earth did you really make it to our country??’ OR \n‘Are there like buildings and airports in Africa... like with computers and networks for air-traffic controllers to operate and communicate? How do jungle dwellers like you guys get to know how to fly airplanes or even climb one?’ All these curiosities are piled and compressed into one simple question, ‘so how did you get here from Africa?’\n\nWe may not agree on all points, but thanks for reading either way.",

      "body": "The answer obviously is unfavourable especially if you’re of this love crazed 21st Century homosapiens (there are animals like Beavers that actually start finding love at the right age and they stick to that one partner fo life 😉).\nSo here’s the unanimous theological truth: In the bible is was no boyfriend or girlfriend... There is no courtship mentioned in the bible. Or anything if the likes. Say what you want about the ‘outdated’ old book, but it sure has a lot of examples of how folks go married that may be a good lesson for any believer out there.\n\nOne thing for sure is that Christians are double standard folks. You have faith to believe in a God you cannot see. You have faith to believe that whatever university He chooses, that will be the best for you. You have faith to let go off your friend and believe she rests in peace in heaven. Yet she might just be dust like another animal’s carcass. You have faith to believe the fees will be paid though you cannot even see where they’l come from. But when it comes to finding ‘the one’,  you ask God to kindly step aside because you don’t want Him finding you someone that fits His criteria and not yours. So there you are, going theough all this convincing, pursuing, confusing and fighting, and calling love blind while it’s just us who are blind.\n\nExodus 14:14 says ‘The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.’\n\n A lot of times why we get hurt in a relationship/love that ends nowhere is because we worked to hard to love that person or to get their approval. They also fought so hard to have you even though you were rejecting them a lot. Perhaps you were unsure if they were serious. If we let GOD rule our lives, we don’t have to fight feelings and work a lot to have anyone. GOD gave Eve to Adam because HE knew they needed each other. He led Abraham’s servant to bring Rebecca to her Godly man. He gave Jacob to Mary, and guess what? \nNon of these relationships started with dating.\nNon started with scandal, or uncertainties, or fights, or arguments or seenzones (if we’re to put in in modern say style), or ‘lets give us a break’ and ‘how do I know you aren’t just like one of those guys?’ Or ‘does she really value this....’ or ‘what are we?’ Or or or or I can go on and on.\n\nIt was God fighting for the biblical figures majority of the time and they need not apply much effort to pursue the opposite sex.       "body": "Hello friends! So recently I saw a scenario that became very saddening towards the end. A man who is highly esteemed in society and had good wealth was filled with  horror when he found out he had 6 months left to spend with his wife. This post will introduce the scenario:\n\nSheena and Carly had been together for 20 years. This was 1950 when Carly learnt that his wife had contracted cancer and the doctors had nothing to do about it. They found out too late when the pelvic cancer had spread beyond treatment. It was only then, that the couple remembered what they had been through since the early years of marriage. How they had labored and acquired wealth at one point of time, then to lose it all in a time of war and slavery. Mutual feeling?\n\nWhen you’re in a  queue in the supermarket, especially on salary week, you sometimes wish you were some kind of “ambulance” to move straight past the queue and confidently slam the counter with your groceries.\n\nWhile this is impossible, the only option one could turn to is looking for a place with a faster moving queue. What smart ways can you figure to avoid getting into a queue that’s moving slower than a morning traffic?\n\nSometimes you aren’t really buying anything, like myself today, you just went into the supermarket and a little box of tea-leaf is all you got. Increase your patience? No! Why not increase your ability to choose (or predict) the faster queue in the supermarket? I have been observing for sime time and realised that there are a few things you can consider before choosing a queue wisely:  \n\n1) Know the demographics of your queue! If it comprises mostly young people , then likely they have little to buy and they don’t have companions who are still outside the line trying to get more stuff. Those wearing uniform indicate that they’re just stopping by the market before going to (or from) work or school. They never really intended to stop by the market, so likely they’re in a hurry too. \n\n2) Check the cashier, you can easily tell of their speed by their movements. This a good thing to check as sometimes the queue is just unnecessarily long. Perhaps a new employee? However, I usually don’t consider this that much, epecially if the cashier is pretty pretty. The customers who use credit cards on the counter will take thrice the time unlike those who pay cash! (That is at least in the coutries I’ve lived in). Credit card means that right after swapping there has to be confirmation from the bank inf your credit worthy, if yes then a response will come quickly through the server (that is if the network is strong) AND THEN you have to sign a receipt and put your contact details. \nYou got to look at the people in your lane and guess who isn’t the credit card type of person. Make the best of your God given intuition.\n\n4) Take a look at what kind of queue your in. Some shorter lanes are short because they are priority lanes  while others are for payment options, example are those labeled ‘lame’, ‘senior citizens’ or ‘courtesy lane’, ‘credit card holders’,  ‘buskets only’, etcetera. Don’t go shopping in the evenings when people have been released from their work or schooling. They all want to drop by before getting home! These are basically peak hours.
