      "body": "# <p><center> De la Teoría de Lemarck al descubrimiento del código genético </center> </p>\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><div class=\"pull-right\">https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a5/Jean-Baptiste_de_Lamarck.jpg</div> Al escuchar sobre teorías evolutivas y sistemas de desarrollo biológicos, es inevitable relacionar el tema con Darwin, sin embargo no fue este el primero en postular una teoría que definiera el proceso mediante el cual la vida, generaba nuevas versiones de si misma Los biólogos incapaces de definir nuestro objeto de estudio \"La vida\" hemos optado por entender los procesos y fenómenos de los organismos vivos , antes que la vida en si misma.</div>\n\n # \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">El descubrimiento del código genético, las moléculas de ácidos nucleicos y algunos postulados de la herencia Mendeliana, llevaron a los investigadores del siglo pasado a comprobar las teorías que a primera vista padecían de grande incógnitas sin resolver, el misterio de como llegamos a lo que somo hoy, la evolución es un proceso complejo, sin embargo es posible explicarlo con algunos postulados simples. En este post espero poder esclarecer algunas de las dudas que generan las teorias evolutiva y generar nuevos paradigmas que permitan seguir haciendo preguntas sobre este y otros temas relacionados. </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Primero debemos partir de la base que toda la vida comprende el mismo lenguaje básico, todos  los seres vivos (excepto raras excepciones como algunos <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virus\"><strong> virus</strong></a>) heredan y reciben las instrucciones que los definen tanto <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genotipo\"><strong> genotípicamente</strong></a> , así como   <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenotipo\"><strong> fenotípicamente</strong></a> de la misma manera, a través del ADN. Este lenguaje esta limitado a 4 \"letras\" de su propio alfabeto por así decirlo, A, T, C y G, son las letras con las que se construye este lenguaje, sin embargo la combinación de estas produce todas las proteínas que un ser vivo necesita para realizar todos los procesos bioquímicos que lo mantiene, le permiten desarrollarse e incluso reproducirse.  </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">La otra base de la cual debemos partir es que no todo el ADN codifica proteínas, es mas la mayoría del genoma de un organismo no codifica ningún gen, por ejemplo, cuando se planifico el proyecto del genoma humano, se estimaba que los seres humanos teníamos unos  100mil genes, en relación al numero de proteína presentes en el ser humano, sin embargo al terminar el proyecto, se llego a la conclusión que le genoma humano tenia apenas unos 20 a 25mil, un numero bastante menor al esperado, la gran pregunta era entonces, como con solo 1/4 de los genes esperados, se podía tener una variedad tan amplia de proteína.</div>\n\n # \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"> La respuesta fue propuesta muchos años antes de <a href= \"http://www.rebelion.org/docs/81666.pdf\"><strong> El Origen de la Especies</strong></a>, Lemarck no solo enuncio la primera teoría de la evolución, sino también propuso que habían factores externos a la herencia, que también definían las características de un organismo y posteriormente por el efecto de la selección natural, daba origen a nuevas versiones de los organismo cada vez mas complejos. no fue hasta este siglo que se logro conocer mas o menos a fondo la función de ese ADN no codificante. Asi nació la Epigenética, una ciencia antes de los genes.  </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epigen%C3%A9tica\"><strong>La epigenética</strong></a> con ayuda de la biología molecular logro debelar el verdadero papel del ADN no codificante y sentó las bases para entender como esos segmentos de ADN que en si mismo no son genes según <a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogma_central_de_la_biolog%C3%ADa_molecular\"><strong> el dogma central de la biologia molecular</strong></a> logran influenciar el fenotipo, son susceptibles al efecto del ambiente y ademas son factores heredables. Eso supuso el entendimiento de lo que hasta ese momento se consideraba <a href= \"https://www.allaboutscience.org/spanish/adn-basura.htm\"><strong>ADN \"basura\"</strong></a>. Lo que en el pasado fue solo un reflejo de nuestro pasado primitivo, ahora tomaba un papel importante tanto en el desarrollo de un organismo, como en su evolución. </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Factores como <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metilaci%C3%B3n_del_ADN\"><strong>la metilación del ADN</strong></a>, <a href= \"https://www.news-medical.net/life-sciences/Histone-Modification-(Spanish).aspx\"><strong>la modificaciones postraduccionales de histonas</strong></a> y <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARN_no_codificante\"><strong> los ARN no codificantes</strong></a>, son hoy algunas de la principales lineas de investigación que podrían resolver importantes incógnitas tanto en la ciencias biológicas como en las ciencias médicas, estudio de modificaciones de histonas y su relación con el cáncer llenan ya un importante numero de artículos científicos a la vanguardia en el tratamiento y comprensión mas profunda de la enfermedad. Por otro lado estudio de RNA no codificantes y su relación con padecimiento psiquiátricos son también temas de discusión en las principales revistas científicas en el mundo.  </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Finalmente ¿cuál es el impacto de estos descubrimientos en nuestro estilo de vida?, ¿son mayores son beneficios que las desventajas?, ¿somos realmente capaces de controlar estos descubrimiento?, ¿que nos depara el uso de estas nuevas tecnologías?, son solo algunas incógnitas que dejan estos descubrimientos que generan mas preguntas que respuesta, si bien la ciencia en si misma es imparcial y siempre beneficiosa, es la tecnica, osea como hacemos uso de estos descubrimientos lo que convierte estos maravillosos descubrimientos en temas de conversaciones sobre la etica y la posibilidad de su uso en perjuicio de la vida, la humanidad y nuestra civilización.\nDime ¿Que piensas del uso de las ciencias biológicas y la biotecnología en relación con los principios etícos, que algunas veces priman menos que los netamente científicos </div>",

      "body": "# <center> Llos postulados de Mendel y la Leyenda de los Cangrejos Samurai.</center>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">En el mundo de la genética es de todos conocidos los postulados que a través de sus estudios con chicharos desarrollo  <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_Mendel\"><strong>Gregor Mendel</strong></a>, sin duda alguna los primeros pasos en un ciencia que cambiaria al mundo, aun con los precarios experimentos que realizo Mendel, fue posible describir las primeras leyes de la herencia, la propuesta de los genes como los factores que permiten la transferencia de características entre generaciones, asi como los primeros principios que definirían los estudios de la genética clásica: <a href= \"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyes_de_Mendel\"><strong> uniformidad, segregación y combinación independiente</strong></a> </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Estos conocimientos no solo explicaron como se transfieren características entre generaciones, sino que también indirectamente ayudaron a entender la selección artificial, pues el mismo Mendel a hacer sus cruces entre chicharos, logro de manera artificial transferir características especificas a las siguientes generaciones, lo que también podría llamarse domesticación en el caso de algunas plantas y animales, este conocimiento tiene raíces en el origen mismo de la civilización, aunque no fue sino hasta el renacimiento de los escritos de Mendel, que se logro entender de una manera mas científica y no fue sino hasta la era de la biología molecular que se logro comprobar casi totalmente.</div> \n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"> <div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/45/Heikea_japonica.jpg\"/><center>Heikengani Autor:<a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utagawa_Kuniyoshi\"><strong> Utagawa Kuniyoshi</strong></a></center></div>Si bien estos primeros estudios apoyaron algunas teorías y refutaron otras muy aceptadas en la época, a la luz de este genio existieron otros que antes y después de él, fortalecieron las bases de la genética y por consiguiente también las de la evolución, una historia maravillosamente falsa, aunque con un riqueza cultural invaluable, es la de los cangrejos <a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heikeopsis_japonica\"><strong> <i>Heikeopsis japonica</i></strong></a>.  La cual incluso el famoso astrofísico <a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Sagan\"><strong> Carl Sagan</strong></a> en su serie Cosmos de los años 80´s relato y utilizo como base  para explicar la teoría de la selección artificial, un homologo humano para el trabajo de la naturaleza, si bien la mitología japones explica porque los cangrejos llevan en sus espaldas los rostros de samurais enfurecidos, la ciencia es un poco menos romántica.</div>\n\n #\n\n <div class=\"text-justify\">En la épica japonesa, la abuela de emperador del clan de los Heike, consternada por la inminente derrota de su familia se arrojo junto a su nieto a las profundidades del océano al darse cuenta que la batalla que libraron esta perdida, los sumarais, los valientes guerreros escolta y ejercito del rey infante, inevitablemente corren con la misma suerte, sin embargo su honor y su leyenda quedaría para siempre en la memoria y en los exoesqueletos de los cangrejos del sur de Japón. Según esta leyenda los pescadores al encontrar en sus redes cangrejos con rostros de samurai, los devuelven al agua, como una señal de respeto a los nobles guerreros, lo que con el tiempo llevo a una forma de selección  artificial involuntaria, sin duda alguna un explicación bastante lógica, aunque un poco apartada de la verdad. </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><div class=\"pull-left\"><img src=\"https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2e/T.H.Huxley%28Woodburytype%29.jpg\"><center>Thomas H. Huxley</center></div>Si bien poseer ciertas características pueden ayudar a un organismo en su sobrevivencia y en este caso el poseer facciones aparentemente humanas en el exoesqueleto de los crustáceos debía ayudarlos por el respeto a los guerreros que tienen los pescadores japoneses, es también verdad que no solo los cangrejos heike poseen extraños patrones en sus lomos con figuras que se asemejan a un rostro humano, el científico Joel W. Martin en su publicación de 1993 <a href=\"https://decapoda.nhm.org/pdfs/3729/3729-001.pdf\"><strong>\"The Samurai Crab\"</strong></a> (El cangrejo samurai) en la revista Terra, intento explicar con bases en la evolución y la paleontología el porque de los extraños \"rostros\" en los lomos de los cangrejos Heike, la respuesta es bastante diferente a la que no solo Sagan sino su antecesor en la teoría de los cangrejos samurai el biologo darwinista <a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Henry_Huxley\"><strong>Thomas Henry Huxley</strong></a>  habían propuesto para explicar el extraño fenómeno </div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">En primer lugar el hecho que existan mas de un tipo de cangrejo con aparentes rostros humanos en sus lomos, muchos de ellos a varios cientos de kilómetros de los pescadores japoneses, dificulta la veracidad de la teoría de Huxley/Sagan, de ser cierto solo la selección artificial podría explicar los patrones en los exoesqueletos de los crustáceos. Como segundo punto, existen fósiles de parientes de los cangrejos heike que poseen patrones similares, esto ayuda a sustentar que no fue la selección artificial sino la evolución lo que llevo a los magníficos patrones en los lomos de los cangrejos, esto debido a que obviamente cuando los antepasados de estos estaban vivos, no existia el ser humano, ni había leyenda que respetar. Sumado a ello, varios anatomistas han explicado que los patrones en los cangrejos se debe a las hendiduras donde los músculos del crustáceo se unen a las articulaciones, y que debido a su simetría, aparentan un rostro humano.</div>\n\n #\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\"> <div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/Dorippe_sinica_-_National_Museum_of_Nature_and_Science%2C_Tokyo_-_DSC07556.JPG\"><center><i>Dorippe sinica</i></center></div>Otro cangrejos como: <a href=\"https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradorippe_granulata\"><strong><i>Paradorippe granulata</i></strong></a>, <a href=\"https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorippe_sinica\"><strong><i>Dorippe sinica</i></strong></a> y <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corystes\"><strong><i>Corystes cassivelaunus</i></strong></a> poseen también patrones similares a los de los cangrejos heike, lo que refuerza la teoría de Martin, que fue la evolución por medio de la selección natural y no la artificial la que genero los patrones en los cangrejos, dejando el caso de los cangrejos samurai como un mero caso de <a href=\"https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia\"><strong> pareidolia</strong></a>.</div>\n\n # \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Esta es una evidencia de como antiguos paradigmas pueden ser rotos, generando nuevas teorías y fascinantes investigaciones que intenten explicar el porque de las cosas, mas allá de las leyenda popular o de teorías vagas, aunque a veces con un sustento científicos aceptable. El tema de los cangrejos samurai siempre fue una historia magnifica, todas la teorías desde la menos científica hasta la mas científica logró explicar en su época el porque de este fenómeno tan inusual.
