bodyI've been runnin' I've been runnin' away from you. I've been runnin' towards something new. Cause all my life I've been waiting for someone like you to come along. But I'm so scared. So scared of what's to come. But now I don't know what to do... Even though I'm so in love with you. I'm gonna hit the road again. Drive as far away from you as I can. Your love is such a sin. Once you've fallen... Can't get out until it hurts too much. I don't want to hurt that much again. Can you feel it? Can you feel it too? Oh the way that I've been feeling about you? Because now I don't know what to do. Even though I'm so in love with you. I'm gonna hit the road again. Drive as far away from you as I can. Your love is such a sin. Once you've fallen... Can't get out until it hurts too much. I don't want to hurt that much again. And now.... Now I know what to do. Let's hit the road again. Drive as far away from here as we can. This love it ain't no sin. Cause since we've fallen in... no, no We can work it out. And when it hurts too much, Baby, I know we can make it in the end.

bodyGood Morning to anyone bored enough with their own life that they felt the desire to bore themselves further with mine. Cheers to you, I'm enjoying the first too-hot-for-my-mouth sips of my first cup of coffee today. I suppose it's sort of an odd day for me. I went to bed around 3am last night and woke up at around 5:45am... the only thing remarkable about this is that I couldn't go back to sleep. Lately I've been feeling convicted to stay away from social media... I've been feeling poorly about the lack of things I accomplish for myself (personal goals, I mean). I'm disappointed in my lack of drive to learn and achieve for my personal enjoyment. I have recently given my daughter a cell phone and watching her and the way her friends interact (or rather, don't) with each other, I have been wondering about the obvious. We all know technology has come so far but the access to social media (and the way social media allows us to interact with one another) is stunting the growth of our kids emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Anyway, these observations have been heavy on my mind lately... A few days ago I decided that I would soak in all the social media I could for a few days and then cut ties slowly... the fact that I even refer to it like this solidifies for me that it's an addiction. I started by removing the Facebook icon from my home screen. In doing this, I would be less likely to check it constantly because I wouldn't be able to see the notifications on the icon. After just one day of this, I was convinced I was doing the right thing. I found myself doing more around my house, partaking in new activities... I was suddenly having all kinds of ideas about how I could spend my free time. So when I woke up in the middle of the night last night, I decided to check the Facebooks and there was a notification from my boyfriend, who is rarely on social media. He tagged me in a video and said that my daughter and I should watch it together. It was a man talking about how social media and technology has come to a point where it has created addictions in the millennial generation. He talked about the things that I've been feeling guilty about for a few weeks now. It was saddening to me. I felt very heavy watching it. And I suppose that's why I couldn't go back to sleep. It moved me. So I decided to get up and do the things that I might not have otherwise accomplished today. I got out of bed at 6:00 a.m. and so far today I have: - booked a hotel room for the first real vacation I've taken in 12 years. - gone to the MVD to take care of small license thing - gone to the grocery store -cleaned up my kitchen (again after I cleaned it yesterday because my daughter is having a sleepover so of course the kitchen is a wreck. - written a journal entry - written this - taken my dog on a walk - read the news Still on my to-do list: - squats - shower - visit the boyfriend before work - work - finish reading a book I'm almost done with - work on my novel I think that today so far has been productive. I feel much more positive today than I did a few days ago. I think a lot of that is from putting my phone down and experiencing the world around me. I want to make other moves too like stop taking my phone with me everywhere I go in my house. I might make house rules for me and the kiddo like: once you're home, your phone sits on the kitchen counter and doesn't leave. The only reason you're allowed to go to it is if you get a text message/phone call. I think maybe I'll allow us both some time for social media but I want the dependence on it to go away. I also talked to my daughter about us spending an hour 3x a week playing volleyball together. I want her to be proud of some accomplishments that she makes. That is missing from young kids lives. ALL of her friends, ALL of them, I don't know one of them that does an extracurricular activity. Partially I think that is due to the cost of those activities.... that's why I don't have my daughter in one... But at any rate. I want that to stop. I really would like to homeschool my kid but I don't know... Perhaps I could during junior high? She would think I was crazy. haha It's definitely tempting. Anyway, I'm off. I am going to see if her and her friend want to go to the park and play volleyball for an hour before I get ready. Peace and Love.

\n\nA few days ago I decided that I would soak in all the social media I could for a few days and then cut ties slowly... the fact that I even refer to it like this solidifies for me that it's an addiction. \n\nSo when I woke up in the middle of the night last night, I decided to check the Facebooks and there was a notification from my boyfriend, who is rarely on social media. \n\nI got out of bed at 6:00 a.m. and so far today I have:\n- booked a hotel room for the first real vacation I've taken in 12 years. \n- gone to the MVD to take care of small license thing\n- gone to the grocery store\n-cleaned up my kitchen (again after I cleaned it yesterday because my daughter is having a sleepover so of course the kitchen is a wreck.\n- written a journal entry\n- written this\n- taken my dog on a walk\n- read the news \n\nStill on my to-do list:\n- squats \n- shower\n- visit the boyfriend before work \n- work \n- finish reading a book I'm almost done with\n- work on my novel\n\nI think that today so far has been productive. I feel much more positive today than I did a few days ago. I think a lot of that is from putting my phone down and experiencing the world around me. \n\nI want to make other moves too like stop taking my phone with me everywhere I go in my house. I might make house rules for me and the kiddo like: once you're home, your phone sits on the kitchen counter and doesn't leave. The only reason you're allowed to go to it is if you get a text message/phone call. I think maybe I'll allow us both some time for social media but I want the dependence on it to go away. \nI also talked to my daughter about us spending an hour 3x a week playing volleyball together. \n\nI really would like to homeschool my kid but I don't know... Perhaps I could during junior high? She would think I was crazy. haha It's definitely tempting. \n\nAnyway, I'm off. I am going to see if her and her friend want to go to the park and play volleyball for an hour before I get ready. \n\nPeace and Love.",

I'm sure there are many of us who DO NOT know what is going on and just feign knowledge because we can see that this is a hot button topic that has too much religious and government involvement to sift through. Let's start off with the infamous joke about Gary Johnson and his famed "What is Aleppo?" comment.... Which, I really don't hold against him. I hadn't heard about Aleppo much before him. I think a large reason why Aleppo became a popular topic is actually because Gary didn't know what it was! I mean, any excuse to make a presidential candidate look like a complete fool and the American public/media jumps all over it... "Oh, he didn't know what Aleppo was?! Oh, what an idiot!" Well.... I have only met in real life, ONE living, breathing person who knew what Aleppo was.... and he was a liberal progressive who follows politics very closely and I'm sure that the second he heard Johnson being questioned, he looked it up immediately and made sure he was well versed on the topic... ( Austin if you're reading this, I love you.) At any rate... It's important to understand the logistics of current events. When you have FOX News or CNN playing on your TV all day, you aren't able to form opinions for yourself because you aren't exactly given "facts" but rather "events" and those events are shrouded in words that create confusion like "ISIS", "Hezbollah", "Assad Regime", and "Sunni-Muslims", "bombings", "terrorism", and "rebel forces"... This is done for a reason because the media doesn't want people to have any kind of realistic perception of current events in the world. It works like a charm too because when a person hears the news, they hear these words and they lump them together in a file in their brain under "Middle East" or "Muslims" or "Islam" and immediately this translates into a pile of assumptions based on misunderstandings. Perhaps a vocabulary sheet would be helpful... maybe I should put that together: a vocab sheet that gives you a description of all the terms you hear in the news every day referencing religions and cultures you know next to nothing about. To be clear: This is not for people who do their due diligence and research, read, and explore topics on their own. This topic obviously goes much deeper than I attempted to go in this article. There are other news sources to get information from (I don't even want to touch the "fake news" stuff yet... maybe that will be my next article). There are better articles out there. There is much I did not include here. This isn't meant to be a groundbreaking piece... I just wrote this with specific people in mind... the person at work or the family member at Christmas dinner or the friend who asked me over drinks... "What is Aleppo?" Aleppo is a city located in the Northern region of Syria. It is one of the oldest cities in the world with a rich history that ranges from being a trading post on The Silk Road to being referenced in Shakespeare. It is located near Iraq (in the past, Mesopotamia), next to the Mediterranean Sea. In 2004 a census revealed that over 2 million people inhabited Aleppo ( If you need an idea of how large a city that is, think like, Houston, Texas). It had been (until recently) a mainstay in Syrian trade and industry with Turkey, Iraq, and Jordan, among other nations. Tourists would travel to Aleppo to visit Souk, the city's medieval marketplace. Filled with families who had lived on the same street for generations, this city was an almost untouched cultural hub in the Middle East - certainly a place that any world traveler might put near the top of places they would like to visit. Images of Aleppo are breathtaking. The city seemed to sparkle with a mystical, hypnotic energy. Now the images are grey, dust hangs thick in the air, and the beautifully sculpted buildings are pockmarked with holes. So, what happened to it? 1. In 2011, "Arab Spring" (a movement against certain countries governments in the Middle East due to lack of freedoms and general economic woes of the people) removed Tunisian and Egyptian presidents from power. These revolts gave hope to certain Syrian groups who were interested in the same governmental coups. 2. In March of 2011, a group of Syrian teenagers used graffiti to make public their support of the "Arab Spring" revolts and the boys were captured by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces. One of the boys was brutally tortured and killed, as an example to the rebels. He was only 13 years old. 3. Rebels protested the boy's death (in a place where people are not allowed to gather in groups greater than 5, so that protests are non-existent) and Bashar responded by killing hundreds of protesters and imprisoning many others. 4. In July of 2011, the Free Syrian Army (a group of former Syrian military personnel) announced its formation and hopes for dismantling and overthrowing the "Assad Regime". Thus began the messy and inglorious civil war in Syria. Rebel groups made up of the Free Syrian Army, fighters from Turkey, Quatar, Saudi Arabia, support from ISIS and ISIL (Islamic State or Iraq and Levant) and others began to move into Syrian cities, villages, and towns in attempts to oust the government. The "Assad Regime" (often referred to as just "the government") receives support from a majority of the minority religious groups, including area Christians, majority-shia Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Hezbollah, Iranian fighters, and Afghan fighters. Probably the most notable of the Assad Regime's support system is Russia, who has been involved in assisting the government maintain control of Syria. Here is where Aleppo comes in. Aleppo was the largest city in Syria. It remained generally removed from the turmoil until July of 2012 when the opposition forces finally made their way to the city. The fighting that erupted resulted in the harsh divide of the city to East Aleppo and West Aleppo (Berlin wall, anybody?). E.Aleppo was controlled by the rebels and W.Aleppo, controlled by the government. Due to the population size and importance of the city of Aleppo (despite it not being the capital of Syria), the government decided it would not lose this city and it launched a very destructive attack on the Eastern part of the city. Russian and Syrian warplanes have bombed E.Aleppo incessantly. The rebels have launched homemade bombs and mortars into W.Aleppo. The rebels fear that they face being treated like "terrorists" if they are captured by the Assad Regime. There are reports of extrajudicial killings by the government. The rebel forces, activists, humanitarians supporting the wounded, hungry, and homeless fear death if they remain in the rebel-controlled areas due to bombing and fighting. They fear death if they flee into government controlled areas. When rebels are able to speak to outside reporters they express great distrust in the government in regards to their futures. Many rebels took to social media to give their last goodbyes during bombings last month... many of them have not been heard from since. Civilians in the rebel-controlled areas do not want to go into government-controlled lands because they've been threatened with prison and torture for protesting the government, providing medical care to rebels, and speaking to foreign journalists despite promises from government officials that they will not be treated as terrorists. These attacks (along with the resistance of the rebels) has been ongoing for the last 4 1/2 years. The city was quite literally divided in two halves until the "ceasefire" was called this past December, leaving the Eastern half of Aleppo in ruins. Homes, businesses, schools, and hospitals are filled with rubble and bodies. Thousands of dead have not been identified. Many have not been identified because whole families are wiped out and no one is looking for them... Russia, just days ago, reported finding mass graves now that they are able to sift through the remains of E.Aleppo. Bombing continued through early December due to an offensive attack the Syrian Army launched on E.Aleppo on November 26th. By December 13th, the government claimed they had 98% of E. Aleppo under control. It is estimated that around 500,000 people lost their lives in the fight for Aleppo. That's close to a quarter of the population of the city. Think back to Houston, Texas. Imagine 500,000 of Houston's inhabitants obliterated. At first the ceasefire seemed too good to be true because bombings continued after the ceasefire was called. It eventually calmed while officials talked. Finally, rebel forces, activists, supporters, and civilians were able to exit the fallen Eastern portion of Aleppo and escape to safer rebel-held lands (because remember, they don't want to go to the government-held area so they have to actually evacuate the city). On December 16th, the evacuation was halted for an unknown reason with only 8000 people able to leave the city. At that time it was estimated that somewhere between 50,000 - 100,000 people remained in the ravaged E.Aleppo. As of a few days ago, the last of the Aleppo rebels were able to exit the city. There is continued bombing and fighting on the outskirts of the city as there are rebels trapped there while they continue to try to flee city limits and escape the Assad Regime. The rebels and civilians have descended largely upon a rebel-held city, Idlib. The residents of Idlib are fighting to provide medical care, shelter, and food to the thousands of refugees from Aleppo that are suffering from malnutrition, hypothermia, and infected wounds. Idlib now being the greatest population of rebels, it is the likely target for the Assad Regime's next offensive attack. Fighting in Aleppo seems to have ceased but the Syrian Civil War continues. There will be more cities destroyed by this war; more lives lost. The respite for these refugees is likely only temporary. The point of this is not for you to choose a side. Choosing sides is unrealistic and schismatic as the fighting here is many generations deep and pertains to religious and political factions that many of us do not identify with. This specific civil war can be traced back to the beginning of Bashar al-Assad's father's reign, Hafez al-Assad, who became President in 1971 (and further). He instituted a new Syrian Constitution which did not require the Syrian President to be Muslim, which infuriated the Muslim Brotherhood organization and began many years of attempted uprising during HIS presidency. To be sure, this is not a conflict that can be resolved easily. There are many factions involved. Even the rebel forces have issues being united as there are many different religions and groups represented among the rebel forces. The Assad Regime has managed to survive many years of conflict and will probably continue to do so. One question you might be asking is, where is the US in this conflict? Not that I support US involvement.... but the US seems to think everybody's business is their business... and they love to kick in everyone's front door and make sure that whatever government exists in a place, it is beneficial for them.... The short answer is that they have a very sticky non-existent role in the Syrian Civil War. The US has vocalized their opposition to the Assad Regime due to the fact that Assad has used chemical warfare on his people, prompting President Obama to make a statement that this behavior of his warranted an investigation. The US briefly trained Syrian rebels but quickly backed out of any involvement when they spent 500 MILLION dollars to train 60 Syrian rebels. However, the US has been bombing ISIS and ISIL since 2014 (groups which stand in opposition to Assad). Russia supplies military aide and advisers to Assad and recently asked the US to take a stance or offer assistance. So they attempted to help the rebels but they bomb their allies and won't openly assist Assad? As I said before... there is much more to this but in brief, perhaps you now have a better idea of what is going on in Syria.... a light bulb maybe went off and now you know why there are so many "Syrian Refugees" in Europe. Now you know what Aleppo is or was... I suppose that what is important here is the idea that "it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye". Wars, conflict, rebels, revolutions.... it's all great in theory until it's in your backyard. In Aleppo there were people, families, kids... who knew war was taking place in cities around them... but when it came to their own backyards, they weren't ready for the havoc it brought with it. I know Syria is a great distance from here... but it reminds me of how I take for granted that we haven't had a war fought on our soil for many, many years. Why don't we care more about events taking place elsewhere? Why don't we care about Syria? Is it because we don't have to see it? Is it because we don't have to experience it? Our children aren't orphaned? Our families aren't going hungry? We aren't used to hearing bombs explode and shells raining down on our roofs? We don't have our roofs blown off in the middle of the night? I'm not sure what the appropriate response here is. I can't pretend that the answers are easy. Maybe there aren't answers. Maybe we just watch from afar... the degradation of humanity, the loss of basic human decency. Or maybe we are faced with the reality that here, on the Eve of 2017, human decency just simply has not and will not ever exist. What is Aleppo? Aleppo is an example; a real-life allegory for the atrocity of war and the desire of man to control his fellow man. bodyIs it too early for Christmas music? I'm going to tell you, I am listening to "Let It Snow" by Kacey Musgraves and I have a fir tree candle burning and there isn't much missing from my life right now. I have wine, Christmas music, and tomorrow I am beginning a little project that I never finished in my old place. I suppose back story is needed. So all my life ... my favorite thing in the whole world.... BOOKS. I am a bibliophile. I love the emotions, descriptions of the human experience that are trapped in the pages.... I always want to write novels and then as I write them I feel that I wane in comparison to the greats and why should I try to do something they've already done so well? My favorite thing to do is go to the bookstore and just lose myself for hours.... picking up each book and flipping through the pages and reading their descriptions... and then I can never decide on just one so I buy 6 or 7... and I take them home and they're like these little treasures. This author, this person, experienced life to the point where he or she had to write it down... they had to explain their story to other people, share their feelings via the pages of their novels... every author writes what they know. I find such comfort in the things that other people in the world have put into words in their books.... I know I'm not alone. Occasionally they move me to tears... move me to the point where I change the way I think or say or do things... I see their characters alive in the people around me... I guess the written word provides me some great comfort in the midst of the chaos and strife of life... like there are people who have sat back and observed the same human experience that I see and feel... a bunch of empaths, empathing all over each other... When I am around books, there's this sensation... a certain peaceful melancholy that comes over me and I could just sit in reverence of the stories that surround me.... they are true works of art. Works of defiance against society and government. My god.... Anyway, I have always wanted a personal library. Ideally one day I want one of those track ladders that I could ride through my library like Belle in Beauty and the Beast.... but that's years away. I'm settling for setting up themed bookshelves on the large walls of my apartment living room. I am just going to collect a whole bunch of mismatched, odd shelves and put all my books all over them.... the classics, horror, Poe, modern, poets, juvenile fiction greats, the HP series... I want them all.... I lost so much last year. I had probably 8 or 9 boxes of books in my storage shed... I let them go. Lost them. However you want to look at it. I had started this personal library project at my old apartment. I had 5 bookshelves hung about my living room with my favorite books displayed all around me... all of them are gone. But starting over is going to be the best part.

bodyI have been toying with writing a statement about the Kokshian drama that popped off this week.... I have actually written two full articles about it all and then deleted them both. I feel this annoyance with the whole thing. Like, it is a huge waste of my time to comment on the actions of a sociopath. It's a huge waste of my time to care what he does or what people think about him for 2 reasons: 1. He is not going to change who he is because of my opinion of him. He can't. He is internally wired to believe that he is the shit and that his shit is holy. 2. People who support him are just as stubborn about their fandom and view my opinion as that of the enemy anyway. And what do I care what any of those people do, on top of that? I have enough to worry about in my own life and I don't need Adam Kokesh to steal any more of my time whether it be from my family, my jobs, my thoughts, emotions, or my wine time. And really, that's my biggest regret in all of this... I stopped drinking wine regularly because I was working too hard on his tour so he could sleep. Well, no more. *sips very full wine glass*.

bodyI definitely relate to having a variety of topics I want to talk about. My useless degrees are in Semiotics which enriches my life and Interior Design which was intended to be vocational but my timing was not ideal. Also, the program was ivory tower so I gained skills I didn't even want. I'd intended more of a design/build approach. In any case, Welcome to Steemit! I think you'll find the conversation here far far superior to that on facebook, and without so much nastiness. In fact, I expect you'll fit in well here. Steem on!

bodyI guess this my first "story". I have a few topics I want to talk about and they all compete for equal space in my mind as I explore the varying questions, conversations, and ideas that each topic begins to wake. I want to talk about Purist Anarchists and the detriment I feel that Purism has on the entire movement. I want to talk about dating in the Anarchy/Lib pool... what a joke! I want to talk about the general disposition of the men and women who are Anarchists/Libertarians.... I want to talk about when it's okay to shoot a cop... I want to talk about who the police really are. I want to talk about Christianity and Anarchy. Christianity inside of Anarchy... I want to talk about The Walking Dead. I want to talk about where we go from here... I suppose I'll start with an intro... I grew up in a very conservative, Christian home. I attended private school until I was 15 and was a leader in my church youth group until I was 18. I did very well in school. I followed all the rules. I followed the rules because I had a great, crippling fear of what might happen to my life or people's opinions of me if I did anything other than what was expected of me. I feared my mother. I feared my principal. I feared my teachers. I feared my bosses. I feared cops. I was afraid of everything. Every choice I made until I was 24 was made because I was too afraid to think for myself. I lived a life that was picked for me by the society around me, my social circle, the expectations of my family. I went to school - to college. I "spent" a lot of money on degrees (of which I have not begun to pay off). I hated the "careers" I picked: criminal justice, education, banking, and insurance.... I was miserable. I ate junk food to feel better and gained weight at unreasonable speed. I was sick, tired, and depressed. I hated almost every aspect of my life. The only thing I did not hate was my daughter but I was so miserable with my life that I couldn't even enjoy being a mom because I wouldn't get out of bed some days. And then one day it occurred to me that this was no life I was living. There had to be another way. I used the almighty interwebs... and looked up changes I could make to my diet. That was the first piece of information that changed my life for good. I began eating "Paleo" and immediately felt 10 years younger. I was suddenly a human again. The depression went away. The ache, the pain, and the misery... it vanished (faster than the weight... Over 1.5 years, I lost 80+ pounds from changing my diet ... alone). Once I began exploring the travesties of our food industry, there was no going back. I remember quickly becoming enraged at the U.S. government for the controls that bled through into simple daily choices... like what kind of food I could purchase, how fresh I could purchase that food, and whether or not I could even GROW my OWN food... I quickly began exploring the political realm of my ever-changing beliefs and found that my fury was best identified with a group of people called Libertarians. I was a Libertarian for about 4 months when reason took control and I realized I was an Anarchist. I jokingly say that to people who say they are Libertarians.... "Oh okay. Yeah, it's only a matter of time." "What is?" ... "Your Anarchy... it's coming." Anarchy, to me, is the only reasonable solution once a person decides to take responsibility for their actions. Anarchy means to have no rulers. What do people have rulers for? Why do you need someone to tell you what is good or bad for you? Why do you need someone to tell you where you can buy something or what kind of that something you can buy (for example raw milk vs. pasteurized milk)? Why do you need someone to dictate your choices to you? How can you accept the limitations of having either THIS choice or THAT choice? Why can't you go create your own option? Why do you prefer a life limited? Why are you complacent with having your life decided for you? Why do you accept the limitation of your potential? Does it strike you as degrading that someone who you've never met in a place you maybe have never been is making decisions about what you can or can't do.... because they find you incapable of making that decision for yourself? If any of that makes you uncomfortable... you owe it to yourself to explore Libertarianism (at the least)... I choose to be in control of my life. My choices and the results of those choices are my responsibility. I am capable of deciding what actions to take in my life because I am a person who thinks critically about how those choices affect others... I do not live in a way that is harmful to other people. And if by some mistake or misjudgment, I were to cause someone harm, I am able to be accountable for that on my own, apologize, and make amends without someone telling me to do so. To be forced to live this way is disingenuous. And that is what government does: FORCES. Everything is by force. Or the threat thereof. If you don't follow rules there are laws, fines, courts, police, military, and a plethora of institutions ready to come and find you, point the giant, shiny gun of "freedom and liberty" at you and tell you that for the sake of all the "freedoms", you need to stop being free. A family member of mine became very angry with me and verbally attacked me over Facebook (because that's the real mark of mature love...), trying to warn me that I had fallen into a dangerous trap. Her argument was that anarchy was dangerous and selfish. I felt like a 6 year-old when she said that because I wanted to respond with something along the lines of "takes one to know one!" ... Government is dangerous and selfish. Government is dangerous, it has weapons and prisons... Government is selfish... it takes your money and wants to control your every move, giving it immeasurable power. Anarchy is the very opposite of that. Anarchy is about mutual respect for life and voluntary interaction with the people around you to better yourself and the person you're working alongside. More or less, anarchy seems to be peaceful and selfless. If anybody has fallen into a dangerous trap, it is those who believe the government exists to do what is best for them...

"body": "I guess this my first \"story\". \n\nI have a few topics I want to talk about and they all compete for equal space in my mind as I explore the varying questions, conversations, and ideas that each topic begins to wake. \n\nI want to talk about Purist Anarchists and the detriment I feel that Purism has on the entire movement. \nI want to talk about dating in the Anarchy/Lib pool... what a joke! \nI want to talk about the general disposition of the men and women who are Anarchists/Libertarians....\nI want to talk about when it's okay to shoot a cop...\nI want to talk about who the police really are.\nI want to talk about Christianity and Anarchy. Christianity inside of Anarchy... \nI want to talk about The Walking Dead. \nI want to talk about where we go from here... \n\nI suppose I'll start with an intro... \nI grew up in a very conservative, Christian home. \nEvery choice I made until I was 24 was made because I was too afraid to think for myself. I lived a life that was picked for me by the society around me, my social circle, the expectations of my family. I went to school - to college. I \"spent\" a lot of money on degrees (of which I have not begun to pay off). I hated the \"careers\" I picked: criminal justice, education, banking, and insurance.... \n\nAnd then one day it occurred to me that this was no life I was living. There had to be another way. I used the almighty interwebs... and looked up changes I could make to my diet. That was the first piece of information that changed my life for good. I began eating \"Paleo\" and immediately felt 10 years younger. I was suddenly a human again. The depression went away. The ache, the pain, and the misery... it vanished (faster than the weight... Over 1.5 years, I lost 80+ pounds from changing my diet ... alone). \n\nOnce I began exploring the travesties of our food industry, there was no going back. I remember quickly becoming enraged at the U.S. government for the controls that bled through into simple daily choices... like what kind of food I could purchase, how fresh I could purchase that food, and whether or not I could even GROW my OWN food...\nI quickly began exploring the political realm of my ever-changing beliefs and found that my fury was best identified with a group of people called Libertarians. \n\nI was a Libertarian for about 4 months when reason took control and I realized I was an Anarchist.
