      "body": "Mbappe, is rapidly looking to become one of the greatest soccer players ever, however, how good is he really? Is he overrated? Is he underrated? What will happen to him in the future? He is being praised as 'the greatest ever' and 'successor to Ronaldo and Messi' but upon comparing Mbappe to Ronaldo and Messi at their retrospective ages it became clear to me how good he really is.\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEmcW59Hz6M\nKylian Mbappe was born on the 20th of December 1998 in Bondy, France. He began his career at a Chelsea youth academy before moving to Monaco to begin his professional career. Just last season PSG saw talent in the youngster and signed him to play on loan with the option to buy. PSG took the opportunity, to say the least. Ever since his arrival in the French capital he has been instrumental as a finisher and also as an incredibly pacy RW. He has won one Ligue 1 trophy with PSG and a World Cup with France. Many are praising him as the best ever however upon looking at him compared to Ronaldo and Messi at the age of 19 there is no comparison. Ronaldo was dominating in Manchester United and was outskilling up to five opponents at a time. He was scoring goals just after the half line. He scored goals with his right, left and head. Ronaldo was unstoppable. Messi is even better. At nineteen with just one touch of the ball combined with his incredible pace, he would outskill seven players before coolly chipping the goalkeeper. Mbappe does not have the composure that these stars had. He produces similar moments occasionally, however, Ronaldo and Messi made these moments in every game. Playing in the EPL and La Liga at nineteen is much more competitive than playing in Ligue 1 which would have made it harder for them again. Some examples are Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique, Luka Modric and Kevin Debruyne, however, the world currently has a whole selection of incredible goalkeepers many of which are underrated names. So who are these players and why are their currently so many incredible goalkeepers playing the beautiful game? This article will address a closely contested top five goalkeepers in the world at the moment with some honourable mentions. \n\nNumber 5: Ter Stegen\nTer Stegen was born on 30th of April 1992 in Germany and currently plays for FC Barcelona.       "body": "Courtois or Navas? Who would you pick? Three years ago the answer would have been as clear as crystal however now circumstances have changed. After Real Madrid's disastrous goalkeeping situation after the departure of Iker Casillas, Navas stepped up to become the number one for Los Blancos. Looking forward from then he has three UCL wins and just recently a UEFA goalkeeper of the year award. He commands the defence and expertly denies many of the attackers which dare to challenge him from range or even from close range, however, Florentino Perez still has no faith in Keylor. Is it because he does not believe Navas is good enough to be number one for Los Blancos or is it because he feels he has unfinished business bringing in a new number one and Navas was only ever meant to be temporary? Well whatever his issue is it seems it has only escalated with Real Madrid reeling in golden glove winner Courtois to play in white however so far Navas seems to have been Julen's favourite and fans don't know why.\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUUGibgQ5o8\nNavas is an exceptional goalkeeper and excels between the sticks especially when under Zidane. Zidane believed in Navas 100% and blocked De Gea's move to Madrid. An action which not only lost Real Madrid their greatest ever coach but also their greatest player ever Cristiano Ronaldo. Now without Zidane Navas' future looked uncertain however Julen is also fiercely protective of Keylor even with Courtois also an option. After being benched for Real Madrid's clash with Roma it's safe to say Julen favours Navas. Having two world-class goalkeepers in your team will never work. Both will be hungry, both want game time and both want to be better than the other. Eventually, something will give. Julen's situation is even more precarious as his decisions could cost him his job if he does not please Perez. Courtois will also be quite sceptical of his importance if he is consistently snubbed by Julen. With Navas nearing retirement age and Courtois at his absolute prime the logical thing to do would be to hand the number one shirt to Courtois, however, Julen is refusing to do so. If Courtois hadn't made the move to Madrid I personally would have kept Navas as my number one however with Courtois here now at a prime age and Navas nearing the end of his career Courtois should receive the number one shirt. Keylor has made it exceptionally clear that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid however with Courtois inevitably going to receive the number one shirt maybe that is the best option for Keylor. Twenty-two years on and he has never looked back. with 651 career goals, the Argentine is commended by many for this incredible milestone. When he first played professionally with Barcelona he played in a CAM role which did not suit him as he consistently slipped into the RW position. After trialing him in the RW Barcelona quickly realised that this is where the child prodigy deserved to play. He loves to dribble down the right keeping the ball close to him and outpacing his opponents before cutting in and either crossing or shooting with his strong left foot. Despite his height defenders are bamboozled by his ability to flick the ball from foot to foot before they have any time to react. A true god to the beautiful game however at 31 he is nearing the end of his prime and soon someone will have to replace him. Hopefully, Barcelona has their eyes on someone who can live up to the number ten shirt which has been held onto by this legend for so long. The Portuguese superstar was born on the 5th of February 1985 in Madeira, Portugal. Cristiano played for Sporting Lisbon in their youth academy until he was signed by Manchester United under Alex Ferguson when he was just sixteen years old. After nine years of mixed feelings at Manchester United, he signed for Real Madrid at the age of twenty-five. At Real Madrid, he completely dominated winning numerous awards such as five Ballon D'ors and numerous UEFA Champions League titles. With a career total of 660 goals, Ronaldo awes all that watch him play. Against the best goalkeeper in the world, Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to keep Portugal level with Spain and some say he is finished. Regardless of his age Roanldo is still the incredible player that he was ten years ago regardless of how his play has changed. This is still evident as he has recently just signed for Juventus on a five year deal to for a fee of over 120 million EURO's. Some of his actions are more subtle and not so easily seen to the untrained eye. Ronaldo has a special advantage over Lionel Messi being that fact that he is extremely hardworking. Obviously at such an elite level no-one has got to such a stage without putting their life on the line so to speak however Ronaldo has pushed himself beyond belief. As fit as a professional twenty-year-old soccer player and he pushed himself so hard he does not have a strong or a weak foot. This gives him the advantage of either cutting in and shooting or crossing or tricking the defender, cutting left and crossing with his left foot. Ronaldo is particularly known for his signature stepovers, however, has a full arsenal of skills to use to bamboozle defenders and for his penalty taking which he has been dubbed the nickname Penaldo. Ronaldo is the sort of player that even though he now plays for Juventus when you are playing as Real Madrid in FIFA 18 you change it so Real Madrid have him.\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJvhqplekcI&t=20s\nRonaldo and Messi are the greats in football to date however with players such as Mbappe, Dembele and Asensio on the rise to become the next greats sooner or later football will say goodbye to these absolute legends. All-time top goalscorer and greatest manager gone within a few weeks of each other. To compensate Real Madrid signed Courtois from Chelsea even though Keylor Navas has led them to three UCL's out of four, got the Spain international manager fired and signed inexperienced teenagers Andriy Lunin and Vinicius JR. Ever since his signing Cristiano Ronaldo has been the talisman of Real Madrid. Not every club can say that they have the greatest player ever. For nine consistent years, Ronaldo has made Real Madrid the greatest club ever. Now as he nears retirement age he still managed to score 44 goals in 44 games last season and led them to the UCL final after scoring a last minute penalty against Juventus. Now without the greatest player in the world playing in the Santiago De Bernabeau only half the stadium was empty. If Real Madrid begin to start losing silverware without Ronaldo then they will lose sponsors, fans and players which will lead to less money for them and limit the amount of money they can spend on big names such as Hazard, Neymar and Mbappe.
