| title | How The Liberal Media Created The Phenomenon 'Trump' - A Brief Linguistic Analysis |
| body | Donald Trump’s rise to fame started before he ever decided to run for president. His muppet like antics and his inability to watch his mouth are something many stressed out, pissed off, overworked and large-dreaming Americans love. He is entertaining. Not in the way Bush was, I mean, you would not want to have a beer with the man, but you would definitely want to listen to him give a pyramid scheme type speech about how to become rich AF. And you would believe him. Because he talks like you. He doesn’t seem to have a higher IQ then you, either, which makes it very likely that you could achieve what he has achieved. And, let’s admit it. The media loves the guy. He is just so damn newsworthy. Scandals reigning as if TMZ’s editor in chief was running the show. And it isn’t just the Republican news sources that love talking about him. News sources claiming alliances to the Democratic party are as much part of the problem. How? By talking about him as much as they did and by adding certain linguistic features to their articles that are naturally going to get us thinking about his legitimacy. I mean…could he be right after all? He seems scary. Life is scary. Should I follow him? There have been many ideas and thoughts circling around claiming that the media is at fault for Trump’s rise in popularity. They have been covering his presidential campaign like it was going out of style. Like he actually had something important to contribute. But the manipulation goes much deeper. So I took it upon myself to take a closer, linguistic look at the array of news articles covering the Republican presidential campaign to see if I could find a pattern of subliminal Trump-Love coming from the liberal news sources. And, OMG, did I find it. I am sorry to say this but I am pretty sure the liberal media actually helped people cross over to the dark side. Not because they said nice things about him, but because they made him seem larger than life, like he could not be beaten. Like he was a small man with a huge force of power behind him. Up there on that pedestal with Darth Vader and Leather Face, he achieved what every entertainer…uhm, sorry… politician wants. FAME. Americans love famous people. They soak it up and bathe in it. Even liberals (Don’t lie!) So thank you, liberal media, for, rather than opposing or even distracting from Donald Trump’s bullshit campaign…you pulled out the red carpet. When linguists want to find patterns, they analyze a collection of texts. I chose ten texts from different liberal news sources including The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, CNN, and The Huffington Post. First I wanted to get a better idea of the skill level of the journalists, considering that their linguistic skill could have an influence on the word choice of the articles. I found that the overall lexical density of the texts, which is something linguists use to determine the proficiency of authors, mainly focused on their vocabulary, was about 39%. This number is very normal. It implies an average level of proficiency and is a very common result when investigating most articles put out by major news sources. So we could not blame the intellect or journalistic ability of the authors here. After that I checked out the most frequently used words. “Trump” is the only candidate, whose name appears in the top 30 most frequently used words in the articles, with “Carson” coming in second. Terrifyingly enough, however, while the Donald comes in at Nr. 4 of the most frequent freaking lexical nouns, Carson is Nr. 29. I mean, that is a huge difference. And not only does Trump’s name pop up a whole lot of times, but the words surrounding his name are absolutely terrifying: the most common verbs used in sentences regarding his presidential campaign are ‘defeat’, ‘fight’, ‘beat’, ‘oppose’ while the adjectives are usually words that imply a certain degree of status or power such as ‘large’, ‘radical’, and ‘super’. So what does that mean? Well…it means we are supposed to fear him, doesn’t it? And what do humans do when they are afraid? What are the two most common reactions? – Submission or resistance. Now if we take a look around ourselves right now. Go ahead, take a look out of the window! Do you see much resistance? Do you see people fighting their labor-slavery? No? Me neither! So I guess my point is, the liberal media needs to stop following trends. If you really want to make a difference, be as progressive as you claim, then don’t hold people back by worrying about keeping up with gossip, fear-mongering and trends. Because now he is President of the United States and I BLAME YOU, because you should have known better! |

Well…it means we are supposed to fear him, doesn’t it? And what do humans do when they are afraid? What are the two most common reactions? – Submission or resistance.\n\nNow if we take a look around ourselves right now. Go ahead, take a look out of the window! Do you see much resistance? Do you see people fighting their labor-slavery? No?\n\nMe neither!\n\nSo I guess my point is, the liberal media needs to stop following trends. If you really want to make a difference, be as progressive as you claim, then don’t hold people back by worrying about keeping up with gossip, fear-mongering and trends.\n\nBecause now he is President of the United States and I BLAME YOU, because you should have known better!",

| title | Racial Profiling, Police Brutality and African-American Activism |
| body | Current research suggests that racial profiling and police brutality are a representation of the racial inequality apparent in the United States (Holmes/Smith 2008, 4). So what exactly is racial profiling? What does it represent? The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights defines racial profiling as referring “to the targeting of particular individuals by law enforcement authorities based not on their behavior but rather their personal characteristics.” (The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights 2011, 1). This rather vague definition is extended by Robert Staples in his text White Power, Black Crime and Racial Politics, when he asserts that “[it] should be viewed instead as the systemic, historic, and lived experiences of blacks being controlled and punished by the police and a criminal justice system that exercises incredible […] bias”. He offers as a cause that a majority-white public “condones and rationalizes this treatment” (Staples 2015), meaning that racial profiling is a side-effect of the racial bias already commonplace in American society. The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights offers an interesting insight into the statistics behind this contention: In the year 2005, black drivers were twice as likely to be pulled over and arrested as white drivers. The report also states that Black and Hispanic drivers were car and body-searched at a higher rate than white drivers (The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights 2011, 9). As a counterpoint to Staples assertion that racial profiling is a side-effect of an already deeply racist society, Mathias Risse and Richard J. Zeckhauser argue that the fact that society is racially biased justifies racial profiling as merely a way for police to keep the peace, thereby neglecting to address the underlying issue as a root problem which is truly at fault for all else: “[…] police and security measures making race an important characteristic in deciding whom to stop, search, or investigate are morally justified in a broad range of cases, including many cases that tend to be controversial” (Risse, Matthias and Richard J. Zeckhauser 2003). In an attempt to counter that idea, which further extends Staples’ thesis, Annabelle Lever challenges two arguments made by Risse and Zeckhauser in particular in her text Why Racial Profiling is Hard to Justify: (1) “the harm caused by profiling per se is largely due to underlying racism" and is, therefore, purely expressive; and (2) "the incremental harm done by profiling often factors into utilitarian considerations in such a way as to support profiling.” As a counterargument to these theses, Lever claims that “the harms of racial profiling are not principally expressive; that some of the harms are quite large; and that even where the magnitude is not that great, background racism makes these additional harms harder to bear and to justify.” (Lever 2005, 95) What Risse and Zeckhauser are asking the reader to do is to take the racism out of racial profiling, which, in itself, would be racist in nature and would simply lead to justify the prejudice regarding a race, instead of actively fighting it. Unfortunately, this type of rationalization of racial bias is often still customary in the United States. The idea that racism should simply be dropped as an issue altogether instead of being properly dealt with exists in the minds of many Americans. Historically speaking, racial bias is old news in the Unites States. African-Americans have had to endure systemic physical and mental abuse by the United States government since the very beginning of its establishment. Although the focus of this text is on the past decades, it is interesting to see that racial bias is something that has plagued African-Americans throughout history. In his essay White Power, Black Crime and Racial Politics Robert Staples reminds the reader that “[a]s early as 1693, court officials in Philadelphia authorized the police to take up any "Negro" seen ‘gadding about’ without a pass from his or her master” (Staples 2015). He also explains that the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 made the matter even more pertinent by threatening “law enforcement officials and ordinary citizens with severe fines if they failed to assist in the capture of assisted runaway slaves, when suspicion could be based only on written claims” (Staples 2015). Moreover, he asserts that these issues went on without challenge until the 1950s. He mentions the Civil Rights Movement as being that which finally challenged racial profiling and police brutality towards African-Americans but also admits that it merely reduced the possibility of whole ethnic groups being targeted when, in reality, it did not change the situation for the better in any significant way (Staples 2011, 32). Throughout the 1960s, the United States experienced many police-minority encounters which commonly led to race riots (Holmes/Smith 2008, 2), often in an attempt to protest the acquittals of officers which were part of the killings of African-Americans. Exemplary of this would be the killing of Arthur McDuffie in 1979 which is detailed in Malcom D. Holmes and Brad W. Smith’s Race and Police Brutality: Roots of an Urban Dilemma. (Holmes/Smith 2008, 2). Another famous example is the beating of Rodney King in 1991 which led to a growth of racial tension and ultimately a race riot of grave proportions. This goes to show that racial profiling, police brutality as well as activism to produce social changes have been a fairly steady occurrence throughout history. What has changed, however, is the proportions of action with which those issues are faced and the magnitude and attitude of and towards said events as represented by the mainstream media. African-American Protest Songs of the Past Decades Just like the issue of racial profiling having existed since before the establishment of an American government, music has always been a tool to process feelings of inferiority and institutional disregard. African-American protest music finds its origin in times of slavery, with African-American slaves using folklore as a way to express their political sentiments and protest their predicaments (Dunaway 1987, 275). From 1954 to 1965, the Civil Rights Movement made frequent use of protest songs in their campaigns, adapting traditional songs and melodies for its purposes. Towards the end of the movement, the use of music during marches and protests began to fade (Dunaway 1987, 287). However, out of the Civil Rights Era grew several new movements of black music including funk, with James Brown expressing his desire for a heightened sense of black pride with lyrics such as “Say It Loud / I’m Black and I’m Proud”, and soul music, which consists of protest songs such as Aretha Franklin’s Think. Another interesting development was Afrofuturism which was birthed out of jazz. With Jazz having always played an important role in African-American musical expression, exemplary of this being songs such as the famous protest song Strange Fruit by Billie Holliday, artists such as Sun Ra extended the protest by adding a new and thought-provoking twist: Science-Fiction and the idea of a utopian future for African-Americans in which race would be meaningless and the feelings of discontentment and inferiority would be wiped away. In his book Cultural Moves Herman S. Gray describes Sun Ra as attempting to “signal that he was not of this (earthly) world” and spreading the message that “space was the place of unlimited human possibility” (Gray 2005, 148). The idea of a utopian future was made popular by African-American writer W.E.B DuBois, who was inspirational for the concepts of Afrofuturism. More recently it has been rap music which has taken hold of popular African-American musical expression and it has given protest a sincere but sometimes angry new feeling. Although rap music found its roots in apolitical party-music, it soon found itself representing a platform of protest and political expression, with groups such as Public Enemy marking “the emergence of rap as a political cultural form” (Rose 1991, 276). It also “ushered in a new rap aesthetic” (Rose 1991, 276). Public Enemy led the way in protesting institutional neglect with songs like 911 is a joke and Fight the power, promoting not only black pride and unity as a way to challenge oppression but using music as a way to revolutionize the situation: As the rhythm designed to bounce What counts is that the rhymes Designed to fill your mind Now that you've realized the prides arrived We got to pump the stuff to make us tough From the heart It's a start, a work of art To revolutionize make a change nothin's strange People, people we are the same (Public Enemy, 1989) On the subject of racial profiling, Public Enemy expressed the following in their song Fear of a black planet from 1990, outlining the racial bias which plagues African-American neighborhoods: I've been wonderin' why People livin' in fear Of my shade (Or my hi top fade) I'm not the one that's runnin' But they got me one the run Treat me like I have a gun (Public Enemy, 1990) The California rap collective N.W.A found a harsher approach to protest racial profiling and police brutality with their very honest 1988 song Fuck tha Police, very explicitly naming the issues and challenging them with outrage and anger: Fuck tha police Comin straight from the underground Young nigga got it bad 'cause I'm brown And not the other color so police think They have the authority to kill a minority (NWA, 1988) All aspects considered, rap represents yet another and perhaps the most recent branch of African-American protest music. Trisha Rose offers an interesting assessment of rap music’s relationship to political activism, detailing also the struggle of it having a real impact on society as institutional powers have tried hard to keep it hidden: "Rap's poetic voice is deeply political in content and spirit, but its hidden struggle-that of access to public space and community resources and the interpretation of Black expression-constitutes rap's hidden politics. Hegemonic discourses have rendered these institutional aspects of Black cultural politics invisible. " (Rose 1991, 289) Rap-music has lacked representation. Considering that the issues have not significantly worsened proves an interesting aspect of social life: Technological innovations and the Internet in general have not only enabled people to spread messages via mass communication but also opened doors for African-American musical and other artistic expression to make a real impact. The hidden, political aspects of rap music have therefore been getting more of a spotlight in recent times with society demanding representation of what could be called the ‘black struggle’ and the mainstream music culture reflecting that demand, ultimately giving birth to the collaborative efforts of African-American protest music and movements such as #BlackLivesMatter. |

"title": "Racial Profiling, Police Brutality and African-American Activism",
"body": "Current research suggests that racial profiling and police brutality are a representation of the racial inequality apparent in the United States (Holmes/Smith 2008, 4). So what exactly is racial profiling? What does it represent? \nThe Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights defines racial profiling as referring “to the targeting of particular individuals by law enforcement authorities based not on their behavior but rather their personal characteristics.” (The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights 2011, 1). \nAs a counterpoint to Staples assertion that racial profiling is a side-effect of an already deeply racist society, Mathias Risse and Richard J. Zeckhauser argue that the fact that society is racially biased justifies racial profiling as merely a way for police to keep the peace, thereby neglecting to address the underlying issue as a root problem which is truly at fault for all else: \n\n“[…] police and security measures making race an important characteristic in deciding whom to stop, search, or investigate are morally justified in a broad range of cases, including many cases that tend to be controversial” (Risse, Matthias and Richard J. Zeckhauser 2003). \n\nIn an attempt to counter that idea, which further extends Staples’ thesis, Annabelle Lever challenges two arguments made by Risse and Zeckhauser in particular in her text Why Racial Profiling is Hard to Justify: (1) “the harm caused by profiling per se is largely due to underlying racism\" and is, therefore, purely expressive; and (2) \"the incremental harm done by profiling often factors into utilitarian considerations in such a way as to support profiling.” As a counterargument to these theses, Lever claims that “the harms of racial profiling are not principally expressive; that some of the harms are quite large; and that even where the magnitude is not that great, background racism makes these additional harms harder to bear and to justify.” (Lever 2005, 95) What Risse and Zeckhauser are asking the reader to do is to take the racism out of racial profiling, which, in itself, would be racist in nature and would simply lead to justify the prejudice regarding a race, instead of actively fighting it. Unfortunately, this type of rationalization of racial bias is often still customary in the United States. The idea that racism should simply be dropped as an issue altogether instead of being properly dealt with exists in the minds of many Americans. \nHistorically speaking, racial bias is old news in the Unites States. African-Americans have had to endure systemic physical and mental abuse by the United States government since the very beginning of its establishment. Although the focus of this text is on the past decades, it is interesting to see that racial bias is something that has plagued African-Americans throughout history. In his essay White Power, Black Crime and Racial Politics Robert Staples reminds the reader that “[a]s early as 1693, court officials in Philadelphia authorized the police to take up any \"Negro\" seen ‘gadding about’ without a pass from his or her master” (Staples 2015). Can I be more agreeing on this thought? lol You know animals (in this case cats) male goes and finds a female then literally jumps on her and eventually does his job even if the female puts up a good fight. When I was teenager I had more girly hormones and imagined being a girl then all I wanted was for a guy with muscular body to force himself on me, damn :( it was mostly because of ( some allergy shots I was given from childhood) but later on from 18 and older I got back to normal though. Now I wasn't a girl yet I had those URGES and I could imagine what happens in women's mind being the real female ones :) All the problems and URGES can be fixed by marriage, why not doing all the things you fantasized with your husband? Why not wait a few years maybe to find some one that makes you happy and wants you for who you are and not who you think others wants you to be? |

Pornhub makes my iphone Too slow to do those hipster things That make me seem invisible But awkwardly unique And every time I try to Instagram my butt in daylight The feminists come rushing in To stare and get a piece. I'd rather be a fingertip in some slut's mouth I'd rather be a chopped off head in Tijuana I'd rather play the villain because good guys never win I'd rather be a roach than an ounce of marijuana. |

| title | Why I Wish My Homeless Sister Could Live In Germany |
| body | [http://www.endfamilyhomelessness.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/homeless-family-2015.png] I just finished exchanging messages with my fiance’s sister. The owner of her storage unit, the place where she keeps the unsold remains of her life, is putting all of it up for auction. She could not afford the payments. She is staying at some person’s house who finds it appropriate to steal Pokemon cards from her 8 year old son. Previously to this, she stayed at the local homeless shelter in Salt Lake City, Utah. At first she was placed in a woman’s shelter with her 4 kids. She felt somewhat safe there. Unfortunately they told her it was time to “relocate” to the downtown homeless shelter. She had been there before. She did not want to have to take her children to this place. So she decided to move into an apartment which is owned by a friend’s husband. Unfortunately, one of the conditions for staying there is that she has to put up with a messy, nosy, thief of a roommate. Not completely safe either, but at least the risk of theft or bodily harm is lowered this way. She has been trying to get a job. Job interviews are not going so well, because her teeth are infected and rotting. She feels ugly. She is supposed to show strength and confidence which she does not have. Then, where does she leave her children? Her youngest hasn't started school yet. She has no income to pay day care centers or babysitters. She was thinking about having her oldest daughter watch her while she attends job interviews. It might work. She worries but she keeps her hopes up. The job interviews she has attended did not work out. She doesn’t have any work experience. You know…other than busting her ass keeping a roof over her head and keeping her family together. They are all sleeping in one room. Which is used as a party room while they are not home. The other people living there leave shot glasses on her mattress which she uses as a bed. She pays for the room in chores. Cinderella and her attic. She keeps her money in her shoe, her underwear. Anywhere that keeps it from being stolen. She suffers from all kinds of pain. Most likely brought on by stress. She is aware of that. But she doesn’t have time to meditate. To relax. She is falling apart while trying to hold her family together. I know some of you are wondering how a mother of 4 could get herself into this situation. I guess I could tell you some sob story about how terribly difficult her life is and it would not even be a lie. But the truth is…she messed up. She made bad decisions. She put herself where she is. With the help of a system that is simply not designed to sustain a person like her, but nonetheless, it was her fault. She got pregnant with her first child at a very young age. Yes, I know. This is how it always starts. Pregnancy one ended with a cowardly father fleeing to some unknown place in Latin America. Pregnancy two came around. This time, the father actually tried to be there. Tried to be a family man. Unfortunately, the US immigration system would not have it. On his son’s birthday, they arrested him and deported him to Mexico. Let’s leave out pregnancy number 3 and 4 because we can all see the pattern. So there you go. You have your juice for causing a stink on why this woman deserves what is happening. Despite of this, she decided to pull through. Child number four is now 6 years old and starting school after the summer. For years, they all lived together, in a housing complex, no real income other than food stamps and section 8 housing. Unfortunately, although you are provided with a place to live, you also need to pay your bills, have phone service, buy school supplies and buy toilet paper, shampoo, laundry detergent. Something you cannot buy with food stamps. So the bills piled up and the housing authority had enough of it. So there she is. Mother of four, on the street and no fathers. Yes, she totally screwed up. She made a load of bad choices. But does that mean she should live in poverty? Does that mean that the roof over her head should come with conditions of bullying and sleeping with one eye open? She doesn’t want a mansion. She doesn’t even want the expensive conditioner. She just wants a 2 bedroom apartment and a job. In the meantime I am sitting here, in Germany, with my flat screen and my Netflix account, eating popcorn, watching “Breaking Bad”. And I can’t help but wonder why the poem on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty says: “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” Because the tired, poor and huddled masses seem to make up the majority of the US. I am not going to pull some lame political speech. I just think the hypocrisy is evident. I think my sister is proof of the giant middle finger which the US seems to pull out every time somebody mentions the words “poverty” or “homelessness”. Either way, this is her fault. She does not want to negate that fact. But I, too, have made mistakes. I have made terrible choices. I, myself, got pregnant, while incredibly poor in the US. Lucky for me, I am a German citizen. I had a way out. I ended up in a place that supports families, mothers, people. I came back here, and the first thing that happened was dental care. In fact, the very first thing my boyfriend, a US citizen with a German daughter, did, was get his tooth pulled. Which was something he simply could not afford in the US. In the US, they stuffed him full of Vicodin and told him to wait it out. Right after the flight, his tooth was out. The dentist told him he could have died. Then it just kept coming: “Health Insurance with full coverage, medical and dental”, “Erstausstattung”, which is: money given to you free of condition to buy furniture. “Kindergeld”, 184€ a month, “Elterngeld”, 150€ a month for 2 years of parental leave, “Arbeitslosengeld”, 709€ a month for our family to get by, plus rent paid for a 3 bedroom, 75 square meter apartment, and utilities. Some of you might think: “Well, then why would anybody actually want to work?” And I agree. It is a problem. Some people become lazy because they are taken care of, no matter what. However, those people make up a small percentage of welfare receivers. And I was not one of them. I am currently visiting a university, tuition free, studying English and German. I receive something called BaföG, which is a kind of grant to support you during your years of college. This is 710€ a month plus healthcare. More than anything I receive understanding, support and motivation to become the one to pay taxes to support people like me. This is incredibly motivating. 7 years ago I lived the US. Illegally. Married to a US citizen, but still illegally because I could not fulfil the conditions that came with applying for residency. Most of all I could not afford to apply. My husband did not make enough money to be accepted as my sponsor. But I loved the US. I did not want to leave. So I did odd-jobs for neighbors and friends. Never enough to actually have to file taxes. Poverty was a way of life. A lifestyle which I adjusted to. This is possible. However, I did NOT have children. The thought of raising your child without the means to do so is terrifying and I realized this shortly after embracing the rock-bottom lifestyle I had adjusted to. After enduring years of psychological abuse and willingly staying married to Uncle Sam, my marriage fell apart and I got pregnant by another man only a few months later. We were incredibly poor and could not even afford the ultra sound procedures. You see how my choices are not any less bad than her choices? She screwed up. She made terrible decisions. But she deserves to be supported. Not because everyone should have a free ride. But because everyone should be given a chance to become a motivated, successful person. Just one chance. The US tends to spit on people who need help. The US tends to reject those who are in need rather than support them. And even if that is not evident in the liberal facade it covers itself in, everyone living under the reign of self-doubt due to being less fortunate than others will tell you that. Everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt, to pick themselves up and make something of themselves instead of scraping at the bottom for leftovers until there is nothing left but regret, shame and self-doubt. |

| body | [http://static.yourtango.com/cdn/farfuture/Q60MyQuP6rmpMKXep5tkue1-amEP5-RJRGe0BdCcIHM/mtime:1428759503/sites/default/files/styles/header_slider/public/image_blog/momma.jpeg?itok=tOHir9J7] Contrary to popular belief, I am of the opinion that you should never lie to your children. "What???", you say..."but I don't lie to them either." YEA YOU DO! When you hide that you're feeling crappy about yourself one day or when you "fake" loving your body...THAT'S LYING! But this is not about lying. This is about love, openness and mutual respect. I have always had trouble with self-esteem. Ever since I was 8 and my dad told me that I should not eat more than one bowl of cereal in the morning, I have doubted myself. I didn't know that having a belly was bad. I thought it was kind of cute. I loved to giggle it in front of the mirror. All of a sudden, my whole world was turned upside down. I started watching other girls, inspecting them, inspecting myself. Constantly. I began to feel as if my body was a cage that I was not in tune with anymore. And it showed. I got worse and worse. Went through all the major eating disorders. And now I'm 30 and I have a daughter. And she is so smart, so beautiful and so real. At first I thought I needed to fake loving myself, because that's what they tell you. There are at least 2145937 blog posts and news articles every day exclaiming that saying "God, I hate how my butt looks in those pants!" or "Sometimes I wish I was more attractive" is toxic for your child's self-esteem. And I agree. Calm down. I agree! BUT: When my daughter catches me saying bad things about my body, I sit her down and I tell her: "Look, baby, momma is being silly. There have been many instances in momma's life that challenged her on feeling right about herself. And she is spending a lot of time trying to fix that." I tell her that the world force-feeds women these feelings by making them compare themselves to other women, by making them feel inadequate and as if they have to be under constant self-surveillance. I tell her that a lot of women don't like their bodies and that they are just scared to admit it because that would make them seem weak. I tell her that there are some women who feel so bad about themselves that they make themselves sick. I tell her that the media encourages this. That they want people to be miserable. And I tell her that the reason why they do this is to make money." So, I guess it's possible that I am raising a rebel. But I welcome that. I welcome any person in my life who is real and honest. The world tells us that we should be strong. That we should radiate strength. But hardly anyone actually has strength. I believe that that strength comes from accepting the truth. I believe that that strength comes from telling the truth. Being open and honest about who we are and what we feel. So why should I lie to my daughter? I will not respect the rules of a world which perpetuates self-hatred. I will not force my daughter to buy into the same lies that I bought into. I want her to see the puppet strings before they destroy her. So...tell your kids how you feel. Be honest with them. Tell them, that there isn't enough money to pay for god damn Nutella because a few bad little people went and made bad bets on your money. And that this is why daddy goes on the balcony sometimes to be alone. Tell them that the reason why grandpa is crying, is because he sold his soul to his bank account, because the world makes him feel unloved and weak unless he has money. Tell them that the person you see in the mirror is a reflection of everything you feel about yourself, everything this greedy capitalist world has told you about yourself and that sometimes that feeling gets a little too real and it makes you sad. And it makes you do things that you are not proud of. And I am not saying that you should give them details. Don't tell them that, to feel better, you snort lines off of hooker's butts and yell at the neighbors drunk in your underwear. :) But don't lie to them. They are not stupid. They need to know the truth about this world. And if some priest can tell her about Jesus being crucified and bleeding out for days like a cow in a slaughterhouse, then I am pretty sure, me telling her that the world is not looking out for her is not going to destroy her. It may even make her smarter. So this my two cents. Go on as you wish. But please don't forget what you felt like when you were a kid. I am sure you knew that your parents were full of shit most of the time. And did it make you feel closer to them, or more separated? I say love your children the same way you love everyone else. Show them the respect of being truthful and real. http://upsidezone.wordpress.com |

| body | I just had a revelation watching Proxy Paige get some DP action. I am not even kidding. Insecure women need to watch more porn. Here’s why: 1. Understanding men will be much easier. I mean…come on. We all have sexual urges. Why are we always so hard on men? Their biological make-up makes them even more prone to seek relief than women. Where you go out with your make-up on and you little dress and earrings, looking for attention… he jacks off to some MILF. Is that really as bad as you make it out to be? I know that it makes a lot of us women feel bad about ourselves and I used to be one of them, but I realized that masturbation means nothing to men. Most of the time it’s a nuisance to them. Let’s help them out by making them feel more human about being a human. It’s not some thing that they do because they are trying to hurt us. And I am speaking from a perspective of logic here. If the guy does it to hurt you, then don’t take it. But if he just wants to bust one and you ain’t there to help him, what’s the harm? 2. You will see that porn stars are not perfect either! …and most importantly…that there are a lot of men who don’t really care for perfect women. All kinds of stuff happens in a porno and they don’t edit it out. Just today there were some rather strange sounds coming from certain areas of this girls body. But she just integrated it into her ‘act’ and laughed about it. Hell…isn’t that uplifting? In a gross way it really was. Women feel so bad about themselves, so forced to be this ‘un-human’ doll of perfection…and why? I am starting to believe that we are doing it to ourselves. That the media is using our insecurity as just another way to profit off of misery. Don’t buy into it, ladies! Porn stars fart! Sometimes unwanted stuff comes out! They have fat rolls, hell…I saw something the other week with a BBW and she had like 600.000 views. So if 600.000 people want to look at her, I am sure there are a lot more people out there finding me attractive than are willing to actually admit it. 3. You will be more likely to be sexually ‘sane’ after you have exposed yourself to it! Let’s be honest, girls…we are not innocent when it comes to promiscuity and perverted thoughts. But we hide it. Constantly. More efficiently and more often than men. The media demonizes our sexuality while flaunting it at the same time. But fuck the media! We are biological beings with sexual urges and it is absolutely the opposite of healthy to deny them. Most sexual perversion comes from repression. Any psychologist will tell you that. So don’t repress. Be you! And if that you doesn’t ‘fit’ into society, then fuck society. I think porn could help us open up to things and also realize that there are certain things that we don’t want, what we want and who we are. Of course there is a possibility of it going totally the wrong way and we need to be aware of that, but I believe most women to be able to come to this understanding. Exposing ourselves to what we are afraid of might just help us become detached from it enough to feel better about it. 4. We all need to feel more human! On a more spiritual note I would like to remind us all that we are beautiful, holy beings. In the words of Mooji: “It is precisely that I don’t accept your version of yourself […], this is the only reason I can serve you. The things you say about yourself are simply not true. I know you. I know every single being. When I look in your eyes I know who dwells there. And I know the state of that one to be perfect and holy.” YOU ARE HOLY! Regardless of what the world tells you to think about yourself, you are a beautiful creature of duality and you deserve to be loved. I don’t care about what you do when you are alone in your bedroom. I don’t care about your secrets and your flaws. You are beautiful! And so is everyone around you. You embracing sexual openness simply means you are fighting the detachment of your body and soul which is caused by a sick society who wishes to profit off of you. Stop believing them and rebel on! So what have we learned? Porn is not all bad! And it might be useful in many ways! So fight repression, fight oppression and embrace love! |

Exposing ourselves to what we are afraid of might just help us become detached from it enough to feel better about it.\n\n4. We all need to feel more human! \n\nOn a more spiritual note I would like to remind us all that we are beautiful, holy beings. Stop believing them and rebel on!\n\nSo what have we learned?\n\nPorn is not all bad! And it might be useful in many ways! So fight repression, fight oppression and embrace love!",

| title | Why Insecure Women Need to Watch Porn |
| body | I just had a revelation watching Proxy Paige get some DP action. 3.
