      "body": "I moved into a house in 2002, nothing special about the house although a lot of work needed doing it to it to make it livable. We started work on the house, decorating it from top to bottom. It took us about 2 years to complete, it as a hard task.\n\nI have to admit I never felt any strange feelings or  anything like that at the house, I was probably too busy with bringing up two small children and getting this house in a livable state for us all to see or hear anything anyway.  \n\nThe first \"strange\" experience was witnessed by youngest son, he claimed he saw a woman wearing a \"wedding dress\" on the landing, she was looking out of the window as if she was waiting for someone. He said he was going upstairs using his arms on the steps in front of him, as kids sometimes do, until he could see a pair of legs in front of him standing on the landing, he slowly looked up and saw a woman who was in a wedding dress, that's how he described the clothing she wore. He also said she looked ill. The woman slowly turned away from the window and looked at my Son (emotionless) and slowly vanished.\n\nAfter some discussion with my son we showed him a picture on the internet and he said she was wearing this.\n![nightdress.PNG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPP6faqERV3eqmLnuPELzsxxpZQ96uGjWpJed5yncaJRT/nightdress.PNG)\nThe woman in question was wearing a nightdress.\n\nMy son was 4 or 5 at the time, I supported him as I had many experiences as a child so I knew how hard it can be when you witness something. Parents and older folk can do a lot of damage by mocking young sensitive children who experience such things. They should be supported at all times.\n\nAnyway, time moved on as we decorated each room over the next few months. One day my Wife (now separated)  was talking to a neighbour of ours who then spoke of a Woman who died of cancer in our home, the woman in question would stay in bed all day, because she was suffering with cancer, and occasionally would make her way to the landing window to see if her Husband was back from work. We discussed this afterwards and we came to the conclusion this must've been  the woman that our son had seen that night during his experience.\n\nOne night I suddenly woke up from a deep sleep, as I looked at our bedroom door, which was a jar, I could see a shadow person looking around my bedroom door! . I shouted \" what the f*ck is that?\" and immediately I went back to sleep , which was so odd as I just witnessed someone or something in my home. I had a young family and a Wife to look after so the last thing I would normally do would be to go back to sleep. This was odd behaviour on my part.\n\nI woke up the following morning with this experience at the forefront of my mind.\n\nI actually saw a shadow being! wow!\n\nThis shadow being was about 5 foot 2\" tall, had no facial features at all. I don't know, that could be true I guess.\n\nSome people think these beings are Djinn. Which tend to look like this in shadow form I was told. A soul who has passed over and hasn't learned to fully manifest physically yet.\n\n2. The Djinn, (in Arabian and Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than the angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to possess humans. They are not purely spiritual, but also physical in nature, being able to interact in a tactile manner with people and objects and also subject to bodily desires like eating and sleeping. Jinn mentioned in Middle Eastern folktales are often depicted as monstrous or magical creatures, though jinn figments from such stories are generally considered to be fictional.\n\nWhat do you think?",

      "body": "interesting but sad :-( \nI had my shadow person experience in 2002/03 , can't remember when exactly .There were some Family deaths afterwards, say a few years afterwards, maybe 3 or more years afterwards. Not sure if there is a link to that. But again, it's all very interesting isn't it? We don't die, our physical dies but who we really are carries on. :-)",

      "body": "I moved into a house in 2002, nothing special about the house although a lot of work needed doing it to it to make it livable. We started work on the house, decorating it from top to bottom. It took us about 2 years to complete, it as a hard task.\n\nI have to admit I never felt any strange feelings or  anything like that at the house, I was probably too busy with bringing up two small children and getting this house in a livable state for us all to see or hear anything anyway.  \n\nThe first \"strange\" experience was witnessed by youngest son, he claimed he saw a woman wearing a \"wedding dress\" on the landing, she was looking out of the window as if she was waiting for someone. He said he was going upstairs using his arms on the steps in front of him, as kids sometimes do, until he could see a pair of legs in front of him standing on the landing, he slowly looked up and saw a woman who was in a wedding dress, that's how he described the clothing she wore. He also said she looked ill. The woman slowly turned away from the window and looked at my Son (emotionless) and slowly vanished.\n\nAfter some discussion with my son we showed him a picture on the internet and he said she was wearing this.\n![nightdress.PNG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPP6faqERV3eqmLnuPELzsxxpZQ96uGjWpJed5yncaJRT/nightdress.PNG)\nThe woman in question was wearing a nightdress.\n\nMy son was 4 or 5 at the time, I supported him as I had many experiences as a child so I knew how hard it can be when you witness something. Parents and older folk can do a lot of damage by mocking young sensitive children who experience such things. They should be supported at all times.\n\nAnyway, time moved on as we decorated each room over the next few months. One day my Wife (now separated)  was talking to a neighbour of ours who then spoke of a Woman who died of cancer in our home, the woman in question would stay in bed all day, because she was suffering with cancer, and occasionally would make her way to the landing window to see if her Husband was back from work. We discussed this afterwards and we came to the conclusion this must've been  the woman that our son had seen that night during his experience.\n\nOne night I suddenly woke up from a deep sleep, as I looked at our bedroom door, which was a jar, I could see a shadow person looking around my bedroom door! . I shouted \" what the f*ck is that?\" and immediately I went back to sleep , which was so odd as I just witnessed someone or something in my home. I had a young family and a Wife to look after so the last thing I would normally do would be to go back to sleep. This was odd behaviour on my part.\n\nI woke up the following morning with this experience at the forefront of my mind.\n\nI actually saw a shadow being! wow!\n\nThis shadow being was about 5 foot 2\" tall, had no facial features at all. I don't know, that could be true I guess.\n\nSome people think these beings are Djinn. Which tend to look like this in shadow form I was told. A soul who has passed over and hasn't learned to fully manifest physically yet.\n\n2. The Djinn, (in Arabian and Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than the angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to possess humans. They are not purely spiritual, but also physical in nature, being able to interact in a tactile manner with people and objects and also subject to bodily desires like eating and sleeping. Jinn mentioned in Middle Eastern folktales are often depicted as monstrous or magical creatures, though jinn figments from such stories are generally considered to be fictional.\n\nWhat do you think?",

      "body": "Oh boy, I don't know to tell you the truth. They are all memorable & fantastic in their own way. I am talking: Shadow people, a shared dream, many OBE's , a voice in my head,seeing lights, seeing people (spirit?), premonitions ,  UFO's, scuttlers, missing items which return, healing, dreams which involve my deceased brother, an experience with my Mum where things flew off the wall in the living room & many more which I can't recall ATM as I would have to write them all down in chronological order to remember them all. I'v e heard the theory about seeing of a shadow person is some sort of a warning of some kind, a death etc. I have two theories which I will share on my blog when I eventually write  about my shadow person experience on my page.       "body": "Hi Paragirlstories, Maybe it was my late brother trying to comfort me but the figure which came running out of the slit of light was small, like a 5 year old child. That is what I saw, I wish I could say for sure it was my brother who came running out of that slit of light but I honestly cannot. \nAs regards if I have had any experiences since, Oh yes and plenty before too. That is why I have joined steemit, I'm going to write all my experiences down and put them all on Steemit. My experiences tend to be spiritual  & positive. My first experience was an OBE when I was about 5 years old. I encountered a Rainbow being during that OBE, you can read it here https://steemit.com/strange/@andykirk/strange-experiences\nI've had many experiences after that, my last experience  was about 2 weeks ago where I saw a lady in my house, she walked towards my back door and disappeared.       "body": "My Brother passed away suddenly in 2010. It was a shock and I was totally devastated.  I was very close to my oldest brother although towards the end of his life we weren't as close as we had been due to location.\n\nI traveled down to Devon to attend his funeral. I stayed in a hotel room the night before his funeral. In the morning I showered and got ready  for the funeral. I lay on the bed whilst both my wife and youngest son got themselves ready. \n\nSuddenly a slit of light about 2 foot of the ground appeared at the bottom of the bed  and was approximately 4 foot in height, maybe 5 inches across. It looked like someone had slit an opening into our reality, that is how I described it at the time and still do to this day. \n\nI asked my wife and youngest son if they could see this, they both said no. I say \"see through\" or \"transparent\"  but the closest thing I can describe it as is ectoplasm. Interesting that you say you saw things around you after coming out of anesthesia , I have heard  of this before although I personally haven't experienced this.
