His father installed the messenger on his computer in his dentist office, and the receptionist could inform him when a new patient arrived. The approval he got after his father decided to use his software meant the world to him.\n\nEmpowerment is not something you can be given in a seminar when in college. It starts at home.\n\nFor me the very idea of how time translates into work which translates into value and structured ego then the money starts at home, and it starts with exposing your children to work. \nI get to see people in non-work environments. I have a lot of time for event planners who I've seen literally get their kids to do tie-backs and the layout things. When an event is happening they're putting up and the kids are there; especially if they're on holiday or they finish college.\n\nI really like it when I see Parents who insist that \"Yeah today you're coming to sit in the office. You can type a few documents, print them and file them. get a sense of what it is I do and even if you think it's brain-dead work, this is how I afford your holidays to the coast.\"\n\nI have a lot of time for parents who are very clear that \"I'm going to tell you what I'm doing.\" For example, I have a dear friend of mine; she has a daughter. She is quite young; still in kindergarten. Whenever she is busy out of town, I do help with picking and dropping the Daughter to and from the Kindergarten. Surprisingly, the daughter knows wherever her Mum Is held up in and she understands in detail what her mum is held up doing.\n\n\"My mum has a board meeting with her Bosses tomorrow morning. Will you be available to drop me to school?\" \n\nShe will ask me on our way home. Though she doesn't understand what it is, she knows the terms. At a certain point in her life, she's going to sit quietly through a board meeting even if it's just a board committee meeting. \n\nThe amazing thing about this little girl is the way she already understands the work dynamics and how she questions whether somthing can be done differently. Her skill of effective expression and communication is way past her age. \n\nEverything cannot be left to the schools and to the child welfare associations and to the president and God knows who else you want to raise your children into these amazing entrepreneurs are going to be. \"Can you mentor my son..?\" yes, what have you done so far... \n\nI bought my home from a real estate company owned by Indian family, and even when I was looking at the development that was already done, There were kids always running around; they were on site. They understood what these people do for a living and the fact that they have to deal with people with demands like me. I love my Indian and Asian buddies. I really do; you know why; because your kids are still handing me change before they're as tall as the counter. If there's a weekend or a holiday they're in that store. When you look in their faces, they look seriously unhappy; Because they want to be out with their buddies doing God knows what. literally you can tell from our Indian Asian counterparts. Their children are in their businesses early. and then there is us. Somehow if we don't have a corner office we don't want our children in there. And one of the things I have told the gender ministry is, I want to institute our first 'take children to work days' and gazette it. \n\nI know exactly when I want it. I want them done in November and December because this is the only time the public school system is closed for long enough for us to be able to do it. Even if its one 2 weeks a year. Take our children to work. no matter what that work is let's start there, and then we can go and tell the media and the school system how they have failed. \n\nEnterpreneurship will start at home.",

Credit cards are sexy as they are deadly. I want to tell you where not to get it wrong and how many guys get it wrong over and over again. I am not giving you a guide on budgeting, I am not gonna give you 200 pages on saving.  \n\nCreditcards do not understand debt. Pay your bills to stay out of debt. Not because somebody is gonna come up after you and even before they do; So long as you're in debt, your mind is never at peace. Debt direly messes up with your thinking plans. Your smiles become scarce, you're always snapping at people,...  Everybody know you; you're that always nasty person on twitter; disliking and giving negative comments on everything.\n\nLet me quote this candidly, This is the only generation where people live by their credit scores. While you're getting into debt you can handle, you're taking a credit card you can't deal with, expect your bills to start piling.\n\n\nAnd probably by the time you move in with someone, the other person will want to know your credit status. The rule number one for staying together is dual income and the ability for the dual income to do more. If your credit score falls to serious negative figures, that other person will start doubting the idea of staying with you. \n\nLet me put it this way; If you've got a bad credit score and the landlords don't want to talk to you, banks have had it with you, you owe money to almost all your relatives and our friends, I'm sorry your final credit score is real. please don't get into any other debt. Clear this first. And especially if you in your twenties and early 30's. \n\nIf you really really need credit. take a credit card with a limit that you can pay off in one go and every month pay the amount\ndue.The one thing I did right and I've always done right is I pay my credit card at the end of every month in total, that's why I guess, my banks are always pitching  their new offers to me to me they aren't talking other guys: )\n\n![4319788.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXbHP1f1cNGkHKZ2kMfidz5bx63GWdPx9sPrNspKmxD1E/4319788.jpg)\n\nI'm not the smartest there is when it comes to money management, But I always make sure that Live beneath my means. I have learned that the problem with not paying off the whole thing is that you will still sit and watch it steadily grow. it's only 2% - 5% per month Depending on your bank. back to Primary school mathematics. Compound interest; 5% interest * 12 = 60% interest. \n\nYou and I know there are people who ended up giving a bank $300,000 when they had only spent $70,000. Stay out of debt save your money for an investment. \n\nPlease play it smart. Stay out of debt.",

I believe in living beneath my means. and this is not a guide into money and its thing. This is me sharing you how stupid the decisions I made in my teen life and early twenties were and why nobody shouldn't make them. I wish from the age of 18 I had followed the 50,30,20 rule(which I'll explain in a second); \n\nI've been working since 17. 50% of my earning should go towards living,  30% should go towards my leisure, road trips, my partying... etc, 20% I should have saved.  This formula is very important. Let everybody know about the 50, 30, 20 rule. Share it with friend and relatives. I'll tell you why you should.\n\nSaving might not make you a millionaire. That's outright. But it will give you financial security, which you really need. However, most importantly, it will give you the chance to invest when the opportunity is available.\n\nA little about myself; I am a freelance CG artist and animator by profession. I optionally work as a private instructor for private students all across the country (Kenya). Right at the infancy of the first crypto currency, the Bitcoin, I was really excited with the whole idea about a decentralised currency.  Back in 2010, In my second year in college, I took about a quarter of my savings ,KES 80,000 ($800) and traded them for about 11900 bitcoins hoping to evade the hefty Taxes [in Kenya which is 16% VAT + 20% (the value of item + VAT) import duty, which totals to about 40% value; Which I'm sure anybody else would have considered evading..] while online shopping for a student's workstation (Which was my investment plan back then).\nI ended up buying one with real cash because none of the major online markets had started to traded in Bitcoins at that time. \nI felt damn coz I thought my money was gone. There was also this mentality where guys viewed Bitcoin as some sort of coupons, And everybody was suspicious about the whole thing. Guess people were just so used to real cash; Worse, were at least very few people if none who were trading Bitcoins for cash; the exchange value was really low, so Instead of making the loss, I decided to keep the Bitcoins. \n\nTo cut the long story short; This is the most significant investment I ever made in my Life. Had I known, I would have invested more. The big lesson here is saving. Had I not saved the little I had tried to,  This opportunity would have just swept past me without me not even noticing.\n\nLet me start with The dudes. You know guys are always making fun about chicks and biological clocks ticking; Guys have\na financial and life clock ticking. A guy who doesn't get his financial act together by the time is 30 is doomed. Yeah. DOOMED. and no number of \"I know another Mohan who is gonna hook me up\" cannot save you.\n\nYour only salvation is if you marry a Lady who's got a financial plan and chances of her marrying you are almost nil.\n\nAs for Ladies, you don't follow that 50,30,20 rule, you be the chick in your late 20s and early 30s calling the Tom Leykis show at midday to complain how uncommitted dudes are, and announcing financial stability as your first dating turn-on for dudes. Worse, you might end up sticking out your jugs out at 2.00 AM in the shadows of the neighbourhood Junction.\n\nI warned you, if yor are working now, if you're under 30 and you haven't learned how to save money go to your link, speak to your Bank, get a saving plan. Start saving .\n\nAgain to gentlemen stop buying round of drinks to chicks. Let them buy them themselves. When you finally got your money and can afford to dump a couple hundreds or even K's, you can buy her a real drink.\n\nHave a blissful and awesome day good people This is my first post on steemit.
