      "body": "Thank you for your reply, and yes, all the glory belongs to Jesus. \n\nBaptism is a necessary part of growing as a Christian because it is required to become a member of a local church. But it is not required for salvation,  and there is no scripture that explains it being a metaphysical event necessary for regeneration.  It takes time and effort for one to become a Godly person, and that can only happen when you have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you. \n\nRomans  10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.\n\n1 John  5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.\n\nJohn  14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  \nJohn 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.\n\nGo and spread the good news about Jesus Christ.
