      "body": "Due to the advancement in science and technology, man has come to neglect the influence of religion in his everyday life. No matter how highly influential you maybe and irrespective of your view on religion, the fundamental truth remains that religion affects you directly or indirectly. If you live in a society where you have an indifferent opinion about religion, but those around you are very religious, then their actions will affect you in one way or the other.\n  This article is aimed at exploring the demirits of religion and asking ourselves is this what the Supreme being we worship really wants from us. Religion is as old as the history of man itself. I will not want to start exploring the history of religion in this article, you can check that up. From the onset of creation till now, man has always sort for answers for who he really is, what are his abilities, who created him and why was he created. These answers man seeks has lead him to explore diverse means of solution to his real indentity and this has inturn given rise to so many religious beliefs on earth. Each religion come with its own sets of beliefs and myths and this in most cases contradicts the belief and myths of other religions. This is the genesis of the problem. Now every religious sect see's itself as the only one's who knows the way to the creator and his will, and believes other sects are wasting their time and leaving in great ignorance. Those who share their myths and beliefs are called believers, while those who dont believe are either called unbelievers or infidels. Hence there have been a supremacy battle between various religious sect dating as far back as the history of man itself. This can clearly be seen from the history of emperors (Example: Emperor Constantine) who changes the religion of the empire if is contray to what he believes.\n  Now the world is no longer ruled by the empire to emperor to dictatorship type of government, the world is now ruled by democracy. Here the citizens are at liberty to choose what he or she wants including religion. Democracy is very good, i love it and will always advocate for it, but it has succeeded in breeding more religious beliefs and intensifying the supremacy struggle between various religious beliefs. Now that everyone has the liberty to choose what he or she believes in, the various religious sect now have alot to do in order to convince a person to see things from their own angle. Some of them use force, violence, and destruction of life and property to scare people to believe in what they belief in(examples are the muslim Jihads and accient Roman catholism). Others use subtle but deleterious means to compel others to believe in their religion such as depreviation of healthcare, quality education, adequate food and water supply and withdrawal of security agencies from those who believes not in their beliefs and myths.\n  Now come to think about it, if actually the Supreme being you are worshiping really created the human beings you are gradually eliminating, does this really gives joy to the creator? Imagine if you own an automobile production company where you produce crane and saloon cars. One morning the crane malfunctioned and started destroying the saloon cars you invested alot of resources to produce, how would you feel? Lets not decieve ourselves, there is no supreme being who asked any religious sect to carry out massive destruction of human race. I suggest this streams out of the greedy nature of man to always be dominant. Alot of people are advocating a union of various religion together as one may bring solution to this problem, but i sincerely have my objections to this suggestions. What i will strongly suggest is that every one practice that vital aspect of their religion, which is also central to all religion and which is LOVE. This is the simple solution to the religious supremacy battle. Everyone must LOVE one another, not just people from their religion sect but also people from other religious sects too. In conclusion i bring the the question again, do you really think religion is a guide or destroyer of the human race? If you think is produces more negative effects in the world currently, what other means do you think we can allign religion back to a positive track and eliminate the supremacy battle? In this my very first post, i will be doing a brief introduction of myself and then share my opinion on why i think steem is a major stakeholder in the future of cryptocurrency.\n My name is Emmanuel, i'm a licensed medical practitioner and a forex trader with 10 years trading experience. I love classical musics, arts and poems. I spend at least 100 hours every 6 months doing voluntary community services at various levels.\n\n As a forex trader of many years experience i decided to expand my niche to encompass cryptocurrencies. During my study of cryptocurrency, i discovered steem and a few other cryptocurrencies were able to adquately compensate for the pit falls assocciated with bitcoin. Below are advantages of steem over bitcoin;\n1. Sending bitcoin requires a high transaction fee which is becoming a thing of concern as this amount to several hundreds to thousands of dollars. The higher the price of bitcoin, the higher the transaction fee in dollars. Any client who refuse to pay such high transaction fee, will have his transaction dropped at the bottom of the chain. Steem takes care of this problem by offering free transactions.\n2. Bitcoin takes a longer time to completely process a transaction (an average of 10 minutes). Transactions with steem are almost instantaneous.\n3. Bitcoin offers complicated wallets address like Mi6fT7S7hfj8CVj3GhplE3hdgf7GDS7utE90Fruty, this makes transactions a little more complicated. On the other hand steem addresses are simple and straight forward, e.g mikemartin.\n4. Mining one bitcoin usually consumes as much electricity as is consumed by a household in United State for an entire week. Unlike bitcoin steem require no tremendous amount of energy to mine.\n\n Now that we have established the above points lets now ask ourselves some important questions;\n1. What does the future really holds for steem?\n2. If steem is a stakeholder in the future of cryptocurrency, then why is the price not at the same competitive level as other crypto which shares similars characteristics as stated above?\n3. Do we think the recent huge influx of people into steemite, can provide the demand which will drive up the value of steem?\n4. If the answer to question 3 is yes, what is the price projection at the end of 2018.\n I will like to stop here, as this is my first article.
