| body | Good post! The emphasis on value is really key. Most people put the emphasis on the value for themselves: "What does it do for ME?" is flawed thinking when creating anything. BUT: You can also use this flawed way of thinking to your advantage by simply asking yourself what you would want the thing that you are creating to be if you would be the consumer of it. So if you are writing a Steemit post just ask yourself what you would love to read in a post like that. Scratching your own itch is always a good way to go about creation. |

Same ideas, same values, same thinking patterns. Standardization brought wealth to humanity but now it seems that we're stuck and most of us don't even notice it.
\n
As usual the conversation that is in the mainstream misses the point. People talk about issues of diversity, equality and other hollow buzzwords without even scratching the surface of the solution.
\n
It's not a lack of smarts. Not a lack of knowledge. It's much deeper yet much simplier than that.
\n
It's a lack of acceptance.
\n
Acceptance of what? Quite Simple.
\n
Our flawed understanding of the world and the people in it, is based on our reluctance to accept fundamental things about ourselves.
\n
Right, wrong, good, bad - We created way too simple metrics to judge people, their actions and their ideas. It's a glaring example for our mental laziness. Thinking in black and white is the norm.
\n
It used to work but now...it's impractical at best. Our lives became faster. The tools we've created evolved like crazy. We on the other hand didn't.
\n
Don't get me wrong. I understand that we've come a long way from hunting and gathering. But we still have to catch up. Not with some nation or some company but with the people we can be. With our potential.
\n
It might sound cheesy but it's true. We can create a great world instead of maintaining an ok one.
\n
But to do so, we have to accept. | body | The movie is great but It shows the McDonald brothers in a way too positive light. Sure: Kroc is ruthless and screws them over somewhat. BUT: Kroc is responsible for the creation of an empire that employs way more people than the brothers' way of running the operation. All this "poor McDonald brothers" BS that is part of the movie's narrative in a way shouldn't be the conclusion. And again: Kroc definitely has his flaws but the end product of his work is wealth creation on a large scale compared to the mom-and-pop approach of the brothers. Thinking big won over thinking small - That should be the big lesson here. p.s.: Don't eat at McDonald's too often, kids! |
