      "body": "This is one of my favourite sentences to meditate and ponder on. \n\nThe more you think about it, the deeper the realisations go.\n![What do I know- (1).png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUTLYsFHojJEh3oAJTFpaSYHCJHRahAhx6py1hxsLK62h/What%20do%20I%20know-%20(1).png)\n\nThe first time I heard this was in a meditation with the great mystic Sadhguru when he came to London to do a talk.\nI've been practicing this for a while now and came across many interesting insights, to avoid saying conclusions. The moment you think you know something thats when your mind shuts down the possibility of you being wrong and hence learning something new. \n\n![What do I know-.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXisA3uWe8KYMzJvsaMkafqsV1ZX6ibNZz4giq1HD5AKy/What%20do%20I%20know-.png)\n\nSo I think we can agree that it is wonderful to not know. WOW, isn't that a relief already? If instead of always comparing yourself to how much you know, how much your neighbour knows, how much your coworker knows and start comparing yourself to how little anybody knows, suddenly the 'pressure' is gone and it seems insignificant. \nBut what do we actually know for fact? Only what each and everyone of us experience for ourselves right? I cannot know what you know unless i experienced it myself, and even then I cannot know for sure that we had the same experience...\n\nWe can only go as far as experience and live our own life. So what I'm sharing here is what I experience and I'm open to being proven 'wrong'. But where does this body come from? Is it me? I don't believe so. How did it grow? Wasn't it much smaller just couple of years ago? Wasn't it different when i started writing this article? In a nutshell to me the body is the accumulation of foods put inside of it, the food we eat, we grow hence it's an accumulation of earth over a period of time. It is in constant exchange with the air we breath and as we finally proved scientifically it's a lot of empty space. Hmmm but who's the voice up there controlling and dictating every step I do.. Who is reminding me to avoid touching fire? Who is reminding me that intimacy and commitment ends up in suffering? Who keeps reminding me that I don't like to eat liquorice and I do like to eat bananas? The mind is the accumulation of memories gathered over the past and projecting them into the future. It wants to keep me safe in my comfort zone where it can predict the outcomes of my experiences based on what I've been through in the past. What an amazing tool to have isn't it! Just don't forget that your in charge of IT and not the other way around otherwise life becomes a repetitive circle of dull experiences. Make sure to feed it new experiences on a regular basis, it might tell you not to do so since the outcome is unpredictable but that is essentially how you expand and discover the beauty of life. Simple example is this, how do you know you like pizza? You had to try it right! And that was easy, you saw everyone else eating it with a big smile on their faces so why the heck not give it a shot and before you know it your loving it. Well the same goes for taking risks in life, except that the people around us that haven't gone through them think they know and tell us how dangerous and painful it can be. But looking back over the last 12months I can honestly say that I have learned more about life, how it works, how we work in it and how we can create it than in my 17 years of \"education\". \nI don't regret these 17 years as i've learned what i needed to get to the point of dropping it all, but i wish somebody would have been real with me a bit earlier if you know what i mean. Like before committing to university and 50k of debt, if somebody would have told me that it is not NECESSARY to do this to be recognized in society, not NECESSARY to think your worth something, not NECESSARY to build your financial empire and freedom. These are things people think you need to have or like doing but that is not the case. I simply learned pure technical analysis and the magic just started happening, bit by bit things started to make sense and here I am now. \n\nI can only recommend everyone look into this amazing market, as long as fiat currencies are around this is the best way in my opinion to achieve financial freedom and pursue your passion without having to worry about bills and price tags.       "body": "very true, society has us conditioned to expect instant rewards, instant results in everything. That is not how life works, it takes time for Good things to develop. A good example is the chinese bamboo tree. The first 4 and a half years this tree does not show outside the surface, yet you have to nurture and water it daily, then within 6months it just shoots higher and higher. Forget to water it once and you can forget the result. That is a concept hard to grasp especially for the generation growing up with all this technology. In regards to the money aspect, people chase money like it represents happiness. What most don't realise is that, noone wants to be a millionaire, we just want the life of a millionaire. Is it coincidence (i dont think so) but this is exactly what has been going on in my mind for a while and ive actually just posted sth today that i would love to hear your thoughts on if you dont mind (https://steemit.com/growth/@alexandrefx/let-s-start-a-discussion-how-do-you-self-develop). \n\nFinding your passion is not easy, except for once you found it your like 'daaahhhh' how obvious. I find personally meditation and listing to what steven spielberg calls 'the whisper' extremely helpful. How do you identify or should i say differentiate the whisper from all the noise thats going on in our heads is another question, it takes practice and for every person its different. There are a few questions i like to ask myself to nuge me in the right direction, \"what would i recommend to my younger self\". This question when contemplated can bring up passions I'd forgotten I ever had. The thought process that will most likely go on in my head goes a bit like this \"i wish i'd done this; i wish i could do this, i wish i hadn't gone down that road\" and it just makes clearer what we already know deep within. \n\nanyways i could go on and on here i love exploring the mind and its limitless possibilities.       "body": "Hey Steemit community hope everyone is well.\n\nI am getting more and more into developing myself, through reading, listening and \"sometimes\" sitting and practicing some meditation. From what i learned so far, i know that i don't know a lot, or shall i say there is sooooo much more to learn that what i know looks like a fly in a football stadium haha. \n\nI am curious to hear from you what strategies you practice to sustain growth in any aspect of your life, be it spiritual, business, family, sports etc but based on what you've experienced. \n\nWhat got you started with this process? For some reason there was this whisper that i needed to explore and develop myself, look inward, and thats how i discovered buddhism. I read and read and read every book i could get my hands on but failed to even meditate for even 2min a day. I spend a lot of time with this person over that year but never felt worthy of her. Later on that summer she asks me to come and visit her whilst she was abroad and thats where it all hit me. I booked my flight, booked a few buses packed my backpack and i was on my way feeling invincible. When i got there the first couple of days were fine we caught up on what had happened in each-others lives but quickly got to a point where telling stories wasn't satisfying anymore. At some point we got into a heated discussion resulting in her asking me \"what I had to offer, what could she learn from me\", because i was learning daily from her, she was full of life experiences and lessons. That question HIT ME HARD. It was the first time I reflected on myself, after reading all this books over the past year and not doing it once. Ever since that day I realised that I'm the most important piece of work there is, and that there is no outside source of happiness. I create my reality, i create my experience, I can choose how i feel, I can ask Myself for guidance and so on. It was one of the most heartbreaking vacations I had, but instead of going with my initial response as i would usually do  \"why is this happening to me\" I am now asking myself \"what is this trying to tell me\" and the results are amazing. \n\nI've never shared this story with anyone before and doing this now as part of me having developed over time and trying to accept these events and find peace with them. \n\nFeel free to share your story, your experience, what you learned from it and lets grow together!",
