The KAL was the hosted by [Jetztkochtsieauchnoch](https://jetztkochtsie.com/),\n [FeierabendFrickeleien](https://feierabendfrickeleien.com) and [Feinmotorik](https://feinmotorik.blogspot.com/?m=1). When I knitted my [first fading point](https://www.ravelry.com/projects/AlabasterCrafting/fading-point) back in May I was delighted about the gradient fading from purple to green with yarn I bought at [yarnoverberlin](https://www.yarnoverberlin.de/). \n![20180522_065403.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXUJi6YV6HvcU21k4HFV5CkjPQZBcpwKuPRkBh7obGNwb/20180522_065403.jpg)It's a mixture of [dreamincolor](https://www.dreamincoloryarn.com) and [Malabrigo mechita](http://www.malabrigoyarn.com). It was so much fun knitting it I knew immediately I wanted to make a second one. I originally had planned to do it later this year but when the Strickelfen started their KAL I just had to start the second one because just days ago I had bought a lovely fading kit from [purlandknit](https://purlandknit.myshopify.com). It was originally planned for 7 colours but I just used five of these going from a deep blue to a bright yellow. \n![20180617_150840.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbPrHTeg2Rgz1Bv12cBpccC597kYaVaMaizqeuajzVJNT/20180617_150840.jpg)\nThe yarn was lovely to knit up and I am still in love with the colours.\n\nThe design is so much fun to knit as it's very entertaining: you are always curious to bring in the the next colour or start the next lace section. The lace part is really easy to knit up. It's an interesting construction too as you knit two parts and then join them at the end.       "body": "Sie hat recht :-D Zumindest gilt es für mich... aber ich wähle eher schnell als schön (Schande über mein Haupt) Aber wer weiß vielleicht wird mein Maschenbild ja mit der Zeit besser, ich stricke ja noch nicht so lang. Allerdings hatte ich das Problem, dass man \"Reihen\" sehen konnte. Ich habe jetzt auf eine andere Strickart gewechselt (combination knitting, keine Ahnung ob es einen deutschen Namen gibt), dass wird gleichmäßiger bei mir. Allerdings hatte ich bei meine ersten Lace Versuch eine böse Überraschung, denn man muss anscheinend Zu- und Abnahmen ganz anders machen als in der Anleitung...   ächz\nVorm Spannen habe ich irgendwie Angst, nachdem ich mir damit mal eine Häkeljacke zerstört habe, aber natürlich hast du recht, ich sollte es nochmal versuchen .\nDir noch einen schönen Sonntag abend mit weicher Wolle und schnellen Nadeln",

Ich weiß nicht ob das stimmt, aber ich stricke ohnehin lieber mit Holznadeln daher passt es für mich und den letzten Schliff bekommt es dann beim Baden und Spannen. ;-)",

I am a fan of brioche anyway so starting the turtleneck was a joyful experience and I love that the construction is seamless top down and you're completely finished once you knitted body and sleeve and don't have to pick up stitches again at the cast on.\n\n![IMG_20171217_082402_491.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcopHxTy7zbyrhnsHihjEVSAAKBMfLWW1weuzj5dixhJj/IMG_20171217_082402_491.jpg)\n\nI changed the raglan line to my usual M1R k2 M1L as I simply like it best and added a few more increases to get more ease.\n\nI opted for the waist shaping but did less decreases for the waist and added more increases to move one size up for my hips which also made the whole sweater a bit longer even though I had less rounds between the increases.\n\nThe mosaic is simply beautiful. It took me a bit to get into the rhythm of it but it's totally worth the effort. I cast on her new design [Hvide](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hvide) with the lovely Chickadee yarn from [Quince & Co](https://quinceandco.com). I chose my favourite colour purple and loved both the feel of the yarn while knitting and the seamless construction of the sweater. \n\nI especially loved the construction of the v-neck and the very smooth and elegant edging. ![20171203_140038.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmam8mEEJBcJhPsXH1hxFWNfoxLUKDZAaKjbYWGFy81Bsk/20171203_140038.jpg) It took me a little while to get into the rhythm of the short rows for the saddle shoulders but it was well worth it. Next time I might want to shorten the v-neck a bit as it is a little deeper than I like to wear it. I'll probably wear a top underneath just as in the picture. \n\nThe hem in garter stitch with a nighty degree twist was news to me and I'm utterly in love with it. The little extra curve at the bottom hem makes it even more lovely.\n\nThis sweater was an absolute joy to knit and one of my favourite projects so far.\n\nBut it was not the only project on my [needles in November](http://www.maschenfein.de/auf-den-nadeln-november/).
