Through this games I learned to speak my local language fluently and confidently the Ibibio/Efik.\n\nThis games made my childhood memory very sweet, going back to those days however, sometimes it was difficult to always join the rest of the kids because somehow, I might be still busy with my house chores being a girl child, so seeing others play without me makes me sad that's if at the end I don't join them until the games end . I recall once when my mum came with a long cane to flog me because I didn't finish my house chores before going to play 🤣, She didn't meet me anyways because I had sighted her from a distance  and I ran back home quickly .😆 \n\n These games have taught me many valuable lessons one of which is support,  there was no fighting or cheating we learned patience, we clapped for others when they win as we take turns. For me, the joy was in playing together not winning. However, I believe this violence is wrong and to me, I feel a personal responsibility to be part of the solution. \n\n\n•What is that one difficult decision you would have to make?\n\nChoosing  to speak up  or take action even though it costs  me my personal relationship or comfort. This can be difficult especially when a family member is involved  because I might want to protect the dignity or reputation of the family. Though it can be challenging, choosing to speak up for victims of GBV is an important  step towards helping the victims; it shows true commitment towards putting an end to gender based violence .\n\n•How would you explain this decision to people who disagree with you?\n\nI would focus on shared values instead of arguments. I'd respectfully  acknowledge their view so they do not feel attacked. I'd thereafter explain why staying silent might feel peaceful whereas it allows the harm to continue. I'd strive to drive home the point that  gender based violence is not just a family matter but a harm that affects real people; women and girls who are often powerless to defend themselves. \nSpeaking up against violence is about protecting lives, not destroying relationships. It can mean refusing to laugh at harmful jokes, offering support to victims, or quietly encouraging someone to get help. Since the moment I planted the mushrooms, I took care of them by watering them twice daily, and I ensured that the surroundings remained clean, cool, and humid. They contribute to strengthening the immune system, enhancing digestion, and promoting heart health. Other countries, including the United States, Japan, and several European nations, also consume a significant amount of mushrooms. In Nigeria, the popularity of mushrooms is increasing as awareness of their health benefits grows.\n\nIt might interest you to know that cultivating mushrooms can be easy and straightforward if done correctly. The easiest approach is to use mushroom bags or containers placed in a cool, dark location. In addition to mushrooms, I also plucked fresh okra from another section of the farm. Am sure you know that Okra is also beneficial for health. It aids in digestion and is rich in vitamins A and C, besides other fertility perks it holds for women.
