titleTommy Robinson arrested for reporting outside of court 13 Months prison
body[Original posted here](https://www.adinfinitumhub.com/news/2018/5/30/freetommy) 13 Months prison for filming outside courthouse UK activist, Journalist and English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson was arrested on Friday 25th of May outside of Leeds Crown Court for reporting on a paedophile grooming trial. Within four hours of his arrest, Tommy Robinson was given a 13-month prison term for contempt of court, while an hour after Robinsons less than 5-minute sentencing media outlets were banned from covering the incident by a court Gag order - with dozens of outlets removing reports which had already been published. Before their article [archived](http://archive.is/WwUjR) was removed from their site Tommy's producer told RT. “They said it was incitement and a breach of the peace." “No peace has been breached – there were two other people there and he’s been perfectly quiet talking into his phone. [The police] said nothing about the court proceedings. It’s very strange.” Disturbingly, judge Geoffrey Marson QC (who sentenced Robinson), ordered an Orwellian like blackout on the UK media - which resulted in even more publications deleting their articles from the web covering Robinson's arrest, was also filmed looking down at Tommy and his crew minutes before a squad of officers came down on him, moreover one of Tommy's crew stated that the accused Child rapists were making threatening gestures out the very same window by running their index finger across the neck. ![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmX6LojA9ymcJHAq15eqvLSKM1ptomRhzmL4pUHreNt9ho/image.png) the media restriction is set to end when the grooming trial ends - meaning the Judge, according to the statement set the gag order specifically with Tommy's proceedings in mind to perhaps ensure Tommy's case doesn't interfere with the gang rape trial but made no remark of that nature in the sentencing at all. in fact if that was the case the judge would've tailored the gag order to specifically stop the press from mentioning the gang rape trial but allowed the media to still report on Tommy's sentencing. Instead, the restriction conveniently covered Tommy's unprecedented jail sentence. this type of reporting restrictions is supposed to protect the criminal defendant from jury bias contaminating the case and inhibiting fair trial and justice - the major flaw with this is that by having this law it essentially creates a situation whereby just reporting on a court case you can be held under criminal contempt i.e arbitrally criminalizing something that isn't usually an offense. the major issue in this particular instance of having a gag order on Tommy's case is that; the proceedings have, well... already happened thereby no need for secrecy and Tommy's sentencing had no jury so no contamination was risking the case, so what was the gag order for then? download.jpg The UK For the past 40 years or so has been systematically covering up crimes like these gang rape and child trafficking cases that involved Muslim men of Pakistani origin I Have a little theory, in the UK for the past 40 years or so has been systematically covering up crimes like these gang rape and child trafficking cases that involved Muslim men of Pakistani origin out of fear of being slandered "racist" according to an internal investigation on the Police themselves. When the police do investigate and charge these offenders, the cases, hearings and sentencing's are all covered up with media Gag orders and Tommy like others try to expose these men. Tommy and Lauren southern have been working together over the last few months on a major media company, According to Lauren, capable of producing and competing with the UK's large "leftist" publications. Lauren and Tommy both believe they've been deliberately targeted in a politically motivated attack, Lauren being arbitrarily banned from the UK(along with several others) and Tommy Robinson being imprisoned, the speed at which Tommy's sentencing took was unheard of in British history. Along with Tommy's known history with the police constantly harassing him and his family and also - how the police and court acted more like the Gestapo, took Tommy away and quickly added him to the court proceedings, his friends and family couldn't locate him when he was taken to the station and later on the police said he had been released but this wasn't true, he had been arrested for breaching the peace, charged with contempt of court so that no jury was needed, Tommy's sentencing was happening while his friends and family were worried, thinking he has been released but instead he was snuck in for a quick sentencing with court appointed lawyer. ![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcQWf26sPiW9WKSzMgHoJPAvTAHGbvt2mmgnecosRGLb8/image.png) [SAS (Sikh Awareness Society) reporting outside Leeds Crown Court](https://youtu.be/PsMWABPp7eU) [See the News crew in the background?](https://youtu.be/4wOtot5z7yA?t=22) Robinson was lectured last year by Judge Heather Norton for filming outside a gang rape case in Canterbury, who gave him with a three month suspended sentence on the condition that essentially he must cease his coverage of the trials. As you can probably deduce this 3 month sentence turned into 13 months somehow, some media companies have said that the prison sentence goven out was for violating is previous suspended sentence this however is untrue, infact the judge himself remarked on this stating that Tommy was not in violation of his suspended sentence and regardless of the previous sentence he (the judge) would hand out the same sentence. “The maximum sentence for criminal contempt is two years.” — Contempt of Court Act 1981. This previous case also involved Tommy filming accused gang rapists and pedophiles where the judge had to enact a law that hasn't been used since 1925, moreover section 41 of the criminal justice act, the law itself is about protecting the jury and judge specifically rather the defendants, which everyone knows you can acting as journalist (which the judge admitted, Tommy was acting as a journalist) film defendants outside a courthouse. - These court proceedings seem as fishy as Tommy's latest one that subsequently landed him with 13 months prison. these gag laws no longer work in the 21st century - were far too connected now, for these media restrictions to work, the UK government would have to be able to prosecute not only the regular citizen filming from their phone or tweeting like Mohan Singh and Mark Vernon but Foreigner's from talking about what they "shouldn't" and if they could have such judicial power would that be ok? and if it isn't then why have these laws in the first place if they don't even work? essentially making the law itself unjust. These unjust laws have been undeservedly been allowed to permeate throughout the legal system and "regular life" for quite some time now, by judging the general indifference that has been at the core of the mainstream publications covering Tommy's arrest. These victims haven't gotten justice, they've been swept under the rug along with some of the animals that destroyed their lives, what is justice when you have judges giving out lenient sentences for convicted child rapists and even one case of complete dismissal by one judge because putting the Muslim perpetrator imprison would only further radicalize him, therefore he doesn't serve any time for his rape but Tommy Robinson is sentenced to 13 months in prison in under 5 minutes with no jury, no lawyer of his choice and no one around to tell anyone about it. for what? filming rapists going into court for sentencing, showing us that the rights of the rape gang defendants are prioritized more than Tommy's freedom. because of one clear motivation, They (members of the numerous branches of Government) see Tommy and people like Tommy as the Enemy when the real enemy is themselves. titleWhy I think Verge is bad
bodyVerge, The only Cryptocurrency that allows you to spend anonymously on "every day" wanking. Pornhub and Verge the unlikely match made in neckbeard heaven have FINALLY come out with their greatest surprise since Bitconnect didn't quite make it to the moon, Let me tell you what all that money you donated for some reason to hear the announcement that you can in the near future use Verge to pay your favorite adult actor or actress for all the hard work and effort they put into getting your rocks off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCcwn6bGUtU&feature=youtu.be I thought we'd start this expose on a lighter note as it gets sad, deceitful and rather dark as move closer and closer to the true nature of what Verge as a commodity really is like. Verge like many other coins when they first start have humble beginnings, Verge before it was known as verge was called "DogeCoinDark" it was created in 2014 and rebranded in 2016, While most of this is common knowledge at this time, however; What many may not know is that a lot of Verge's code is copied from another coin called "OpalCoin", which was a pet project of "Bitcoin Kid" a 14-year-old Cryptocurrency Dev. Stealing is bad enough but from a kid?, C'mon! This error in morals could also explain the swiss cheese-like holes in its privacy and security protocols that allowed a hacker to trick the Verges blockchain to mine their blocks at incredible speeds with a spoofed timestamp and was able to mine over 1 million dollars in verge, the Devs bless their hearts did attempt to fix the bug. . . by what seems to be that of a copy and paste fix originally made by Peercoin Devs, another decentralized coin that had similar problems with easily fudgeable timestamps, this is an image of the fixes made [here:](https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/04/05/verge-hacked-non-fix-causes-fork-devs-goes-bed-solution-tomorrow) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXEpymjQ6AWSdC3HJcYXHSyMSVpJZiWSfGZCXJKbJkjRH/image.png) Can you spot the difference? ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbSxb74r9ATtQ4ouN8wELNqU5Ubxq7uUg2a6oUUTTm96K/image.png) 15 minutes might perhaps be too long considering the Verge blocks average 30 seconds. as can be clearly seen, virtually no changes are made to it, just what seems to be nothing more than a simple copy and paste. I bet you can see where this is going, that's right it royally screwed up the blockchain due to not actually coding any patches or updates specific to Verges coin scheme the Devs inadvertently cause a hard fork that disconnected everyone from the blockchain therefore completely invalidating both the new fork and the original blockchain all in one brilliant move. You'd imagine being that very Dev who put this "fix" into place, you'd probably stress out and do your best to fix your mess, But That's not how verge Devs roll No, these Devs play it cool and get some rest before fixing the dumpster fire they initially started. At this point, some of you might think, "you're being pretty negative, man." and You'd be right in that assessment because when I find someone or something as being false, dishonest or incompetent in ways that are clearly avoidable or perhaps could be seen as deliberate, It really grinds my gears. It gets worse, As I eluded to earlier Pornhub and Verge have made some sort of partnership where viewers can use their "Privacy coin" Verge to tip or pay their favourite actors/actresses or channels in verge. besides the issue of trying to build paywalls around what has been free and widely available for quite sometime now isn't my sticking point, in fact I prefer the idea of having to pay the actors and actresses you jerk off too for their hard work and dedication to something most couldn't do, but I digress. Verge's most recent "Partnership" announcement seemed like a money grab to me, essentially the partnership for whatever reason was held at ransom for an undisclosed, vague amount of verge before being announced and on top of that even if the vague goal wasnt met the money donated would NOT be refunded but used for other projects which again isn't explained well, I am no expert in partnerships I'll admit but usually partnership announcements don't require money to be implemented let alone to be "announced" or "sped up", partnerships should be mutually beneficial and anything else should ring alarm bells, weirdly no other good reason was given, everything I found about the announcement itself was portraying it as a big deal and encouraged Verge holders to invest in this "group/community fund" and reiterated the fact that the announcement could only be made after the goal was met, what was also odd was the movements out of said fund to exchange sites further cementing my doubts. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdFZZ12Jn8Ujoc2driUEDXGFPJ8JJL9xQb5ZGQJdHbnoA/image.png) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVX3qL4tDL2t1RQBdTdpDyEYRvNseDWYyoqY6tbkybBhu/image.png) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWCwDDrYzZNV4pQC8uGGC6v1coGzrynDAodFj5pxfpBtu/image.png) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVUbKki6AFhCpLZELP4xrVnmdt7YVSKKBUe1vCRgtNrHu/image.png) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVwfjhKLXrmLrkdZ4xCYHXs8FeUJeQmuggTV1YDAMcQte/image.png) Alarm bells should be sounding off right now. While the alarm bells are going off, I thought I'd continue my incessant complaining and move on to Wraith Protocol, The highly anticipated [Verge Wraith Protocol](https://theripplecryptocurrency.com/verges-wraith-protocol/) was confirmed for release before 2018 by the developer, [Sunerok.](https://twitter.com/justinvendetta) The proposed features influenced many to invest in XVG during the lead up to the new year, expecting Verge's price to take off once the update hit. This update to the Verge cryptocurrency was promised to include more privacy options for users and Most importantly, the Wraith Protocol was meant to allow users to switch between making transactions on either a public or a private ledger, drastically increasing the potential use cases for Verge. However, once the midnight deadline passed and nobody had heard a word from the Verge team, there was Panic in the air. The word in the Twittersphere during the lead up to the new year was the Wraith protocol was smoothly sailing to its deadline and look ready to launch according to the aptly named @XVGWhale as this investor had personally met with the devs and had seen the update for themselves which of course built the hype even further. After investors waited an agonizingly long 10 minutes for a response from the Devs they finally got a tweet that stated that we're almost ready and had a "small issue" to fix, 6 quick, "bearish" hours later and the update was released but unfortunately it was very buggy, only OSX was released and another 11 hours later the windows version was released since then, numerous bugs have been found in the different versions, just 2 days after release there we over 25 major issues with protocol update, I guess it wasn't as ready as XVGWhale and the Devs originally thought. This is not the first time that the Verge team has missed a deadline; it’s not even the first time they’ve missed a deadline for the Wraith Protocol update. The New Year’s deadline marks the third time that the Verge team has failed to deliver the Wraith Protocol. The previous release date was set in November, where Sunerok had mentioned he was already compiling the beta for Wraith protocol. Oddly enough, even though the beta was ready two months ago, the eventual 2018 release failed to meet expectations. I bet you think it couldn't get any worse? well sorry but I'm about to spoil your day as the wraith protocol update didn’t even deliver what it claimed to. [Xvg.keff.org](http://xvg.keff.org/) is a website which connects to a public Verge node that records the transactions it detects. Being able to access and log transactions isn't abnormal, but the problem lies with the IP addresses being shown. As you may be aware, Verge has claimed that the Wraith Protocol would make it so that all Verge transactions are routed through the TOR network, hence hiding user IP addresses. The IP addresses are shown, unfortunately, are not TOR IP addresses – they are in fact the unhidden IPs of users. You can easily check this for yourself by visiting TOR nodes and comparing the IPs shown. With visible IP addresses, all of the other privacy features of Wraith protocol such as stealth addresses and the private ledger are essentially useless. All bitching and jokes aside, I wouldn't disparage someone in trading or in using verge, I have and I made a good bit of money from it personally, My issue is if you believe in what Verge is or trying to be then I think your being naive, I understand that my thoughts and feelings on verge can be quite negative but its for good reason, this space in this time is volatile, dangerous and anarchic. which means naive people will fall into traps, these traps don't have to be purposefully made but that doesn't make it any less painful. If you want to trade in Verge, make sure you understand how it works, like any crypto-currency you wish to invest in you have to find good sources of information, if you get anything out of my armchair-like complaining then perhaps its this recommendation, [CoinCentral.com](https://coincentral.com/) and more specifically Bennett Garner's [article](https://coincentral.com/verge-cryptocurrency-xvg-beginners-guide/) on Verge; ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdRsCazecyo5ugs1CGRtnga5FtV9hWHq4txW21thsAL8E/image.png) <blockquote>Verge is interesting insofar as it’s a decentralized, open source project. However, its lack of formal structure could also be a drawback. Most serious crypto projects these days have a foundation behind them leading development and setting a roadmap. The project also needs outside review. While many of the technologies they’re implementing have been tested elsewhere, Verge could use a dose of legitimacy from an independent source. They also don’t have the same kind of resources as their competitors in the privacy space. Monero, Z Cash, and Dash have hundreds of collaborators on their Githubs. Verge only has 12. That said, hiding IP addresses is an important frontier for blockchain anonymity. If they can solve anonymous smart contracts, that would be a unique breakthrough for the space. </blockquote> — Bennett Garner, CoinCentral It's an easy to follow, honest write up of Verge and what it is and its intended use, I recommend giving it a read to get a different opinion and a more in-depth look at Verge, don't ever take the opinion of just one person on the internet, please for the love of Netflix do your research, I cannot stress that enough. What many may not know is that a lot of Verge's code is copied from another coin called \"OpalCoin\", which was a pet project of \"Bitcoin Kid\" a 14-year-old Cryptocurrency Dev.\n\nStealing is bad enough but from a kid?, C'mon!\n\nThis error in morals could also explain the swiss cheese-like holes in its privacy and security protocols that allowed a hacker to trick the Verges blockchain to mine their blocks at incredible speeds with a spoofed timestamp and was able to mine over 1 million dollars in verge, the Devs bless their hearts did attempt to fix the bug. . . by what seems to be that of a copy and paste fix originally made by Peercoin Devs, another decentralized coin that had similar problems with easily fudgeable timestamps, this is an image of the fixes made [here:](https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/04/05/verge-hacked-non-fix-causes-fork-devs-goes-bed-solution-tomorrow) \n\n ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXEpymjQ6AWSdC3HJcYXHSyMSVpJZiWSfGZCXJKbJkjRH/image.png)\nCan you spot the difference?\n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbSxb74r9ATtQ4ouN8wELNqU5Ubxq7uUg2a6oUUTTm96K/image.png)\n15 minutes might perhaps be too long considering the Verge blocks average 30 seconds.\n\nas can be clearly seen, virtually no changes are made to it, just what seems to be nothing more than a simple copy and paste.\n\nI bet you can see where this is going, that's right it royally screwed up the blockchain due to not actually coding any patches or updates specific to Verges coin scheme the Devs inadvertently cause a hard fork that disconnected everyone from the blockchain therefore completely invalidating both the new fork and the original blockchain all in one brilliant move.\n\nYou'd imagine being that very Dev who put this \"fix\" into place, you'd probably stress out and do your best to fix your mess, But That's not how verge Devs roll No, these Devs play it cool and get some rest before fixing the dumpster fire they initially started.\n\nAt this point, some of you might think, \"you're being pretty negative, man.\" and You'd be right in that assessment because when I find someone or something as being false, dishonest or incompetent in ways that are clearly avoidable or perhaps could be seen as deliberate, It really grinds my gears.\n\nIt gets worse, As I eluded to earlier Pornhub and Verge have made some sort of partnership where viewers can use their \"Privacy coin\" Verge to tip or pay their favourite actors/actresses or channels in verge. besides the issue of trying to build paywalls around what has been free and widely available for quite sometime now isn't my sticking point, in fact I prefer the idea of having to pay the actors and actresses you jerk off too for their hard work and dedication to something most couldn't do, but I digress.\n\n Verge's most recent \"Partnership\" announcement seemed like a money grab to me, essentially the partnership for whatever reason was held at ransom for an undisclosed, vague amount of verge before being announced and on top of that even if the vague goal wasnt met the money donated would NOT be refunded but used for other projects which again isn't explained well, I am no expert in partnerships I'll admit but usually partnership announcements don't require money to be implemented let alone to be \"announced\" or \"sped up\", partnerships should be mutually beneficial and anything else should ring alarm bells, weirdly no other good reason was given, everything I found about the announcement itself was portraying it as a big deal and encouraged Verge holders to invest in this \"group/community fund\" and reiterated the fact that the announcement could only be made after the goal was met, what was also odd was the movements out of said fund to exchange sites\n\n further cementing my doubts.\n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdFZZ12Jn8Ujoc2driUEDXGFPJ8JJL9xQb5ZGQJdHbnoA/image.png)\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVX3qL4tDL2t1RQBdTdpDyEYRvNseDWYyoqY6tbkybBhu/image.png)\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWCwDDrYzZNV4pQC8uGGC6v1coGzrynDAodFj5pxfpBtu/image.png)\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVUbKki6AFhCpLZELP4xrVnmdt7YVSKKBUe1vCRgtNrHu/image.png)\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVwfjhKLXrmLrkdZ4xCYHXs8FeUJeQmuggTV1YDAMcQte/image.png)\nAlarm bells should be sounding off right now.\n\nWhile the alarm bells are going off, I thought I'd continue my incessant complaining and move on to Wraith Protocol, The highly anticipated [Verge Wraith Protocol](https://theripplecryptocurrency.com/verges-wraith-protocol/) was confirmed for release before 2018 by the developer, [Sunerok.](https://twitter.com/justinvendetta) The proposed features influenced many to invest in XVG during the lead up to the new year, expecting Verge's price to take off once the update hit. This update to the Verge cryptocurrency was promised to include more privacy options for users and Most importantly, the Wraith Protocol was meant to allow users to switch between making transactions on either a public or a private ledger, drastically increasing the potential use cases for Verge. However, once the midnight deadline passed and nobody had heard a word from the Verge team, there was Panic in the air.\n\nThe word in the Twittersphere during the lead up to the new year was the Wraith protocol was smoothly sailing to its deadline and look ready to launch according to the aptly named @XVGWhale as this investor had personally met with the devs and had seen the update for themselves which of course built the hype even further. \n\nAfter investors waited an agonizingly long 10 minutes for a response from the Devs they finally got a tweet that stated that we're almost ready and had a \"small issue\" to fix, 6 quick, \"bearish\" hours later and the update was released but unfortunately it was very buggy, only OSX was released and another 11 hours later the windows version was released since then, numerous bugs have been found in the different versions, just 2 days after release there we over 25 major issues with protocol update, I guess it wasn't as ready as XVGWhale and the Devs originally thought.\n\nThis is not the first time that the Verge team has missed a deadline; it’s not even the first time they’ve missed a deadline for the Wraith Protocol update. The New Year’s deadline marks the third time that the Verge team has failed to deliver the Wraith Protocol. The previous release date was set in November, where Sunerok had mentioned he was already compiling the beta for Wraith protocol. Oddly enough, even though the beta was ready two months ago, the eventual 2018 release failed to meet expectations.\n\nI bet you think it couldn't get any worse? well sorry but I'm about to spoil your day as the wraith protocol update didn’t even deliver what it claimed to. With visible IP addresses, all of the other privacy features of Wraith protocol such as stealth addresses and the private ledger are essentially useless.\n\nAll bitching and jokes aside, I wouldn't disparage someone in trading or in using verge, I have and I made a good bit of money from it personally, My issue is if you believe in what Verge is or trying to be then I think your being naive, I understand that my thoughts and feelings on verge can be quite negative but its for good reason, this space in this time is volatile, dangerous and anarchic. which means naive people will fall into traps, these traps don't have to be purposefully made but that doesn't make it any less painful. \n\n\nIf you want to trade in Verge, make sure you understand how it works, like any crypto-currency you wish to invest in you have to find good sources of information, if you get anything out of my armchair-like complaining then perhaps its this recommendation, [CoinCentral.com](https://coincentral.com/) and more specifically Bennett Garner's [article](https://coincentral.com/verge-cryptocurrency-xvg-beginners-guide/) on Verge; \n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdRsCazecyo5ugs1CGRtnga5FtV9hWHq4txW21thsAL8E/image.png)\n\n<blockquote>Verge is interesting insofar as it’s a decentralized, open source project. However, its lack of formal structure could also be a drawback. Most serious crypto projects these days have a foundation behind them leading development and setting a roadmap.\n\nThe project also needs outside review. While many of the technologies they’re implementing have been tested elsewhere, Verge could use a dose of legitimacy from an independent source.\n\nThey also don’t have the same kind of resources as their competitors in the privacy space. Monero, Z Cash, and Dash have hundreds of collaborators on their Githubs. Verge only has 12.\n\nThat said, hiding IP addresses is an important frontier for blockchain anonymity. If they can solve anonymous smart contracts, that would be a unique breakthrough for the space.\n</blockquote>\n\n— Bennett Garner, CoinCentral\n \n\nIt's an easy to follow, honest write up of Verge and what it is and its intended use, I recommend giving it a read to get a different opinion and a more in-depth look at Verge, don't ever take the opinion of just one person on the internet, please for the love of Netflix do your research, I cannot stress that enough. \n\nThis was originally posted to [AdInfinitumhub](https://www.adinfinitumhub.com/techtalk/2018/5/6/6w887jl9ycoxtvl8jlcgew5q5sl8pl) Please visit for more great stories and merch.\n\nTo anyone looking for a place in australia to securely purchase coins go to [Coinspot](https://www.coinspot.com.au?affiliate=3Q9TC)",

titleIs Count Dankula Free?
bodySo as you may or may not have heard, Mark Meechan a.k.a Count Dankula was not, I repeat was not sent to prison, He did however still was given an 800 pound fine for his trouble and will reportedly appeal the decision. ![DANK.jpeg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZKMEyCxWvp4Lhx1utoDu1Zu58gf3E3toA4zkijGgEm3K/DANK.jpeg) Fund Count Dankula's Court appeal here: <https://au.gofundme.com/fund-the-count-dankula-appeal> This is a relief but unfortunately still a very sad day for freedom of speech even though he avoided the prison sentence the fact that he could even be threatened by that prospect is frightening enough let alone being successfully charged and fined for a joke. I have few words to describe the feeling of seeing a right so severely trampled on is disheartening, to say the least, the fact its something so fundamental and essential as freedom of speech only makes it that much worse. I believe the west has grown soft and dull, we no longer uphold our fundamental principles, we no longer worry about tyranny from our own systems of government, when we see actual oppression from our governments subjected onto our fellow citizens our empathy is nowhere to be found. Many people think that this was justified and "right" because they don't find the value in comedy or at least they don't find value in comedy they don't like. This dangerous precedent has been set, to be offensive means to pay extra for the privilege of having that freedom. I'm morbidly pleased with the decision of the courts to not send Mark to prison, what I wonder though is what would've happened without such outcry and support from the public? Regardless of the "what ifs", what is important now is that Mark repeals this decision for not only himself but for the future victims of this horrendous law.

titleCrypto-Recommendation: Decred.
bodyDecred revolves around building an open and innovative cryptocurrency. Its main objective is to use a community-based governance model which is built on blockchain technology. It is also a cryptocurrency making use of a proof-of-work model, and many actively mine Decred. The project uses a unique hybrid system, since it uses proof-of-work and proof-of-stake. Mixing PoW(Proof of Work) with PoS(Proof of Stake) helps to create a robust currency. Allowing anyone in the world to participate in the project, without having to own expensive mining hardware makes Decred very attractive. Decred first launched in September of 2015, and the project has built up a strong reputation within the world of cryptocurrency. This is due to its clever technical features. The internal voting system, for instance, is a big benefit for Decred users. It is a democratic way to solve any future issues on the Decred blockchain, should any arise. Additionally, Decred provides immutable transaction hashes by separating transaction signatures from the rest of the transaction data itself. This is somewhat similar to what SegWit attempts to achieve in Bitcoin. Decred is also using Schnorr signatures, as well as the ability to sign transactions off-chain. This is where Decred has a leg up on Bitcoin, since the implementation of these kinds of features on the Bitcoin blockchain are unlikely to happen any time soon. An incredibly useful feature is Decred’s ability to make transactions “expire” after a certain amount of time. Transactions come with their own expiration field which, if filled in, will prevent them from being included in the blockchain after a certain block height has been reached. This ensures transactions are automatically canceled if the network were to deal with confirmation delays, for example. That is a feature most Bitcoin and even Ethereum users would appreciate on their own blockchains. Upcoming features for Decred include a stakeholder-directed DAO, decentralized control of development funds, Lightning Network support, and enhanced privacy, among other things. It is good to see the developers and community focus on new features they want implemented. All of those planned features sound exacting, and will help put Decred on the cryptocurrency map. It is a project worth following.

titleFREEDANKULA Scottish man sentenced for "Nazi Pug" joke
bodyA Scottish comedian, Mark Meechan, was found guilty of a hate crime on Tuesday for posting a video of himself on his Youtube channel, training his girlfriend’s pug, Buddha, to mimic a Nazi and respond to commands the court ruled as "anti-Semitic." ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmU7FcKnu55Bgnvxgtn9FwA3qrxK5spMiLBVkXZ3c3wxUJ/image.png) The now restricted Youtube video aptly named, "M8 Yer dugs a Nazi" shows his pug Buddha, and Meechan where he begins to explain the premise of the video, that of which the court had decided "context and intent are irrelevant" stating that he finds his girlfriend's attitude towards the lovable pup as "annoying" because "she thinks everything Buddha does is cute" and in his own words he states that he wants to play a prank on her by turning the dog into the ugliest and least cute thing he could think of, a Nazi! And who wouldn't agree with that statement? ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPQkHcnvqSRXb6GDNEPupcqe45NWDdjZUgwfyrw9SXQ4L/image.png) Now you can see why Windows skipped that version. . . This, of course, means he must train and teach the pup in the detestable art of "Sieg heiling" to the voice command of "wanna gas the Jews?" just how you'd train any dog to sit, or shake or play dead he uses the same techniques just changes the words, as much as I hate having to explain a joke (especially when its not mine to explain) its about the complete lack of awareness the adorable little pug has to the actions he's performing. Its a little dry in its execution but the results are hilarious in my view and in the opinion of 3 million + others. Of course as certain we are of the sun rising, someone was offended by the edgy prank but no official complaint to the police or UK government was ever made, the government and more specifically Scottish police decided to take action against the culprit (No they left the nazi Pug alone) Mark has since been embroiled in a criminal court case over the video for 2 years and will most likely at this point serve 12 months in prison in what many to believe as an act of being made into an example for others that like making jokes to think about whether or not the joke is worth going to prison for. You might be asking yourself, "Why was Meechan targeted specifically? many people make offensive videos and posts in the UK" and you'd be correct, in 2015 alone 1,209 people were found guilty of offenses under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 - equivalent to three every day. many media organizations also upload, redistribute and expose these "hate crimes" to a worldwide audience, if hate speech is there to stop hate from spreading and "Context and intent are irrelevant", how does this work when news and media are reporting on offensive videos and hate? For instance, you most likely will not find Meechan's original video as it has been banned and hidden away, placed in a "restricted state" but re-uploads of the same video from large news operations like, Vice, BBC, Fox, CNN, WSJ, HuffPo etc. have the video in full, playing, continuously replaying the video to millions and millions of people giving the "hate" a bigger platform. My question to these supporters of Hate crime and blasphemy laws is simple, what do you plan to do about this? your laws aren't working as intended in fact if anything its just made it worse for everyone, including you. Even though in the court decision it was clear the judge did not want to take the context of Meechan's video into account as this was clearly intended to be a joke or prank at his girlfriend's expense, you'd think at this point the only real victim here could be his girlfriend? funnily enough, she didn't report him to the police, the government decided to act on its own accord and try him for a hate crime against the crown itself - considering the video itself was in-fact a disparagement of Nazism. makes you think why the crown felt offended? are they Nazis? if not why were they offended? Some might argue "well he was found guilty of being anti-Semitic " and I would say in my best imitation of Mark, "Do you wanna gas the Jews son?". Now I can be tried for a hate crime since the crown finds "context and intent are irrelevant" this means any and all mentions of Jews, 1920 -1945, Germany, Camps, Gas, Concentration, Holocaust, Nazi, and Hitler. is considered at worst a hate crime and at best an unreported hate crime, all it takes is for someone or the government to find it and become "grossly offended" and that's it. you'll be taken to court too. Think about that next time you see John Cleese Goose step or watch a historical documentary, read an old book, watch a prank on youtube. You could be committing a grossly offensive hate crime. . . Ad Infinitum ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmV48M48uEbB5LmgZ8vm2q8wL52pjwii8BzBGQJk2f9DFM/image.png) Look at Führer's Lil helper!

titleAlexander the Great's and Cleitus' quarrel.
bodyleitus or Cleitus the Black, was the Commander of Alexander's royal squadron of companion cavalry, Cleitus is a friend of Alexander's father Philip and according to Plutarch "Cleitus has a naturally surly person with a bad temper" which could be partly responsible for Cleitus's demise. Clietus had saved Alexander's life at the Battle of Granicus (334 BC) where Alexander was personally under attack by Rhoesaces and Spithridates, Cleitus severed Spithridates's arm before the Persian satrap could bring it down on Alexander Cleitus was killed by Alexander in 328 BC as a result of a drunken argument that got out of hand, the incident reveals stresses about Alexander's Oriental policies due to the initial argument was about the mistreatment of Macedonians compared to the foreigners that Alexander was "Placating" to. what caused this drunken argument was that Alexander gave orders to Cleitus to take 16,000 troops of the defeated Greek mercenaries who fought for the Persian King before being defeated by Alexander and turning coats, to be sent north to fight the steppe nomads in Central Asia. Cleitus saw this as a slight because he would no longer be near the King and perhaps even be forgotten, Cleitus voiced his frustrations and Alexander instead of trying to adhere to Cleitus boasted about his accomplishments and that they were far greater than that of his father (king Philip II), Cleitus responded to Alexander's remarks with something equally unwise in its approach by claiming Alexander was in fact not the legitimate king of the Macedonians, and his achievements were all because of his father and what he had inherited at this point Alexander called for his guards, unfortunately the guards were reluctant to intervene in quarrel between friends. Alexander threw an Apple at Cleitus' head and then called for dagger or spear, but the group around the two men promptly removed any weapons from their reach and restrained Alexander and removed Cleitus from the room. The Hypaspists (royal guards) had left the vicinity of Alexander which at this point Alexander called for his trumpeter to summon the arm, the alarm was not sounded, Cleitus managed to return to the room and further throw insults and slurs towards Alexander, some sources disagree that Cleitus ever left the room but regardless at this point of the quarrel Alexander got a hold of a javelin and threw in it Cleitus's heart. Alexander spent the rest of that night and the rest of the next day sobbing in deep remorse until his friend forced their way into the room where he lay in silence and exhausted Alexander paid no attention to what they had said to him except for when Aristander the diviner reminded him of the dream he had concerning Cleitus and its significance, told him that these events had long been obtained by fate, this seemed to stick with Alexander and accepted this assurance. Despite this incident Alexander was determined to pursue his foreign policy, if anything the tragedy of that night spurred Alexander on to uniting his new nation even more so.

titleCryptocurrency - A long way from home
bodyAs I am a complete novice to cryptocurrencies I must advise not to take anything I say here too seriously because honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing. Lets start with the beginning, I've only very recently found an interest in cryptocurrencies. My whole life I never really cared about money or how it worked, I just saw how greedy and desperate people get when it comes to money but since then I've grown to see the importance of money and how vital a strong, stable currency is to keep our civilizations working but i digress. I first heard of bitcoin in 2015 on the Joe Rogan experience with Andreas Antonopoulos, It was a fascinating conversation, it made me think about the future and my place in it, at the time I didn't 'do' anything upon hearing about bitcoin the coins were expensive (for me at the time) and I couldn't really justify such a purchase. Several years pass by I hear stirrings of bitcoin and other crypto currencies but nothing that really brought home what this technology was and the potential here, its not until last month while I was looking for lending services and came across people lending coins on online platforms which until this point I had not come across something offering or even just facilitate use of a crypto currency between people and for some reason it clicked, just seeing the technology in action was all I needed to see before I was onboard. The First coin I bought was Litecoin, I bought it through Coinspot and I found Coinspot to be awesome due to the amount of initial security that at first annoyed me but once I had identified myself and my account was activated I felt pretty secure in knowing that at the very least I can trust that I'll get the coins I paid for. The fee's are pretty high in my opinion but I gladly take on that burden for a secure company run by my fellow countrymen (Australia), The exchange uses the Poli payment system, which allows you to login to your AU bank account (most Aussie banks are on the list) through a secured gateway and transfer funds into your trading account. I bought my first Litecoin for about $70 (50-55 USD) and now its about $90 - $100 AUD, I didn't buy it outright I did the smart thing and bought my way upto a whole litecoin due to my paranoia and distrust for the crypto-market which incidently did work out as there is constant fluctuations with ALL cryptocurrencies (keep that in mind when you buy the more expensive coins), on an interesting note I kept well away from buying Bitcoin or Ethereum and I'm questioning whether this was the correct decision or the hipster douche in me not wanting to do what everyone else is doing. My next coin of interest way NEM or (New Economy Movement), I liked NEM for the strategy around "mining" where instead you collect a sort of interest over time with the coins purchased, depending on the amount you hold you can become a node and collect even more interest, NEM using a system called Proof of Importance (POI). Proof of Importance is one of NEM’s major innovations in the blockchain industry. It’s a novel algorithm that uses network theory to assign a rating of each account’s importance in the network. Many other blockchains use Proof of Work (POW) or Proof of Stake (POS) to allocate rewards. With POW, those who can afford the most powerful computing arrays have an unfair advantage over other users. These POW systems also consume excessive amounts of energy, harming the environment and burdening miners with expensive power bills. POS gives an unfair advantage to coin hoarders. The more coins they keep in their accounts, the more they earn. This means the rich get richer and everyone has an incentive to save coins instead of spending them. At this point in time I'd like to just apologize for not being able to fully articulate the mechanisms that I prefer in my altcoins, I'm very new to this and I want to stress this, I don't know what I'm doing. I honestly think no one knows what they're doing, especially when it comes to cyrptocurrencies. as you probably know there's a lot of reading involved when it comes to understanding how these coins operate so just bare with me while I stumble my way to hopefully some plateau of understanding before I get lost again, lets continue. I've purchased 80 or 90 NEM at the price of $0.20 per NEM coin, since then I've watched this coin fluctuate and move from 0.20 to 0.26, slow but steady, I feel this is a good sign of legitimate growth as opposed to inflation due to hype which seems to affect the market a little too much for my liking. I think another altcoin worth mentioning is IOTA, I think IOTA is my favorite purchase because like anyone who spends about 5mins researching IOTA you notice that there's no transaction fee's, like at all. . . But wait there's more, so I purchased IOTA for less than $0.50 and now it's risen to over a dollar, a little too quickly so it will go down but when you check your wallet to see that your purchase has doubled in the matter of a few days is an exhilarating feeling. I think overall the "philosophy" if that's what you can call it that I'm following is that of investing in systems that I believe in and at the very least can see future potential in, so far what I've found in the crypto world is not a surprise to many as these coins are the obvious game changers and the fact these currencies are in the top 20 of the thousands being developed is a testament to their potential. I think the market recently has had a surge of new people like me, I've personally received requests and questions on the topic of how and what to buy in the Cyrpto-sphere, I have links to coinspot if you would like to join and yes these links are attached to their affiliate program so if you do want to join but would also like to do me a solid at no extra cost to you, please click the link and follow the prompts but if not there's plenty of others, another I'd recommend is Coinbase the only major downside with coinbase is that they exclusively hold Bitcoin Ethereum and Litecoin and nothing else. Any questions or concerns just comment below and I'll get back to you asap. Thank you for your time and happy collecting!
