| title | NASA's DISCOVERY : ALIEN SOLAR SYSTEM |
| body | Hello Steemians, A very good afternoon to you all. I hope you all are doing well with your family, friends and dear ones. Today I bring my new post on an Alien Solar System with as many planets as our own solar system announced by NASA. It is a revolutionary discovery which may take part in deciding future of our world and in future we may be Steeming in a much smarter way with the amazing technologies based on latest inventions. Lets see what the Alien Solar System announced by NASA is all about!! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ [***NASA's***](https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_876.html) huge Announcement has been made and no we did not pick up a call from ET nor did we find any clear sign of alien life. We did however find our solar system that has as many planets as our own which could mean extra-terrestrial life-forms but the big news isn't just about the discovery itself is about how it was discovered.
http://www.latest-ufo-sightings.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/nasa-aliens.png

[***Source***](http://www.latest-ufo-sightings.net/2014/09/nasa-planet-hunters-estimate-find-alien-life-20-years.html)
You see we already knew that the [***Kepler 90 star***](https://www.space.com/39032-nasa-alien-planet-kepler-discovery-announcement.html) which is located about twenty-five hundred light years away has a planetary system similar to ours. We know it has at least seven planets Orbiting it into. Now with the help of [***Google's Artificial Intelligence***](https://ai.google/) technology a new planets [***Kepler 90***](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasas-kepler-mission-announces-largest-collection-of-planets-ever-discovered) has been discovered this means that the **Kepler 90 System*** has just as many planets as our own solar system. Now the thing is we already knew about the new planets because it was detected by the **Kepler space telescope** but it was buried within a huge amount of data so a computer was instructed to comb through data from Kepler and look for possible planets and this is where Google comes in because this is the same tools used by Google to do things like identify cats where dogs after just was put into place.
https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/thumbnails/image/kepler_all-planets_may2016.jpg

[***Source: NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasas-kepler-mission-announces-largest-collection-of-planets-ever-discovered)
The computer did find something that was interesting and it turn out to be a new planet. According to Paul hers director of [***NASA's Astrophysics Division***](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasas-kepler-mission-announces-largest-collection-of-planets-ever-discovered) in **Washington** just as we expected there are exciting discoveries lurking in our archived **Kepler Data** waiting for the right tool or technology to unearth them this finding shows that our data will be a treasure trove available to innovative researchers for years to come. Now you might be thinking okay we have the data how come we can't read it and that's basically because **Kepler** has four years’ worth of data consisting of thirty-five thousand possible planetary signals and it's just impossible for people to look through especially when many of the signals are fairly weak but that's where **Google's** technology comes in and here's how it works!!
https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/images/183095main_image_feature_ys_876_full.jpg

[***Source: NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_876.html)
According to **NASA** first they trained the **Neural Network** to identify transistor exo-planets using a set of 15,000 previously vetted signals from the Kepler exo-planets catalog in the test set the neural network correctly identified the true planets in false positives ninety-six percent of the time then with the neural network having learned to detect a pattern of transistor exo-planets. The researchers directed their model to search for weaker signals in 600 the starch systems that already had multiple known planets their assumption was that multiple planet systems would be the best place to look for more exo-planets.
https://youtu.be/e0czO2z0WbU

[***Source: YOUTUBE***](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0czO2z0WbU)
According to Andrew Vandenberg who was part of the team that trained the computer and have got lots of false positives of planets but also potentially more real planets it's like shifting through rocks to find a jewels. If you have a finer sieve then you will catch more rocks but you might catch more jewels as well and here's why researchers are really excited about this announcement!! Because there are still a lot of data to be processed which means that new worlds and even possibly new solar systems could be hiding in the data that they have already collected so what else may be the next big announcements by NASA may actually have something to do with aliens anyway…. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ **REFERENCES:** [***NASA's WEBSITE***](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasas-kepler-mission-announces-largest-collection-of-planets-ever-discovered) [***YOUTUBE***](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0czO2z0WbU) [***SPACE NEWS***](https://www.space.com/39032-nasa-alien-planet-kepler-discovery-announcement.html) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ **I hope you enjoyed learning about Alien Solar System. | title | NASA's DISCOVERY : Massive 75,000 Mile Wide Hole in The SUN |
| body | **Hello Steemians, I hope you all are fine with your family, friends and dear ones. Today I bring my new post on [***NASA's***](https://www.nasa.gov/) DISCOVERY : Massive 75,000 Mile Wide Hole in The SUN**. **It is a revolutionary discovery which may take part in deciding future of the world and the entire humankind. Lets see what all [***NASA's***](https://www.nasa.gov/) DISCOVERY : Massive 75,000 Mile Wide Hole in The SUN is all about !!** _______________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hey guys I am back with couple of interesting discoveries this week and they're both about [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/). First of all [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) found a massive **75,000 mile** wide hole and the hole is in the **Sun**. So, if that sunspot was a sinkhole and if the earth was a car; it will fall right in. Also this colossal **Sun's** is so big that [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) even gave it a name [***AR2665***](https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/news/view/290/20170801-ar2665-returns-coronal-hole-faces-earth). Now the problem with this giant sunspot is that it's capable of producing [***Solar Flares***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_flare) that could cause radio blackouts here on earth.

In this convening potential radiation storm, the disabling of our **Communication Satellite**, our **GPS** and even electricity shortages in some areas. According to [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) a new sunspot group has wrote in an interview it seems to be growing rather quickly. Such sunspots are a common occurrence on the Sun but are less frequent. As we head toward [***Solar Minima***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_minimum) which is the period of low solar activity during its regular approximately you live in your cycle. This sunspots is the first to appear after the **Sun** was spotless for **2 days** and it is the only sunspots group at this moment like freckles on the face of a **Sun**. They appear to be small features but size is relative the dark core of the sunspots is actually larger than **Earth**.
https://www-b.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/images/largesize/PIA21873_hires.jpg

[***Source : NASA***](https://www-b.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=PIA21873)
Now if you don't know what sunspots are they're basically the cooler areas on the **Sun** and they are caused by interactions with the **Sun's** magnetic field. So the more intense the magnetic activities, the more likely sunspots tend to appear and here's the problem when all that energy is released solar flares in storms erupt which are essentially massive solar is a [***Coronal Mass Ejection : CME***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronal_mass_ejection). In a really powerful one could even send us back to the dark ages. In fact on **July 12 2002** you know the year; the world was supposed to end earth had a really close a near miss with a giant [***Solar Flares***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_flare) or [***Coronal Mass Ejection : CME***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronal_mass_ejection) and this was a product of the most powerful storm on the Sun in over a hundred and fifty years and the reason you didn't know was because well no one tell us so I guess we just kind of all literally slept through that one and the thing is if we would have received a direct hit from that one; it could have knocked out all power on earth for not just hours or days but years.
https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/images/news/290-header.jpg

[***Source : AR2665***](https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/images/news/290-header.jpg)
Now imagine that two-hour blackout you experienced I mean that was already pretty enough right with no internet no iPhone. But imagine a complete **global blackout** for years that could mean the destruction of our social water and maybe even our entire civilization. So yes we did dodged a bullet but don't feel too relieved just yet because according to **physicist Pete Riley** who published a paper titled on the [***Probability of Occurrence of Extreme Space Weather Events***](http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2011SW000734/abstract); he calculated that the odds of a solar storm is strong enough to disrupt our lives in the next **10 years** is around **12 percent**. Now **12 percent** might not seem that high to you and it's not if you're playing a game of paper-rock-scissors. But if someone told you that you could potentially win the lottery and the chance of you winning at **12%** you buy a ticket right away!!
https://www-b.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/images/largesize/PIA21874_hires.jpg

[***Source : NASA***](https://www-b.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=PIA21874)
So, yeah looking forward to good things to come next up; we've been hearing for years about [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) and his grand plans of sending people to **Mars** and how we're all going to live there one day and have little **human Martian babies** and how **Earth** is pretty much on his last legs and **Mars** is one of our only hopes for survival of being kind. But here's the thing [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) just announced that well it really can't afford to send anybody there. Anyway, according to [***Associate Administrator of Human Exploration and Operations “William Gerstenmaier”***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_H._Gerstenmaier) he can't put a date on humans on **Mars** and the reason really is at the budget levels we described this roughly **2%** increase. They don't have the [***Surface Systems***](https://ntrs.nasa.gov/search.jsp?R=20150019647) available for **Mars**. He also said that although they don't have the money now but they could have it in the future and also that [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) is exploring **Moon Missions** including establishing a base on the **Moon**.
https://youtu.be/q8Fx2ZwyUtM

[***Source : AR2665***](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8Fx2ZwyUtM)
He said if they find out that there's water on the **Moon** and they want to do more extensive operations on the moon to go explore that they have the ability with deep-space gateway to support an [***Extensive Moon Surface Program***](https://airandspace.si.edu/explore-and-learn/topics/apollo/apollo-program/apollo-results/). If they want to stay focused more towards **Mars** they can keep that so. I guess living on the **Moon** or living on **Mars** same right? I mean either way we're going to be living in some sort of **Space Colony** and I just you know walking around breathing room or **Mars** air. I guess the views different. So yeah it's **Depressing Space Story** day? We just found out we're too broke to go to **Mars** and a [***Solar Flares***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_flare) may come in the next **10 years** and fryers. Yeah I'm depressed but let me know what you guys think of these stories and if you have to choose between living on the **Moon** and living on **Mars** which one would you pick? So let me throw another of what if scenario at you guys what if tomorrow [***Solar Flares***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_flare) hits knocks out all our power? No electricity on earth for years what's the first thing you would do let me know in the comments below !! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ **REFERENCES:** [***SPACE WEATHER LIVE : AR2665***](https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/news/view/290/20170801-ar2665-returns-coronal-hole-faces-earth) [***NASA***](https://www.nasa.gov/) [***Coronal Mass Ejection : CME***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronal_mass_ejection) [***YOUTUBE***](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWcDnXDiIQc) [***WIKIPEDIA : Solar Flares***](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_flare) [***Probability of Occurrence of Extreme Space Weather Events***](http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2011SW000734/abstract) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ **I hope you enjoyed learning about LATEST SPACE MISSIONS OF 2018 : ISRO. | title | Blue moon, supermoon, total lunar eclipse rolled into one |
| body |
https://cdn.hpm.io/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/29135844/DUu7tWYXUAAa_1J-1000x500.jpg
On Wednesday, much of the world will get to see not only a blue moon and a supermoon, but also a total lunar eclipse, all rolled into one. There hasn’t been a triple lineup like this since 1982 and the next won’t occur until 2037. The eclipse will be visible best in the western half of the U.S. and Canada before the moon sets early Wednesday morning, and across the Pacific into Asia as the moon rises Wednesday night into Thursday. The U.S. East Coast will be out of luck; the moon will be setting just as the eclipse gets started. Europe and most of Africa and South America also will pretty much miss the show. A blue moon is the second full moon in a month. A supermoon is a particularly close full or new moon, appearing somewhat brighter and bigger. A total lunar eclipse — or blood moon for its reddish tinge — has the moon completely bathed in Earth’s shadow. “I’m calling it the Super Bowl of moons,” lunar scientist Noah Petro said Monday from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Others prefer “super blue blood moon.” Either way, it’s guaranteed to impress, provided the skies are clear. The moon will actually be closest to Earth on Tuesday — just over 223,000 miles (359,000 kilometers). That’s about 1,500 miles (2,400 kilometers) farther than the supermoon on Jan. 1. Midway through Wednesday’s eclipse, the moon will be even farther away — 223,820 miles (360,200 kilometers) — but still within unofficial supermoon guidelines. While a supermoon is considered less serious and scientific than an eclipse, it represents a chance to encourage people to start looking at the moon, according to Petro. “I’m a lunar scientist. I love the moon. I want to advocate for the moon,” he said. Throw in a blue moon, and “that’s too good of an opportunity to pass,” according to Petro. As the sun lines up perfectly with the Earth and then moon for the eclipse, scientists will make observations from a telescope in Hawaii, while also collecting data from NASA’s moon-circling Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, launched in 2009. Just like the total solar eclipse in the U.S. last August cooled the Earth’s surface, a lunar eclipse cools the moon’s surface. It’s this abrupt cooling — from the heat of direct sunlight to essentially a deep freeze — that researchers will be studying. Totality will last more than an hour. “The moon is one of the most amazing objects in our solar system,” Petro said. “It really is the key to understanding the solar system, through interpreting the geology and surface of the moon.” NASA plans to provide a live stream of the moon from telescopes in California and Arizona, beginning at 5:30 a.m. EST. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ **REFERENCE** * https://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/lunar.html |
