| title | Cardano and the perfect Elliott Wave structure! |
| body | If you've been in my trading group, or read a previous post you'll know that I don't care too much for 1-5 counts when counting the waves or #ElliottWaves as most know them. In this situation, I'm going to count these bad boys! All 10 and a half of them! I'm not going to the smallest "minuscule" waves, as they're pretty much irrelevant to how I analyze and trade! Let's go a head and get this done by the BOOK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1vm4mYqbWM funny time is over, let's go! Impulse wave: 1 Correction wave: 2 This is when I first started tracking #Cardano with my group Trading the Impulse. I'll post the link at the bottom of the page! I looked into their project, checked out the #whitepaper, realized who Charles Hoskinson is, watched a ton of IOHK's whiteboard videos and then planned the attack. I noticed a decent move up which I thought was an Impulse. It was already correcting when I first started tacking it. That's my bread and butter. We were in process of the B wave and I was ready for it to make at minimum one more drop for a C wave before trending again. Typically I'll start the entry at the .618 if what I'm thinking is an impulse, is an impulse. Which it was! (the fibbed portion is the impulse) Check out what happened next! Impulse wave: 3 Correction wave: 4 BOOM! An impulse happened! These are the moves that I'm rather fancy of. The make the money! This particular move was just shy of gettin' to the 200% fib extension! Not a bad move at all! My whole strategy begins with an impulse. I chose this style because to me it's the least subjective. If I can identify an impulse & correction, eventually I'll be able to trade the next impulse! Now on to the next correction! This one started coming down. I had an up and down projection for this at the time. Sometimes it's hard to tell when a impulse will end, this could have just been a small correction like in the next impulse that just kept going. This ended up coming down a bit more to complete the C wave. Let's get a fib on that piece & view what happened! So we came down to finish the C wave close to the 50% fib and made a small degree impulse up (first white arrow) Making that smaller move up plus the sideways consolidation seemed like a sweet buying signal. I was looking for another impulse! Impulse wave: 5 of 1 & just like that the buyers outweighed the sellers and the bulls brought it home! This one fell short of the 161% fib extension. After this impulse we started coming down pretty hard. This was a good sign that the first 5 wave impulse is completed. Currently we're moving sideways! I think we should check this piece out next! Impulse: A Correction: B Now I'm confident we're making the larger ABC structure. In corrections A is an Impulse, B is a correction and C is another impulse. The first move down corrected more than 61.8% of the 5 wave bull run and now we're sitting sideways. This to me is looking like a B wave to continue one more down for the C wave before resuming the trend. There's always a chance I'm wrong, so if the correction is over and we start the trend again, I will buy when a buy setup comes along. There's been a few already but per my rules I'm not allowed to buy again yet. (still hodling this from the very first chart I made) I'm just playing the waiting game at the moment. If I see the C wave start to come I may scale back a little out of the position and wait for my next buy signal. If I start to see the C wave I will make a comment on this post about it! I wanted to thank everyone that took the time to read this, and if you've been having trouble counting the waves, this might help a bit. If you enjoyed the post leave me some love! What are your views on Cardano? Technically or fundamentally? I love hearing/seeing others views! Trading the Impulse: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1895958077333696/ This is not investment advice, just my opinion on the market using wave analysis! Trade Responsibly, -Adam Biers |

| title | Is Verge on the Verge of breaking out? |
| body | #XVG exploded about a month ago over 2000% and it looks like we're starting to correct that previous move. There's been alot of hype and #FUD on this one. Will the technicals prevail through the midst of fear, uncertainty, and doubt? Looking at the #Fibonacci retrace tool, we can see that price has almost came down to the 88.6% correction level. This is getting pretty low! There's another clue that is telling me upside is likely. We're about to look at that! We're getting quite a bit of divergence on the #MACD This is a sign of selling momentum is loosing steam. If this is the case we should see impulses start to happen to the upside! Looking at the lower time frame, it still looks like it's correcting for the next impulse. This can always make a 4th and 5th corrective wave, or become more complex before going. | title | 3 & 5 wave structures, trends & corrections, trading the impulse, and my view on Elliott Wave! |
| body | Every aspiring Elliottician has the 1-5 ABC count burned in their brains ever since they read the overview in babypips or other basic articles on the theory! I firmly believe drawing 12345ABC all over the charts on every time frame will start to frustrate you. I know this based on personal experience, and I'll touch on that in this post! The one thing we can all agree on is that the markets move in waves, but can we all agree on the way to read into the waves? Probably not, there are many different theories that suggest a way to identify the waves. Wyckoff theory with the waves of distribution and accumulation... Dow theory which suggests that markets move in 3 wave up and 3 waves... Elliott wave theory, where you have 5 waves when trending and 3 waves when correction for the "perfect elliott cycle" plus a good amount of rules and guidelines that will help with identifying the patterns... What I've come to find is that nothing is perfect. Motive (trending) 3 and 5 wave structures both exist. I'll be going over them in this post! Current analysts owe a lot of credit to the people before us that had to chart free hand on paper & make a call on a rotary phone to place a trade. They gave us a treasure map with all the right directions to get to the land of milk and honey. In this post I'm going to go over a few 3 & 5 wave structures both trending and correcting, some alternative ways to look at them, and how to know if the market is trending or correcting! The first impulse on #XRP was a solid 5 wave structure that peaked around $.40. After that we went into a #doublethree corrective structure. Many people in message boards we're saying this was dead, it's not going anywhere anytime soon! This is where reading into the structure will help ya'! Let's take a look at the next 5 wave structure in this chart. The next one isn't a trending structure, but a corrective structure! This was the setup that started it now take a look at the piece that came after that. The #triangle! After the 3 wave impulse/connecting three we started trading within a trend where the bottom and top trend lines start converging! It's almost impossible to forecast a triangle will happen, but as it starts happening you should be able to see it after the 3rd wave doesn't give you the impulse! Especially if you have converging trend or something that fits the description of a triangle. Types of triangles that happen: #ExpandingTriangles, (expanding trend, can also be expansion on a flat) #SymmetricalTriangles (contracting trend) and #BarrierTriangles I realized it was a triangle at almost the last minute, but was able to setup an order on XRPETH at the low of the chart. What happened after the corrective triangle completed!? A 1000%+ impulse! It seems like those are the moves that make the money! Triangles I haven't noticed a ton, but there is one on the EURUSD chart and also the Copper charts! Check em' out and leave a comment if you see where they are! :) Let me show you an alternate count on this, is it possible it's just a big three wave structure? I mentioned in a previous post that both 5 wave and 3 wave motive (trending) structures exist. Could this end up being that way? I honestly don't know, I don't have a crystal ball, but I can show you a 3 wave motive structure on another chart! Take a look at the EUR/GBP chart. We have a 4000 pip impulse that had only 3 waves! What kind of non sense is this?! There's no way I see 5 waves in that. I see an impulse a correction and another impulse! This is a good example of why I don't follow the Elliott Wave Principle religiously! I'm very confident we will see more patterns like this! Elliott did see 3 wave impulses in a 5 wave structure which we refer to as a diagonal! So maybe its not too crazy to think a 3 wave pattern can be a motive impulse... hmmmm Could dow theory have some value with the whole 3 wave up 3 wave down methodology? Now take a look at another 5 wave structure on #Cardano chart! #ADA had a nice 5 wave impulse that peaked around .0014 eth! Now we're starting the correction phase. The correction phase is the most important to understand. When a market is trending the 1-5 wave count will work like a charm. When we're correcting the 1-5 ABC counts will only make you have a bad time! Why? Lets see! You can see that when you're in a correction trying to count 5 waves is no easy task. This for me is what I had the biggest problem with when I first started learning about the waves! I'd see people posting all the time 1-5 counts everywhere. When I tried it almost never fit how it was supposed to, or I started fixing the charts to somehow make it work..... It actually didn't work! If you're finding yourself having the same problem, try and zoom out and instead of counting waves, try and figure out the patterns price is making. The whole concept isn't making 5 wave counts, but identifying the patterns price is making. As long as you can find a correction and a trend, it should all fall into place! Now how do you identify trends and corrections? We're about to get to that playa! #Stellar #XLM will be our next wave to ride! Trend lines are perfect for trends! It's in the name! Trends will typically follow some short of rhythm of the trend line, until they swerve and decide to break out the trend! Hey, that sounds like a way to identify if you're trending or correcting? Why yes, yes it is. A lot of times when price breaks through the trend it will start a correction. Does that mean I take the trade right then and there? Hell nah, you need some type of confirmation. That to me would be a flag or whatever you'd like to call those smaller corrections! tons of times a flag will happen after a structural breakout. This is my confirmation of the trade. You can start to notice setups happen a little bit before the confirmation. These I'm find with as well, they require better discipline as they're more risky! Now is a good time for another clue on whether we're trending or correcting! This correction lasted 41 days before the next impulse started! This correction lasted 21 days and wasn't complex! Can you see that the correction is time consuming? It's like going to the #DMV! note that the impulse is price consuming! It's eating up all the resistance in the path. The impulses are when price moves away from the zone, when the orders are thin after everyone's tired of buying and selling. These are the trades that I want to be a part of... not the trades that stay sideways for a month! This is what made me stop believing in #SupportandResistance in the conventional way! When the impulse starts it wont respect horizontal lines. They're meant to be broken! Now currently we have a larger trend break and making a pattern. This could be a sign that will tell me we're going lower. After breaking out of the larger trend and consolidating, there's a good chance that this is making the larger degree correction. If my count is correct I'm expecting this to carry on sideways and down for a bit longer. Over the next few weeks I will know if I suck and got it wrong, Or I'm right and glad I didn't buy now! After breaking the A wave low, I will look for a setup. This is where I'm going to enter another position on XLM! Thanks for taking the time to read this post! I hope this provided some more value when it comes to wave analysis. Keep in mind that this is not investment advice, this is just a practical way I use wave analysis to analyze the market! As always, Trade responsibly! -Adam Biers P.S. call me crazy but this looks like a bunch of 3 wave structures building up a 5 wave structure! maybe it's a leading diagonal! |

| title | BTC, the correction continues... |
| body | #Corrections like these are like walking in purgatory. No one knows whats going on. Half of the people think it's bearish and ready to die, the other half #moon & #lamboz. Currently I'm still with the second choice. Previous post I made I had a markup on BTC going up, which it did for that short period of time on the breakout of the lower degree flat pattern. Now looking at the larger picture I'm thinking this might make one more low before we get the next impulse. I made two different projections. If the red one happens there's always a chance it's just larger A wave to another ABC before we get the Z (5TH) wave of the correction. If I start to see the red option I'll make another post on it. If the green happens everyone will already be in their #lambo so it doesn't really matter ;) As always, this is not investment advice, just a practical way I use wave analysis to look at the market! Post your views if you have some! :) Trade responsibly, -Adam Biers |

Currently I'm still with the second choice.\n\n\n\nPrevious post I made I had a markup on BTC going up, which it did for that short period of time on the breakout of the lower degree flat pattern. Now looking at the larger picture I'm thinking this might make one more low before we get the next impulse. \n\nI made two different projections. If the red one happens there's always a chance it's just larger A wave to another ABC before we get the Z (5TH) wave of the correction. If I start to see the red option I'll make another post on it. If the green happens everyone will already be in their #lambo so it doesn't really matter ;)\n\nAs always, this is not investment advice, just a practical way I use wave analysis to look at the market! Post your views if you have some! :)\n\nTrade responsibly,\n\n-Adam Biers",

| title | Tronix, corrective structure. Will we get another run? |
| body | Wanted to take a look at TRX because of the hype that has been going on with it. Tons of FUD, tons of hype, tons of fun? We seen quite the impressive move a couple weeks ago and then quite an impressive correction! Let's take a look! We're getting some bullish divergence, This is always a good sign IMO. I'm going to make a post about impulse moves eventually. The Impulse move from .000041 was pretty quick and now we're correcting that move. This has been a slow and painful drop for many people compared to how fast it went up! When I take a look at the lower time frame it definitely looks like more upside is likely to come! Even if this piece becomes just a larger correction in the downtrend we should have a decent move up. Right now I'm feeling optimistic about Tron. Drop a comment and let me know what you're thinking! This is not investment advice, just my views of using the concept of the Elliott Wave Principle to forecast markets! Trade Responsibly, -Adam Biers |

| title | Crypto, flat corrections, and the fractal nature of progression. An overview of "flat" corrections. |
| body | I've talked to a lot of people that have said it's impossible to forecast markets, many people will say that technical analysis will never work, and you need to focus on fundamentals. I will agree that fundamentals will drive the market, but is there a way to not need to focus on them, or completely disregard them when it comes to trading/forecasting? In my opinion the answer is yes, there are ways to accurately predict movements in the market. Something that I've noticed by studying charts for the last two years is that there are patterns that repeat themselves time and time again. In this post I'm going to focus on the "flat" pattern & the fractal nature of the pattern. This pattern was first realized by Ralph Nelson Elliott in the 1930's. We won't get too deep into Elliott's discovery in this post, I'm going to save that for a later date. If you have yet to read about his analytical theory, I highly recommend picking up the Elliott Wave Principle. (If you're feeling like a boss mf'r get the hardcover) Lets get back to business. The reason I'm picking the "flat" pattern is because it's the most common pattern you will see. This can be found in any type of data plotted on a chart, even ones that have nothing to do with financial instruments! We're also going to dive into the fractal nature of this pattern/correction. Before we jump to examples we should get an understanding of a fractal Frac-tal- a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. In simple terms a pattern in a pattern, in a pattern, in a pattern, in a pattern.... Okay lets check out some examples. I will focus on Bitcoin, but I will post other relevant charts. This was the correction @ 3k when everyone thought Bitcoin was done for, for the 5th time. Flats consist of 3 waves labeled A-B-C. Internal (subwaves) can be 3-3-5 and 3-3-3. I can show examples of both. Many Elliotticians will follow the book religiously, which I don't agree with. In a later post I will share my views on some minor flaws with doing that. You can see that the overall pattern is a flat, and there is also a flat in the middle! A fractal pattern! Neat :) Let's check out the current correction. (Which I think is over and we're back into motive trend) Notice how similar they are? How is this possible with HFT and algos killing the market? (common thing said by people who say forecasting is impossible) I want to find lower degree flats too. One just happened on the 1hr chart. let's check it out! Flats happen all the time, across all time frames... like I said, it's the most common pattern we will see. Now we're about to look at some other charts! Here is one on PowerLedger. First wave down has 3 waves, 2nd up has 3 waves, and 3rd wave has 5! Hey that sounds like a flat! There is also a chance this becomes a Triangle (5 waves with subwaves of 3) I'll cover those in another post! If it breaks the low then it changes the structure and I will need to re-analyze! That sounds like a rule... I'm really not fond of rules but when it comes to trading and forecasting they are absolutely essential. Trading needs to be rule based! Here's a good one on ETH that shows another flat. In this case we have a "contracting flat" This is where the B wave does not break the start of the A wave, and where the C wave does not break the bottom of the A wave. A "running flat" is a structure where the B wave breaks the start of the A wave, but does not break the bottom of the A wave. One thing that is interesting about this chart, is an unexpected event tanked ETH that one day, but the structure will remain the same. Switch to a line chart if you don't believe me! ;) Here's two larger degree "expanded flats" on AELF and ETHLend. The're not confirmed yet but I'm in the trade and plan on adding more. There will always be risk in trading/investing. Rewind to when I was babblin' about rules. When things don't go my way I need to be out of the trade. If you haven't already, it might be time to add some rules to your strategy! Okay one more and I'll wrap this thang up! I wanted to go over this Pound/US dollar chart (I know, I know, f@$k fiat)! Just because it's a C wave with 3 subwaves instead of 5. C waves in flats can be both 3 & 5 waves. They both exist. I wanted to bring this up because internal waves aren't so important. If you can find the largest degree correction, it will be easier to trade than to spend all day labeling waves and trying to figure out what in sam hell is going on! I want to thank you for taking the time to read this post & hope you have found some value with this blog. I plan to go more in depth on my strategy, and all things to do with wave patterns with future posts! To check out all current forecasts check out my group on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1895958077333696/ This is not investment advice, just a practical way of using wave analysis to forecast the direction of a trend. Trade responsibly, -Adam Biers |
