Whether using it as a legal tender for businesses, investing or trading with them fully, here's a little write-up that would enlighten and guide you. \n\nWhat's Crypto Currency?\nIt's a decentralized currency that belongs to nobody. Thus it's not bond to any government to control and or regulate. You can read extensively about it on Wikipedia.com\n\nTypes of Crypto Currencies\nThere are more 200 crypto currencies AKA altcoins. The first of them and most commonly known is the Bitcoin, others are Ethereum, Lisk, Steem, Dentacoin, Neo, Ripple, Ark, First coin, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, etc. Their values varies and can be monitored on a site Coinmarketcap \n\nHow to buy and keep altcoins.\nJust as you keep money in your wallets, altcoins are also stored in digital online wallets. Wallets varies with a lot of factors such as transaction charges, type of altcoin it stores, platforms etc. \nTransaction charges: when you send coins out from your wallet, charges are imposed on the transaction. These charges determines the speed of transactions confirmation. On every altcoin transaction, several confirmations must be completed before the recipient fully gets their coins. If we have too many transactions on the net, the speed of transactions confirmation is based on the transaction charges. If the wallet uses high transaction fee or if the transaction fee is remotely set to 'high priority', the transactions confirmation would be placed on high priority in the pool so it can be done quickly.\nType of altcoin stored: basically we have 2 categories of wallets, the ones that store only a particular coin (eg paxful, luno, steemit, etc) and those that support multiple altcoins (eg coinomi, jaxx, coinbase etc). \nPlatforms: what I mean here is some wallets have both mobile and online platforms while others have only online platforms. \n\nPurchasing your first coin.\nSome coins are easy to purchase while others might come with a little difficult. I would walk you through purchasing the most popular of them, the bitcoin. The easy one. \n1. You need a wallet. I would be using the blockchain.info wallet. You go to blockchain.info on the internet and create an account. PLEASE follow all instructions and read to understand all the information you would be coming across. IF YOU LOSE YOUR ID, YOU WOULD LOSE ALL YOUR COIN. So keep them save using all means, from writing on paper to snapping etc. \n2. Since you would be receiving, click “receive” to see your wallet ID which is a long bunch of numbers and letters. You copy it and send to the seller, who will use it to credit your wallet. \n3. If you are sending you open your wallet, click “send” then paste the recipient's wallet address the required box. Please CONFIRM that address from your transaction matches that of the recipient before you finally proceed because no CANCELLATION of transaction once the process has begun. As earlier said, some wallets might allow you to change or decide the transaction fees depending on the transaction urgency, which alters the priority level and thus the speed of transactions confirmation. \nAnd that's it. You now have your first altcoin (bitcoin) wallet. Would be teaching you later how to do certain calculations on crypto and how to invest or buy other altcoins and subsequently, certain ways to make money from crypto.       "body": "Computer Terminology: Differences Between Megabytes, Gigabytes, Terabytes & Petabytes\n\nTo be sincere, many people doesn't know the differences between these storage capacities and many havn't even heard about it before, while many get so confused when dealing with the nomenclature of the memory terminology in computer world.\n\nLets set the words straight, shall we? Gigabytes, Terabytes and Petabytes: Which is Bigger and at what multiples?\n\nKnowing which is bigger and which is smaller, as well as the abbreviations that represent these numbers, is probably the most helpful thing to get down. All of these computer technology storage units of measurement are based on the byte, which is the amount of storage required to store a single character of text:\n\nAn exabyte (EB) is larger than\n\npetabyte (PB), which is larger than\n\nterabyte (TB), which is larger than\n\ngigabyte (GB), which is larger than\n\nmegabyte (MB), which is larger than\n\nkilobyte (KB), which is larger than\n\nbyte (B)\n\nLess helpful in the real world is the smaller bit (there are 8 bits in 1 byte) and the larger zettabyte and yottabyte, among some others. We won’t be sticking yottabyte size memory cards in our cameras anytime soon so consider those some impressive words to throw around at your next party.\n\nTo convert from one unit to another, just know that for every level you go up, you multiply by 1,024. Don’t worry if that’s confusing – you’ll see enough examples below that you’ll have the math down in no time.\n\nNB: You’ll see many sources online say that each new level is 1,000 times greater than the smaller, not 1,024. While it is true in some cases, in practical terms, considering how computers use storage devices, 1,024 is the more realistic multiplier to do your calculations with.\n\nNow on the most practical stuff…\n\nHow Many Gigabytes (GB) in a Terabyte (TB)?\n\nThere are 1,024 GB in 1 TB.\n1 TB = 1,024 GB = 1,048,576 MB = 1,073,741,824 KB = 1,099,511,627,776 B.\n\nPut another way…\n\nA TB is 1,024 times bigger than a GB. To convert TB to GB, just take the TB number and multiply by 1,024 to get the number of GBs. To convert GB to TB, just take the GB number and divide by 1,024.\n\nHow Many Megabytes (MB) in a Gigabyte (GB)?\n\nThere are 1,024 MB in 1 GB\n1 GB = 1,024 MB = 1,048,576 KB = 1,073,741,824 B.\n\nLike in the previous example, a GB is 1,024 times bigger than a MB. To convert GB to MB, take the GB number and multiply by 1,024 to get the number of MBs. To convert MB to GB, take the MB number and divide it by 1,024.\n\nHow Big is a Terabyte?\n\nThe terabyte (TB) is the most common unit used to measure hard drive size and a number you might actually run into from time to time.\n\nA single TB is a lot of space. It’s would take 728,177 floppy disks or 1,498 CD-ROM discs to store just 1 TB worth of information.\n\nAs of 2017, most new, average priced computer hard drives were in the 1 to 3 TB range. Many ISPs cap monthly data usage at 1 TB. The Hubble Space Telescope generates about 10 TB of new data every year. Around 130,000 digital photos would require 1 TB of space… close to 400 photos every day for a year!\n\nIBM’s famous Watson game-playing supercomputer has 16 TB of RAM. As you saw in the GB to TB math above, 1 TB is equal to a bit more than one trillion bytes.\n\nHow Big is a Petabyte?\n\nThe petabyte (PB) is just a crazy large chunk of data but it actually comes up more and more these days.\n\nTo store a single PB would take over 745 million floppy disks or 1.5 million CD-ROM discs, clearly not an efficient way to collect a petabyte of information, but it’s fun to think about!\n\nThe movie Avatar needed about 1 PB of storage to render those graphics. It’s estimated that the human brain can store around 2.5 PB of memory data. Over 3.4 years of 24/7 Full HD video recording would be around 1 PB in size.\n\nAs of late 2016, the Wayback Machine was storing 15 PB of data! 1 PB is equivalent to over 4,000 digital photos per day, over your entire life.\n\nA single PB is 1,024 TB… you know, that number we already established was enormous even at one! In yet a more impressive view, 1 PB is equal to over 1 quadrillion bytes!\n\nHow Big is an Exabyte?\n\nTalking about even a single EB seems a bit crazy but there are situations where the world really does run into this level of data. Yes, it’s comical, but heading back to the previous comparisons: to get to just a single EB would take 763 billion floppy disks or 1.5 billion CD-ROM discs. Can you imagine?\n\nSome more mind-bending thoughts around exabytes:\n\nWay back in 2010, the internet was already handling 21 EB per month. Almost 11 million movies in 4K format would fit comfortably inside a 1 EB storage device. A single EB could hold the entire Library of Congress 3,000 times over. A gram of DNA can hold 490 EB, at least in theory. Let that sink in for a minute.\n\nNow for the math: a single EB holds 1,024 PB or 1,048,576 TB. That’s over 1 quintillion bytes!
