| body | By A. Choi, Marketing Manager for KStarCoin. (For more updates on S. Korean related Crypto News and Updates, follow us on Telegram) South Korean government officials had a meeting on July 13th regarding “Growth through Innovation” planning for national investment projects. The government official representative announced a plan to revise and potentially amend the current tax codes so that there would be more opportunities for companies to focus on technological improvements, i.e. blockchain to push for growth in South Korea. The government’s decision to lower the taxes was announced to the public by the South Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance after meetings of ministers from eight different regulatory agencies working on economic, financial policies. The government did not only decide on simply lowering taxes for companies to encourage technological development like blockchain, but they also decided to lower the tax reduction threshold for Blockchain startups and other companies. The current situation for companies to get tax reductions is not that easy. Companies must allocate more than five percent of the previous year’s gross sales to R&D and ten percent of its R&D investments should focus on new growth technologies like blockchain. The government decided that many of the young companies were not profitable enough to reach the current ten percent of the R&D incentive. It is expected that companies will now be charged only five percent starting from 2020. We are starting to see positive results from the governmental meetings regarding topics like blockchain, cryptocurrency, and ICOs. The government is having more meetings in the next few weeks to further discuss the future of blockchain and its related fields. Let us hope that there will be further great news like the one we heard in recent days. It is great to see that South Korea is making a turn from the strict stance that they had on blockchains and ICOs. We are seeing an unprecedented change from hard stances against blockchains to a stance that is pro-crypto from South Korea as a whole. These changes can push South Korea to become the leading crypto hub in the world. Let’s just wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. (For more updates on S. | body | KStarLive is a worldwide news and video curating service that provides K-Star, K-Pop, and K-Drama news to Facebook and other social media user’s worldwide. We started operating in May 2016, but by October 2017 we had 8 million followers from around the world. Currently, we have over 8.5 million followers and the numbers are ever growing. We are the number one global Korean Entertainment news page on Facebook and it does not seem like we will lose that spot at any time. What do they do? KStarLive selects a number of Hallyu-related video contents produced by various media outlets and fans from around the world, which we translate the selected contents into English. KStarLive composes articles with content that many of the fans of K-Pop can sympathize with and are interested in by many great writers working for KStarLive. It can be said to be accurate and detailed in comparison to many other K-Pop news sources and blogs. KStarLive also composes articles with many things that the fans are interested in like the topics of “idols performing in the rain at Korea University festivals” or “behind the scene footages of popular dramas” or issues of love scandals. These topics are controversial and the K-Pop world loves to know about these kinds of news. The KStarLive tries their best to be impartial and delivers the best news without taking any sides or any politics. KStarLive also collaborates with major broadcasting and media companies in Korea such as SBS or KBS to produce performance plans and video contents to convey the diverse culture and contents of Korean entertainment to fans all around the world. Why “KStarLive”? KStarLive is a platform for K-Pop/Hallyu and other Korean Entertainment related news so the term “K-Star” is a term that is very important and relatable. The use of the name “K-Star” means “Korean Star”, which extends the brand image which we can see in many names like K-Pop, K-Drama, or K-Beauty, which all relates to everything Korean. It was important for KStarLive to utilize and emphasizethe point of “Korean”, hence KStarLive. The name easily captures the various cultures and products that it stands for. What are they trying to do differently than their counterparts? KStarLive is overtaking its counterparts with the facts that it is still one of the fastest growing K-Pop and Korean Entertainment news outlet and platform. Also, KStarLive holds concerts and events for K-Pop fans around the world and is planning to do more by working with Korean Entertainment companies and broadcasting companies. However, KStarLive is trying to address many of the issues that the K-Pop fans and Korean Entertainment lovers have. Some issues that were found that KStarLive wanted to address were: Concerts/Event Problems: Global fans do not have the opportunity to attend concerts, shows, or events like domestic fans residing in South Korea. Ticket Scalping Problems: There are always issues with ticket scalping and performers, fans, and show organizers are all affected by this unorthodox, immoral methodologies. E-Commerce issues: There are lack of media to introduce products and many different payment methods for each country (which creates a lot of barriers to entries) Communication issues: It is hard for global fans to communicate and meet their favorite K-pop groups or stars or entertainers. Gifting issues: Many of the global fans do not have an easy way to gift goods or services to their Korean entertainment stars or K-Pop groups. There are many issues that KStarLive found that many of the K-Pop fans all around the world are facing. But, we have found a solution to resolve most of the problems. Solutions to the Problems: We found an ICO which is a blockchain-based cryptocurrency on Ethereum ERC20. It is called KStarCoin, ICO providing a platform to unite entertainment with their fans. This ICO was developed to enable decentralized exchange and all forms of smart contacts by utilizing Ethereum safety and technology. There are many issues that many people face, including K-Pop fans, and some of the issues that the KStarCoin ICO is trying to circumvent as a cryptocurrency and a blockchain is to offer a safe haven from the restrictions that strict capitals have in place in many countries to control the flow of money and to maintain high taxes. Also, cryptocurrencies are the new alternative to fiat currencies. We do not know how long fiat currencies can maintain their reliability and stability. Also, the trust for private banks and financial entities are lacking transparency and they do not let the public know about how the financial sectors are really doing. By providing a blockchain and an alternative cryptocurrency, KStarCoin is able to build upon the foundation of offering frictionless transactions and to maintain the purpose of inflation control. Also, the offer of a cryptocurrency by KStarCoin ICO, called KStarCoin (KSC), assures the users of high-security protocols and processes that would verify transactions that take place. Illegal and immoral actions such as counterfeiting, money laundering, and fraud would be diminished. Visit us at kstarcoin.com for more infromation! Email us at [email protected] |

| body | KStarLive is a worldwide news and video curating service that provides K-Star, K-Pop, and K-Drama news to Facebook and other social media user’s worldwide. Also, the trust for private banks and financial entities are lacking transparency and they do not let the public know about how the financial sectors are really doing. | body | What in the World is KStarLive? Detailed insight to what they do and what they are trying to do. (For more updates on S. Korean related Crypto News and Updates, follow us on Telegram) KStarLive is a world-wide news and video curating service that provides K-Star, K-Pop, and K-Drama news to Facebook and other social media user’s worldwide. We started operating on May 2016, but by October 2017 we had 8 million followers from around the world. Currently, we have over 8.5 million followers and the numbers are ever growing. We are the number one global Korean Entertainment news page on Facebook and it does not seem like we will lose that spot at any time. Over 8 Million Fans! K-Pop Girl Group Why “KStarLive”? KStarLive is a platform for K-Pop/Hallyu and other Korean Entertainment related news so the term “K-Star” is a term that is very important and relatable. The use of the name “K-Star” means “Korean Star”, which extends the brand image which we can see in many names like K-Pop, K-Drama, or K-Beauty, which all relates to everything Korean. It was important for KStarLive to utilize and emphasis the point of “Korean”, hence KStarLive. The name easily captures the various cultures and products that it stands for. What are they trying to do differently than their counterparts? KStarLive are overtaking its counterparts with the facts that it is still one of the fastest growing K-Pop and Korean Entertainment news outlet and platform. Also, KStarLive holds concerts and events for K-Pop fans around the world and is planning to do more by working with Korean Entertainment companies and broadcasting companies. However, KStarLive are trying to address many of the issues that the K-Pop fans and Korean Entertainment lovers have. Some issues that were found that KStarLive wanted to address were: Concerts/Event Problems: Global fans do not have the opportunity to attend concerts, shows, or events like domestic fans residing in South Korea. Ticket Scalping Problems: There are always issues with ticket scalping and performers, fans, and show organizer’s are all affected by this unorthordox, immoral methodogies. There are many issues that many people face, including K-Pop fans, and some of the issues that the KStarCoin ICO is trying to circumvent as a cryptocurrency and a blockchain is to offer a safe haven from the restrictions that strict capitals have in place in many counries to control the flow of money and to maintain high taxes. In detail, KStarCoin, which is based on Ethereum ERC20, was able to develop a decentralized exchange and enable all forms of smart contracts by using Ethereum’s foundations. KStarCoin is able to activate P2P type of transactions between individuals even before registration. It is optimized to implement smart contracts that show reliability and transparency, which would be good for payments and counter issues like ticket scalping. KStarCoin can tackle most of the issues and be used for many things such as K-Pop concert/event crowdfunding, K-Pop concert ticket sales, K-Star goods sales, K-Beauty make up sales, providing ways for fans to give gifts to their favorite K-Pop singers, and so much more. Through the platform that KStarCoin will provide for its users, it will become the center of K-Pop or Entertainment related currencies. Also, the trust for private banks and financial entities are lacking transparency and they do not let the public know about how the financial sectors are really doing.\n\nBy providing a blockchain and an alternative cryptocurrency, KStarCoin is able to build upon the foundation of offering frictionless transactions and to maintain the purpose of inflation control. Also, the offer of a cryptocurrency by KStarCoin ICO, called KStarCoin (KSC), assures the users of high-security protocols and processes that would verify transactions that take place. Illegal and immoral actions such as counterfeiting, money laundering, and fraud would be diminished.\n\nIn detail, KStarCoin, which is based on Ethereum ERC20, was able to develop a decentralized exchange and enable all forms of smart contracts by using Ethereum’s foundations. KStarCoin is able to activate P2P type of transactions between individuals even before registration. It is optimized to implement smart contracts that show reliability and transparency, which would be good for payments and counter issues like ticket scalping.\n\nKStarCoin can tackle most of the issues and be used for many things such as K-Pop concert/event crowdfunding, K-Pop concert ticket sales, K-Star goods sales, K-Beauty make up sales, providing ways for fans to give gifts to their favorite K-Pop singers, and so much more. Through the platform that KStarCoin will provide for its users, it will become the center of K-Pop or Entertainment related currencies.\n\nFor more information, please visit us at:\n\nwww.kstarlive.com / www.kstarcoin.com\n\n(For more updates on S. | body | What in the World is KStarLive? There are many issues that many people face, including K-Pop fans, and some of the issues that the KStarCoin ICO is trying to circumvent as a cryptocurrency and a blockchain is to offer a safe haven from the restrictions that strict capitals have in place in many counries to control the flow of money and to maintain high taxes. | body | Thanks for sharing, interesting airdrop! After doing your own research, also finding good ICO projects can be profitable. I want to share with you guys a new exciting project I have just discovered: RAWG. Check out this great article by Sergey Ulankin, RAWG's Editor-in-Chief, where he explains what has been done so far and what will be the future updates: https://medium.com/rawg/wp-bits-5-vision-and-current-state-69127bfbeb2a The ICO will start in a short period, and they are at the moment in pre-ICO phase. This is the site: https://token.rawg.io/. It's a video game discovery platform that converts your skills into goods and services (the site is already working, with more than 57,000 games in the database). Have a look and get some information while doing your own research :) Another interesting point: RAWG has already secured $5m USD, halfway to hard cap of $10m! |

| body | We are KStarCoin! What are we doing? Our project will be able to create value for the fans of K-Pop/Hallyu. Using blockchain technology, we will be able to accurately reward users that create value. For example, any activity that generates traffic (such as creating content, reading, sharing) will be rewarded. Currently, fans of Hallyu are creating valuable, high-quality content on various platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and etc. But, the monetary value is retained by the platforms. Through our platform, we will distribute value in a logical and proper manner. "Content = Traffic = Value -> Traffic Generators" Why are we doing it? Over the past two years, KStarLive acted as a media platform for fans of K-Pop all around the world. Our services focused on non-Korean fans that had difficulty finding content or information in English. Also, it allowed foreign fans to exchange and engage with each other in a manner that they have not been able to previously. Though our approach, over a period of two years, KStarLive was able to build a follower base of over 8.5 million users around the world. What is KStarCoin? KStarcpom is KStarLive's ERC20 based cryptocurrency that will enable KStarLive to create an incentivized fan-based platform. By integrating KStarCoin in KStarLive's community, we will be able to provide to our users' community activity rewards as well as services and products such as having K-Pop concerts or fan meeting crowdfunding, K-Pop concert ticket sales, K-Star goods, and methods for overseas fans to send gifts to their favorite stars. Whats with the AirDrop? We are giving out airdrops every month to all users and also bonuses at our Telegram community. Please join us at https://t.me/joinchat/JGyT-0ZPyVo8ODy1UoSRLg ALSO, please participate in our bounty programs, which can be found at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4595272.new#new or https://medium.com/@KStarCoin/kstarcoin-july-bounty-program-9761ea35e20b |

| body | Starting today, South Korea will be hosting a large amount of blockchain developers, experts, investors, and crypto-enthusiasts in Seoul for the annual Korea Blockchain Week. Korea Blockchain Week is one of Asia’s most important blockchain conferences, which is actually happening for the first time in Seoul, South Korea. For the next five days, from the 16th to the 20th, there will be various events, meet-ups, parties, and conferences to discuss topics like the potential of blockchain technology or importance of decentralized economies. The reasons why the Korea Blockchain Week is so significant of an event is that South Korea has a population of around 50million people. However, around 20 percent of Bitcoin and Ether transactions are accounted in South Korea. South Korea is also ranked third in the world in regards to Bitcoin adoption. As you can see, South Korea has one of the most prominent and important crypto-communities in the world. Also, the South Korean government recently legalized crypto-exchanges, which was considered an important event in the Korean Crypto-Movement. Many people are waiting on further news on the legalization of ICO’s and blockchains as well. Some of the important events that will be taking place are: #1 Beyond Blocks Summit (July 17th and 18th) The Beyond Blocks Summit is the highlight of the Korea Blockchain Week and it is the biggest conference during the five day event. There will be a collection of speakers who are the leading experts in their fields. The topics that will be covered will range from mass adoption to ICO development. It will feature the “most controversial topics in the current blockchain space.” Some of the most prominent speakers at the Summit Seoul 2018 are Michael Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital Capital Management, and JH Kim, Council Member of the ICON Foundation, and Jason Han, CEO of Ground X. These will feature prominent figures of the crypto world and it is an event not to be missed! #2 Hashed Night (July 19th) Hashed Night is also one event that is to be reckoned with. It is sponsored by #Hashed, a crypto-fund based in South Korea. It is important to note that Hashed is one of the most important crypto funds in South Korea. The CEO of #Hashed, Simon Kim, is the biggest influencer of Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, and ICO related issues in South Korea. Also, the CTO of #Hashed, Hwisang Kim, has a reputation for founding the earliest crypto-communities in South Korea and was a big time marketer in SK. The CEO and his team will talk about many various topics such as the importance of decentralized ledgers to importance of ICO’s. They have a significant portfolio and most likely they will also touch upon which projects become successful and the reasons why they invested in such ventures. This is an event that should not be missed! #3 Foundation X Night (July 20th) Foundation X Night is an event by Foundation X, a blockchain accelerator. Foundation X is something to acknowledge because of their smart investments and their dedication to help build strong, healthy blockchain ecosystems. They probably have a lot to say on the importance of the importance of blockchain developments and such issues. There are many other events and meet-ups to note. Also, there will be a lot of after parties to that will be held throughout the Korea Blockchain Week. Do not miss out on these exclusive events and don’t miss a chance to grow your connections! See you guys at the Korea Blockchain Week! |

| body | In breaking news, the self-regulatory inspection of South Korean Crypto Exchanges has finally been concluded. Over two months ago, the Korea Blockchain Association (KBA) wanted to initiate self-inspections into Crypto exchanges to insure that the Crypto exchanges operating in South Korea had safeguards to check themselves from potential issues such as cyber-attacks. The spark that led to the self-inspections of the crypto exchanges by the KBA had influences from the announcements that the Korean Financial Services Commission (FSC) gave to the public about potential new crypto regulatory frameworks. The FSC has stated that it wants to have a strict approach towards trading regulations and user monitoring. The FSC specifically wanted to focus on money laundering prevention and cyber-crime prevention to be the prevalent issues that the exchanges should be focusing on. The potential FSC regulations aimed to provide frameworks that pertains to AML and KYC requirements for the exchanges to follow. KBA announced that only 12 out of the 23 crypto exchanges gained self-affirmation and met the cyber security standards that Korea has in place. Fourteen Crypto Exchanges were at first willing to go through the inspection, but two withdrew from the inspection during the past months. The list of the crypto exchanges that passed the self-regulatory exchanges were Dexko, Hanbitco, OKCoin Korea, Huobi Korea, Bithumb, Upbit, Neoframe, Gopax, Cpdax, Coinzest, Korbit and Coinone. Two of the crypto exchanges that withdrew from the inspection by the KBA were Sunny7 and Komid. It is said that the twelve crypto exchanges had tough self-imposed tests to pass. Some of the criteria’s that the exchanges had to meet were having minimum total assets,, adoption of a cold wallet, anti-money laundering requirements, and so on. The inspection that took place was done by third party experts that were approved by the KBA back in June. The head of the KBA’s inspection committee, Jhun Ha-Jin, stated during the press conference that there were security flaws found in some of the crypto exchanges that were inspected. However, there was no detailed explanation of what the flaws that were found were. Also, there was no detailed explanation of how well the exchanges met the security standards stated by the KBA. The international community should notice that these are events we should not ignore because there were a good number of cryptocurrency exchanges that were willing to go under inspection by an outside party such as the KBA and pass security checks/self-regulation checks. It gives assurances to the investors of cryptocurrency and blockchain developers because of the willingness of exchanges to be self-regulatory and are concerned about the people who are utilizing their platforms. Even though the statements from the KBA were of an ambiguous nature, we can see that there are definite changes coming to Korea. We are not too sure yet what to take from this important event except that changes are coming. On top of that, South Korean government officials are now talking about bills on crypto currency and blockchain related issues, which potentially can turn into new laws in a matter of two weeks. | body | Have you ever heard of problems with scalping tickets before? It is indeed a huge problem, especially in the K-pop world. Sometimes the ticket prices are so high that it goes up to 1000% of the original price. So frustrating, isn’t it? Most of the time, seats are unavailable for most fans who really want to go to the event. In our opinion, the ticket market right now is not transparent and fans are often left out of the equation. Adding inexplicable transaction costs to tickets is a common activity among ticketing companies. Funny thing is, it is illegal to sell all the tickets on-site, but it isn’t illegal to sell them online; even so, fines are only 200 dollars. Due to this environment, black market traders don’t mind selling tickets for a higher price. KStarLive has the solution for this nonsensical situation: KStarCoin. It’s a blockchain based event ticketing protocol in the process of buying and selling tickets through cooperating with booking companies, entertainment agencies, and even with fans. Decentralized ticketing issuance and tracking protocol will be able to block ticket scalpers, who typically buy the large number of tickets and re-sell them on numerous different sites. This protocol will make secondary market ticket prices and ticket fraud occurrences disappear; it will provide absolute transparency for all parties involved in the process. Another thing that you should remember about the blockchain-based ticketing protocol is that the owner of such a smart ticket is also free to anonymously sell his or her tickets. However, it will be automatically done within the decentralized infrastructure of the protocol. This ensures that ticket trades are done safely and within a set price margin (say good-bye to ridiculously priced tickets!) which is a good thing for both sellers and purchasers, isn’t it? KStarLive has a goal to create a communication-oriented service between fans and Hallyu stars. We believe that this goal will be achieved faster, safer, and more transparent with a blockchain platform. It will also benefit numerous parties involved and we will be the center of the global Hallyu culture. This new cultural movement with blockchain technology will serve as a medium of communication between stars and fans. Should you have any further questions or inquiries about KStarCoin ICO, please do not hesitate to contact us through [email protected] |

| body | Winds of change are coming to South Korea on the topics of cryptocurrency, the blockchain, and ICOs (initial coin offerings). South Korean legislators at the South Korean National Assembly are starting to discuss and push agendas for drafting bills from July 13 to 26th. We do not exactly know if the bills that the legislators are pushing will become law during the timeframe of July 13th to 26th because of the different views that many of the legislators hold on the issues of cryptocurrency and blockchain. The topics range from cyber crimes to the necessity to maintain regulatory frameworks. The legislators have a lot of concerns of regulation and security because of issues such as Korean Cryptocurrency Exchanges getting hacked. Even though we are unsure if the bills will become definite law during the given timeframe of the talks, but these talks are showing us that Korean governmental entities are now willing to change their hard stances on crypto-related issues. South Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) has announced to the public that they have revised guidelines regarding activities of Korea’s cryptocurrency exchanges and operators. FSC further announced to ease rules on crypto-based assets to establish united regulations following the policies of other G20 countries. Last month, the FSC announced that there will be a reversal on ICO bans in South Korea, which was very good news because it showed the start of governmental entities becoming more accepting and seeing the potential benefits blockchains might have. Rep. Park Yong-Jin / Credits to the Korea Times According to the Korea Times, Rep. Park Yong-Jin (박용진) of the Democratic Party of Korea, Rep. Chung Tae-Ok (청태옥) of the Liberty Party Korea (LPK), and Rep. Choung Byoung-gug (정병국) of the Bareun Mirae Party are the leading supporters for easing up on regulations of cryptocurrency and blockchain and ICOs. They plan to submit their bills regarding the legal status of cryptocurrency, requirements for cryptocurrency exchanges, and other related issues. Representative Oh Se-Jung (오세정) is stressing that cryptocurrency exchanges need to have more regulation and exchanges need to improve their security to ensure that issues such as hacking can be prevented. Representative Song Hee-Kyung / Credits to Korea Times It is said that Representative Song Hee-Kyung (송희경) of the Liberty Party Korea will be leading a debate on the security of domestic cryptocurrency exchanges on July 19th, which will be co-hosted by Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA). Rep. Song is concerned and raising issues about how to prevent money laundering, hacking, and doxxing. We are still unsure what would happen during the next few weeks, but if the bills pass in the Korean Legislature, there could be a potential rise of more secure crypto exchanges and a rise to more legitimate ICOs. Under the new Korean statutes that would be in place to ensure legitimacy and transparency, it would foster postive changes in stability and security. Also, these bills could potentially ease the barrier to entry for using Korean Crypto Exchanges. Currently, depositing and withdrawing for Korean citizens and foreigners alike are not that easy. If there are legislations that pass to make it easier for people to buy/sell or deposit/withdraw cryptocurrencies or fiscal currencies, it would draw more positive attention to the importance of crypto and blockchain. This is good news for the crypto community because of Korea’s importance in the crypto world. Hopefully, in two weeks, we will be receiving good news about crypto and blockchain regulations that would further advance us into a better future of decentralization. |

KStarCoin can be obtained from KStarLive’s fan community, exchanges, and peer-to-peer transactions. The vision of KStarCoin is to become a solution for the payment barriers that Hallyu fans all around the world currently face. Domestic fans could purchase concert tickets through crowdfunding. International fans could also have their favorite Hallyu stars hold concerts and/or fan meetings in their own countries. KStarCoin will also enable fans to easily send birthday/supporting gifts and food or coffee trucks to their favorite stars. Apart from concerts, with KStarCoin, fans will also be able to purchase Korean goods such as cosmetics, fashion items, and more. CEO of KStarLive, Lee Heeyong, said, “With KStarCoin, it will be easier and more comfortable for fans all around the world to be engaged with anything related to Hallyu.” He continued, “I believe it will bring new opportunities, not only for Hallyu fans, but also for entertainment companies and Hallyu stars.” KStarLive will be opening the 1st pre-sale of KStarCoin, gathering global investors, starting from this April. During the 1st pre-sale, an additional 25% bonus will be given for every KStarCoin purchased. They plan to start the cryptocurrency exchange in the first half of 2018. CEO Lee explained, “KStarCoin’s exchange will likely be active since we have gathered more than 8.3 million followers from all over the world. The value of KStarCoin will increase, as the Hallyu fandom will be able to overcome the problem that most people and places are still unfamiliar with cryptocurrency.
