Era la época dorada del juego en LAN, compartiendo una red local y viviendo la adrenalina de cada partida en la misma habitación. Sé que existían métodos alternativos para jugarlo en internet a través de redes P2P, pero honestamente mi vicio no llegaba hasta ese extremo; con las sesiones locales nos bastaba.\n\n* * *\n\n**I have to admit that I spent a good part of my teenage years playing MOBAs. This style of game, where you take on the role of a hero and have to fight enemy champions while defending and attacking towers, had me completely hooked. Back then, the perfect routine consisted of getting together with my friends to spend entire afternoons playing the original Dota map in Warcraft 3. It was the golden age of LAN gaming, sharing a local network and experiencing the adrenaline rush of each match in the same room. I know there were alternative methods to play it online through P2P networks, but honestly, my addiction didn't go that far; local sessions were enough for us.**\n\n<img src=\"https://i.ecency.com/DQmZTQDCcfTJTqhV1Bkqz8M2aduBjYoFsQSy7coEXZPimnQ/1000019507.png\" alt=\"\" />\n\nSin embargo, todo cambió drásticamente al llegar a la universidad. Al separarme de mi grupo de amigos de la infancia, me topé con la dura realidad de no conseguir personas en mi nuevo entorno que compartieran el mismo interés por los Mobas. Obligado por las circunstancias, tuve que buscar una alternativa individual y fue ahí donde descubrí League of Legends (LoL). Aunque este título presentaba diferencias notables con respecto al Dota, me pareció una excelente alternativa para jugar en línea desde mi laptop. Pasé muchos años dedicándole horas a este juego y, quitando el factor de su comunidad altamente tóxica, consideraba que el juego en cuestión estaba sumamente bien diseñado.\n\n* * *\n\n**However, everything changed drastically when I started university. After separating from my childhood friends, I faced the harsh reality of not finding anyone in my new environment who shared my interest in MOBAs. Forced by circumstances, I had to find a solo alternative, and that's when I discovered League of Legends (LoL). Although this title had notable differences compared to Dota, it seemed like an excellent alternative for playing online from my laptop. It's incredible how everyday tasks and activities that once depended exclusively on a computer began to shift entirely to my cell phone. Initially, I used my laptop for absolutely everything: work, study, and play games. Then, its use was reduced to gaming sessions and university assignments. Later, it was only used for gaming, and nowadays, the situation is almost ironic: I only turn it on very rarely when I want to watch a specific movie that I can't find on any of the multiple streaming services I pay for.**\n\n<img src=\"https://i.ecency.com/DQmdKa7K45mdX4AA1pjP6x9TnhEftPo52EyUamNLfVZ6mGC/20c31d09_7606_4e6d_afbe_030c5b5b827f_1_all_2633.jpg\" alt=\"\" />\n\nHace unos meses, me pegó la nostalgia y quise volver al competitivo mundo de los MOBAs, sin embargo, me daba una flojera tremenda tener que sentarme a encender la laptop solo para eso, por lo que decidí buscar una alternativa moderna en Android. La primera opción en la lista era evidente: Wild Rift, la versión oficial para dispositivos móviles de League of Legends. Lamentablemente, la experiencia no fue la que esperaba. El juego se siente sumamente pesado, tosco en sus transiciones e innecesariamente complicado para el formato móvil, siento que los desarrolladores se obsesionaron con hacer un port demasiado fiel al juego de PC, olvidando que no se puede comparar la precisión y velocidad de un mouse y un teclado con los límites mecánicos de una pantalla táctil.\n\n* * *\n\n**A few months ago, I got nostalgic and wanted to return to the competitive world of MOBAs. However, I was incredibly lazy about having to sit down and turn on my laptop just for that, so I decided to look for a modern alternative on Android. The first option on the list was obvious: Wild Rift, the official mobile version of League of Legends. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't what I expected. The game feels extremely sluggish, its transitions are clunky, and it's unnecessarily complicated for the mobile format. This title is basically a Dota game, simplified to the extreme. Its gameplay is based almost exclusively on basic positioning and pressing the ability buttons at the right moment to eliminate your enemies almost automatically. When I played League of Legends on PC, I would play matches that lasted up to 40 or 50 minutes, which left me mentally exhausted. In Mobile Legends, the pace is so fast that if a match lasts 15 minutes, it's because the encounter was extremely close. Mi puntuación definitiva para este juego es un 8/10.
