With the backing of true icons like Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol, among many others, he dares to claim that “graffiti is the only art form the United States has shared with the world.” He has a point, even if he isn’t entirely sure. The fourth day will serve as a transition day, during which we will move from the first phase of the trip to the second. Garibaldi Lake, located in Garibaldi Provincial Park, is a real gem. If you love beautiful lakes, glaciers, breathtaking mountains, and views that will stay with you forever, this is the perfect place for you. It was my first night hike in Canada after moving here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The sunset reflections are simply spectacular. The plan is to go on a trip to the Lake Garibaldi campground, spend two nights there, and explore the surrounding area. The campground is a great place to start hiking in the park. If you’re the type who likes to start hikes gently, brace yourself. The trail begins climbing immediately from the parking lot, without giving you a chance to start slowly. The first six or seven kilometers are all uphill. You’ll work up a sweat, but it’s not too difficult, as the trail has no technical challenges. It was still in the shade, and it felt cold!  I loved how the light illuminated Black Tusk—and soon after, us as well. It was very cold that morning, so when the sun finally came out, we felt really happy. Black Tusk stands out among the other mountains surrounding it, thanks to its unique shape. The trailhead is located at the Rubble Creek parking lot, which is approximately 37 km north of Squamish and 19 km south of Whistler (British Columbia). It is also quite close to Vancouver, just a 70-km drive away. Just before reaching the summit of Panorama Ridge, there’s a spectacular view of Black Tusk and several lakes. It was still in the shade, and it felt cold!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI loved how the light illuminated Black Tusk—and soon after, us as well.
