But there always have been an itch that needs to be scratch in my professional career,<br> that is,<br> being an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n<h3>It's Not a Walk in The Park<\/h3>\n<p>I have been reading articles on how to be successful as an entrepreneur and I have come across many literature apparently telling me that it is not an easy road to take. Sacrifices have to be made. Sometimes relationships are on the line. And while the road ahead may not be very promising and my finances do not actually reach seven figures (not even 6 figures),<br> I am very determined to succeed. With kids in school and rents to be paid,<br> the challenge is greater than what I have imagined.<\/p>\n<h3>Firing My Boss<\/h3>\n<p>I had a stable job as a teacher in an international school in Bangkok,<br> Thailand. For almost 9 years,<br> this job helped my family afloat with our finances. Crazy as you may call it,<br> I ditched that financial security and ventured to be join a startup company focused on logistics and international trading. This is where my challenges really come in. But I'm keeping positive despite of many failures. We do have a major project of exporting to the Philippines a nano-technology based organic fertilizer in powder form. Hoping and praying this project pushes through.<\/p>\n<h3>A Thousand Failure Ahead<\/h3>\n<p>I expect to fail. A lot. But I find inspiration from people who had made so much failure in their lifetime yet have risen to the occasion. Failure is part of success. It is my learning curve and no matter how steep it is,<br> I have to travel this road.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Interests I Make Myself Busy With<\/h3>\n<p>Aquaponics<\/p>\n<p>I am interested in organic gardening and have been doing aquaponics as a hobby. Unfortunately,<br> the water pump was unplugged and killed 90% of my fish. This is my first generation of tilapia in my aquaponics system. I have started my own lactobacillus or lactic acid bacteria (LAB) at home. Watching YouTube videos and researching about LAB,<br> these good bacteria are very effective. I will personally make my own videos on how to culture and make these effective microorganisms. But mining has been very difficult these days and it is much better to trade than mine crypto currencies. I am glad I come across SteemIt that leverages blockchains.
