These set of traditions and culture include\n\u2022Masquerade\n\u2022New Yam festival\n\u2022Traditional marriage rites\n\u2022Omugwo (New birth)\n\u2022Iwa Akwa (Maturity rite for men) among others**\n<hr>\n\nI will be writing about the Igbo Marriage in IMO state,<br> Nigeria ,<br> Africa.\n ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/9lenutt025.jpg)\n<hr>\n**BEFORE THE DAY**\n\nSo many events happen before the main traditional marriage day. It is rumored that the marriage actually takes place days before the Trad Day. \nThere are so many 'OUTINGS' which take place. But it varies on the particular region the person is from. I will be talking about my people.\n<hr>\n\n*1st Meeting*\n<hr>\n\nThis is when the Grooms family,<br> goes to meet the Bride's family for an 'INTRODUCTION'. \nIntroduction usually means the first time the groom will indicate interest in a bride and will come with his people to let the bride's family know. \n\nHere,<br> the Groom's family is entertained by the Bride and her people with native meals ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/5x7ultf6ak.jpg)\n>That's a keg of Palmwine\n\n<hr>\n2nd coming\n<hr>\n\nThis time,<br> as the groom people are going,<br> the go with certain demands from the bride's family. On second coming,<br> the groom's family come to fulfill the demands which they receive..\n\n<hr>\nMain day (Traditional marriage Day)\n<hr>\n\nThis is the money spending day! \nIt is done in the brides compoind and hosted by the brides family.\nPeople are invited\n ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/npz0g2uez2.jpg) and so many food is in abundance. \nThe bride is on her best ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/tw78l2qt8k.jpg)\n\nThere is the bridal train which ushers the bride into the environment ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/ltmushyyr5.jpg)\n\n>There is the little kids who dance and welcome people\n\n ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/in0upxirys.jpg)\n ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/7y5uxiji48.jpg)\n\nThe events ends when the bride identifies her husband in the crowd and the rest of the event is all dance and songs\n ![image (https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/9lenutt025.jpg)\n\n\n<hr>**Conclusion**\n>It is every young ladies dream and every young man to have an elaborate Traditional wedding as the whole community looks out for each age group and the people in it\nThe Nigerian society is community based and you can't have a 'Just family' event...
