Yee haw.\n\nSat in Dr. Davidson\u2019s office,<br> looking out the windows into the gardens bursting with color. His voice drew me back into the session.\n\n\u201cSo,<br> how have things been?\u201d\n\n\u201cQuieter. No paparazzi camping out on the front lawn. They\u2019ve upgraded to drones with cameras.\u201d\n\nHe frowned. \u201cYeah,<br> I saw. Nice topiaries,<br> by the way.\u201d\n\n\u201cThanks.\u201d The delivery of the Viking\u2019s yurt did not go unnoticed. It was well documented,<br> with various gossip rags wondering who the hairy stranger in my backyard was,<br> and where did I get the dogs? The PR people issued a statement about my new security detail. Meanwhile,<br> Fergie\u2019s sniping drones down via archery skills. Downed drones are put in boxes left outside the estate\u2019s gate,<br> so their errant owners can claim them. \n\n\u201cAnything new going on? Besides big yurt getaway houses?\u201d\n\n\u201cThe friend who helped me out is staying up here with me. The yurt is for him.\u201d The Viking also asked if he could keep a couple goats back there. Why the hell not? Right about now a chicken coop and a wee shed for some Black Swedish Ducks should be making its way to the Fergus\u2019 new stomping grounds. For the chickens,<br> I opted for Dark Cornish,<br> to help protect them from any hawks lurking in my twelve acres of forest the Viking now called his barracks. Little did he know that in two days,<br> a half-acre pond will be dug and eventually stocked so he could fish,<br> and the ducks have a place to swim.\n\n\u201cHe didn\u2019t want to stay in the house?\u201d\n\n\u201cEh,<br> it never really came up,<br> although he knows he\u2019s totally welcome inside. I offered him a place in a wooded grove. He likes the outdoors.\u201d\n\n\u201cAnything else happen this last week?\u201d\n\n\u201cI think I decided what I want to do.\u201d Couldn\u2019t tell him everything. But if my plan was a bad idea,<br> hearing it from an unbiased source would be awesome. Kahan has his bias,<br> being that he\u2019s law enforcement. I felt I knew without a doubt where he stood of the subject.\n\n\u201cOh? What have you decided?\u201d\n\n\u201cWell,<br> I found out some stuff from the FBI regarding my husband\u2019s death,<br> and the things done before he came after me. So,<br> I\u2019ve been giving the FBI assistance to help solve a big case.\u201d Didn\u2019t feel that it was the right time to say,<br> *oh,<br> and by the way there\u2019s an FBI agent who feels I should get deputized so I can legally lay the smack down on those sacks of shit who did horrible,<br> terrible things to children.*\n\nWith that revelation,<br> the good doctor\u2019s eyebrows shot up for a moment. \u201cFBI,<br> eh? Well,<br> I\u2019m impressed.\u201d\n\nHe shouldn\u2019t be,<br> considering it was Kahan who pointed me in the good doctor\u2019s direction. \u201cA search warrant had been issued on several of my husband\u2019s properties,<br> but I found a place they missed. So,<br> it was reported and they found a bunch of evidence. I\u2019ve offered financial support to help provide resources needed to bring the case to a satisfactory close.\u201d Albeit,<br> on an unofficial level. Not going to write on my tax return that I supported the ruination of those running the country via proxy.\n\u201cCan I ask what the case is about?\u201d\n\nI warred with myself. I could lay it all out as I knew it,<br> or I could keep spinning things to seem more innocent than they really are. Decisions,<br> decisions. \u201cI can\u2019t go into a whole lot of specifics,<br> being that the FBI doesn\u2019t tell me classified information,<br> but I can give you a basic run down.\u201d Took a huge deep breath and held it for a few heartbeats before exhaling slowly through my mouth. It was a meditation technique Fergus taught me,<br> to help ground and center my thoughts. \u201cMy husband was the victim of a child pornography ring. The woman he killed was his primary abuser. That woman is tied to other people,<br> and it\u2019s those people that the FBI want to take down. But it\u2019s complicated. It\u2019s not like they can just arrest everybody in one fell swoop.\u201d\n\n\u201cThey\u2019ve done big busts before. Why can\u2019t they arrest those associated?\u201d\n\n\u201cBecause it\u2019s high ranking people. Here and overseas. And if it got out all these people were associated with such a disgusting thing,<br> there\u2019d be riots in the streets.\u201d\n\n\u201cThat\u2019s pretty bad. Wonder if the FBI is going to find someone to nail and and consider it case closed.\u201d\n\nI mentally smirked. If law enforcement decided that using a low-ranking fall guy as a sacrifice to help keep a lid on the scope of this corruption,<br> they better have a contingency plan. \u201cFrom my contact in the FBI,<br> I get a feeling that could happen. Higher ranking people in the agency have ties to shady stuff tying in with the pedo ring. They will want to keep that stuff quiet.\u201d\n\nDr. Davidson gave a half-smile. \u201cThings like this have happened before. Back in the 80\u2019s,<br> there were a couple cases that were reported and then got lost in the midst of other events. For example,<br> the Presidio in California had a daycare cover-up. Something along the lines of fifty-plus kids had been sexually abused,<br> some of them even had STDs. Those who abused the kids aimed for younger ones unable to testify in court. There were allegations of Satanic Abuse mingled in that case,<br> too. Same for the White House Call Boy scandal. That was in 1988. A guy running a bank in the Midwest had ties to Washington DC,<br> turns out he was laundering money from cocaine sales for the CIA to help fund the Iran-Contras. Oliver North was the fall guy\u2014 deflect from the more heinous crimes onto white collar stuff. The guy running the bank groomed a group of kids,<br> mostly boys,<br> to being sex toys for elite politicians. Flew them from the Midwest to DC. The thing that actually got headlines was that some of those kids got a midnight tour of the White House. In the news articles,<br> those kids were called prostitutes,<br> not trafficked children. Spinning the angle worked. People don\u2019t recall that DC houses some sick shit. Sorry,<br> shouldn\u2019t have cursed. But yeah. Uh,<br> this was actually a topic I covered in my thesis.\n\n\u201cIf there\u2019s shady people involved-- and they\u2019d have to be shady because of the subject matter\u2014 and if your husband had ties to them,<br> you may want to beef up your security. There\u2019s a list of people who got involved and ended up dead under mysterious circumstances or suicided for asking too many questions.\u201d\n\nMade a mental note to myself so I could remember to google that scandal. Research must be done. Will probably go down a rabbit hole but as a cartoon used to remind me,<br> Knowledge is Power. \u201cAlready have. Plus I\u2019m taking lessons in various forms of self defense. And got a couple of dogs.\u201d Didn\u2019t tell him that these dogs were like magic bullets that could maim or kill at my command. Of course,<br> I have to bond with them. Especially Freki. She is hand-fed by the person wearing the scented pendent\u2014 no one else can feed her because she won\u2019t eat unless she smells that special scent from the dog tag I wore. Right now,<br> the dog is acclimating to me. She\u2019ll follow verbal and hand commands without fail,<br> but the fostering of protection above and beyond the scope of issued commands takes time. Freki sleeps in my room while Geri roams the house. They each have little tags on their collars which unlock the dog door I had installed so they had access to the grounds as well as the domicile.\n\n\u201cDogs and self-defense lessons are a good start,<br> but probably isn\u2019t enough. Do what you can to arm yourself. Keep your vehicles under watch so they can\u2019t be tampered with. Watch where you drive; those keeping an eye on vocal dissenters look for patterns in habit. If you drive a certain path everyday to work,<br> they\u2019ll arrange a fatal car accident. If you work out alone in a gym,<br> they\u2019ll make sure the dumbbell falls in such a way to inhibit breathing. This stuff is documented. Treated as a conspiracy theorist\u2019s wet dream,<br> though. For most people,<br> it\u2019s easier to ignore cognitive dissonance. It\u2019s easier to believe a lie than wrap one\u2019s mind around the truth. Those lies are a safety blanket,<br> keeping society warm. Take away the blanket,<br> make people face the bitter cold truth\u2026 and things start falling apart.
