They were hoisted into the rapid in a basket carrying a dozen or so people at a time. After the ritual,<br> they cease to be freshmen and become engineering students for real. I took the bath in the ice cold water exactly 25 years ago. We went to a hot sauna about 2 km away. I don't remember if we walked or take there by a bus. This year,<br> the physics students' guild had brought a towable sauna to the park right next to the cranes. Practical. The baptism ceremony was scheduled to begin at 1 pm and end at 6 pm.
