The word mantis comes from the Greek word \"Mantes\" meaning \"prophet\" or \"fortune teller\".\n\n###### Praying mantis has 3 legs,<br> 2 pairs of back legs used for walking while a pair of front legs are useful for catching prey. The front legs are very strong and the largest size with the side of its spiked sharp is useful to grab its prey.
