That decision was tough for many reasons. However,
there are many benefits to moving to the PNW - one of them being the landscape!\n\nWe have been visiting as many sites as we can on our free time. The Big Obsidian Flow Trail is now one of our favorite places and it was a perfect bright and sunny September day to top it off. \n\n![ (https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmS85sJCbLAKwm6z57R9exoLn8qhhyttE2opLBPbWrrXft\/image.png)\n\nThe terrain might be difficult for some people and sturdy shoes are a good idea. The trail is a loop,
but with lots of fun twists and turns. \n\nHere are the stats on the trail:\n\n* Style: Loop\n* Elevation: 147 Feet\n* Distance: 0.7 Miles\n* Fees: (https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/deschutes\/recarea\/?recid=38304&actid=50)\n* Directions: From Bend,
OR: Travel 24 miles south on Highway 97,
then 15 miles east on County Road 21\n\n![ (https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmVP44Lzs5v6YzTeei4rtfXd9y9wfZfmoJw8NV6DVMCbQf\/image.png)\n\nThe trail is part of the Deschutes National Forest and there are many other sites to explore in the forest including Paulina Peak Observation Site. Paulina Peak is amazing too,
but now on to the finale....\n\n**It was worth it!**\n\n\nWe had a great time and I am looking forward to going back next fall. I hope the pictures inspired you to grab your bike or your keys and get out there. \n\n*Live life to the fullest...*",
"json_metadata":" \"tags\":[\"travel\",
\"oregon\",
\"trail\",
\"obsidian\",
\"adventure\" ,
\"image\":[\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmRfQvhmeSeqK7GqZ52vByGiG1HPunPD9k5sdb9XaUbzKF\/image.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmS85sJCbLAKwm6z57R9exoLn8qhhyttE2opLBPbWrrXft\/image.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmVP44Lzs5v6YzTeei4rtfXd9y9wfZfmoJw8NV6DVMCbQf\/image.png\" ,
\"links\":[\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/deschutes\/recarea\/?recid=38304&actid=50\" ,
\"app\":\"steemit\/0.1\",
\"format\":\"markdown\" "
