I'm a gamer so I suppose that helps with these things. Anyways,<br> I used to doodle a lot growing up,<br> but I have never had any formal classes,<br> just me the canvas and a little imagination. I know I'm not the best of artist,<br> but I do love to draw and desire to improve - practice helps. Which is why I want to start drawing more,<br> not only more frequently but also to start spending more time on single projects and learn how to develop better techniques and styles.\n\n I draw with a dark background because it's easier on my eyes. The jet white backgrounds on pc's wreck havoc on our eyes,<br> disrupt sleep patterns when using late at night and have all sorts of health risk implications. But,<br> I digress.\n\n This sketch is like all my sketches,<br> I never know what I'm drawing,<br> I just start with shapes and see where the flow takes the pattern. Once I see something I like,<br> I try to find meaning in it,<br> then the scene starts to become more recognizable. In this case,<br> I started with the a double nodule floating with a dangling root,<br> and the rest was my attempt to create around that object.\n\n Not sure where to go from here? Maybe some more refined sketching here in there. Then fill it in with some paint. I'm not experienced with painting,<br> so that's where I'll probably mess it up. \ud83d\ude06\n\n I want to start interacting more with the art scene here on Steemit. Maybe find some people that are like me and enjoy sketching and being creative.
