People come and go. Things do come and go. The only things that outlive human are their deeds and inventions.

When you die,
what do you want to be known for?
As a Mahatma Ghandi,
who spent his life fighting racial discrimination and eventually secured independence for India? Or
As a Martin Luther King,
who challenged the norm and led the largest civil rights movement in US history? Or
As a Thomas Edison,
who invented light bulb,
phonograph and motion picture camera?
As a Stephen Hawking,
who was described as the master of the Universe’ for his discoveries in cosmology? Or
As a Obafemi Awolowo who as the first prime minister of the western region,
was instrumental to the development of Yorubaland by building the first regional University,
introduction of the first free education and free health programme. He also built the first skyscraper (cocoa house) in Nigeria.

These are just few examples of great people who have come and gone,
with their deeds outliving them. We don’t necessarily have to be an inventor,
liberate a nation or be an Einstein to leave a legacy behind when we are gone. It is by doing the best that we can now to put smiles on the faces of those around us that breed deeds that will outlive us!
*Each day,
let us ask ourselves these questions…. What am I living for? What human problem am I proffering solution to? How am I treating others around me?*

> Remember,
Do not put your hope in **things** because no*thing* lasts forever – Things do come and go,
**only our deeds will outlive us.**

![divider-1024.png (https://steemitimages.com/DQmb9i2KiKpKHoj63jj482Z2HpRPSbx1UyAPXrRGYxXzhEj/divider-1024.png)

![Yoruba.png (https://steemitimages.com/DQmSidzfcY75eFUSjQwzbnCokXXFpnWBv4J1d2Wh1edNUX9/Yoruba.png)

![a ibile2.png (https://steemitimages.com/DQmeRKxYTsW8LuUKhs9jRPqUePseq5Cc7vMhTeJYXnQnooD/a%20ibile2.png)
[Click here to follow for more (http://steemit.com/@ibile)

@ibile
",
"tags":["culture",
"nigeria",
"untalented",
"minnowsupport",
"airhawk-exchange" ,
"users":["ibile" ,
"image":["https://steemitimages.com/DQmcMW7G4fDjZ76xXPgCxPEQ2Bs7EunGPABxuSjgTFdfS9s/Obafemi_Awolowo.jpg",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmb9i2KiKpKHoj63jj482Z2HpRPSbx1UyAPXrRGYxXzhEj/divider-1024.png",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmSidzfcY75eFUSjQwzbnCokXXFpnWBv4J1d2Wh1edNUX9/Yoruba.png",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmeRKxYTsW8LuUKhs9jRPqUePseq5Cc7vMhTeJYXnQnooD/a%20ibile2.png" ,
"links":["http://nigeriaandafricarenaissanceinitiative.blogspot.com/2011/02/chief-obafemi-awolowos-development.html",
"http://steemit.com/@ibile" ,
"app":"steemit/0.1",
"format":"markdown" " | vote |
|
