I have owned this <b>Da Capo Press<\/b>paperback edition of <i>The Art of War<\/i> since the early 90\u2019s. My interest in reading <i>The Art of War<\/i> and <i>The Prince<\/i> came from a famous rapper who alias was Makaveli in respect to this persuasive writer; Niccolo Machiavelli.<\/p>\n<p>The Art of War is separated into seven books. There are 239 pages in this book.<\/p>\n<blockquote>The Art of War was originally published in 1521.<\/blockquote>\n<p>The book I own is an unabridged republication of the edition published in New York in 1965. It is here reprinted by arrangement with Neal Wood.<br>\nThis version of The Art of War was published by Da Capo Press,<br> Inc. A subsidiary of Plenum Corporation. In the book <i>The Art of War<\/i>,<br> Niccolo Machiavelli addressed a letter to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Lorenzo-Filippo-Strozzi-Niccolo-Machiavelli\/dp\/1442644249\">Lorenzo Di Filippo Strozzi (Florentine Nobleman)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Machiavelli wrote about how military life was important and plays a role in protecting civic life. The two life styles are totally different and if a man could only pick one they would be seen as different men.<br>\nThe soldier demands respect from the public as do men in power in the civil community. The soldier also demands respect from the men in power due to their ability to sit or place them in those seats.<\/p>\n<p>Military is an art that holds the fabric of our society together.
