| comment | | "parent_author":"",<br>"parent_permlink":"palnet",<br>"author":"alphaccino.art",<br>"permlink":"the-devil-is-in-the-details",<br>"title":"The Devil Is In The Details",<br>"body":"View this post on Hive: [The Devil Is In The Details (https:\/\/peakd.com\/@alphaccino.art\/the-devil-is-in-the-details)\n\n***\n\nEpipremnum Aureum (Pothos)\n*Common Name: Devil's Ivy*\n\n---\n\n![Imgur (https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/nBOaIDY.jpg)\n\n<sub>Water Propagation - Day 1 (21 July,<br> 2019)<\/sub>\n\n---\n\nAs Winter *slowly* crawls towards it's annual end,<br> my motivation levels have responded in kind and I've found myself eagerly awaiting the rebirth of spring; daydreaming about new plants and new garden beds has given my spirits a welcome lift and yesterday (as a little reward for myself) I picked up a few things from the hardware that I needed to start my first gardening projects for the year.\n\nMind you,<br> we're still getting a decent frost here of a morning,<br> so to start with I'll be more focused on indoor plants and seed germination in prep for outdoor planting later on.\n\nThe plant featured in the photos today is an Epipremnum Aureum (Pothos) and this particular one,<br> is a cutting that I *found* while shopping at Bunnings *(as you do!!!)*... I mean,<br> you *could* say that I,<br> in fact,<br> rescued it from becoming pruned rubbish at a later date... but OK,<br> so you say paath,<br> I say parth... wateva ;) LOL!\n\nRecently,<br> I'd seen some gardening videos that show how easy it is to grow a 'Pothos' plant from a standard cutting and a couple of the videos also talked about another method (and the one I'm following today) that utilises a fish-tank for **Water Propagation**. \n\n---\n\n![Imgur (https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/g7JroEz.jpg)\n\n---\n\nThe set up was as basic as you can get and as simple as placing the cutting into the fish-tank water however,<br> an added bonus to using a 'Pothos' plant with this method of propagation is that the plant is known to be very efficient at purifying the water and improving the health of the tank whilst drawing the essential nutrients from the water.\n\nAnd,<br> of course... me,<br> being ME...
