This time I decided to post up the whole series at once rather than rack my brain over which one I should put up next and in what order. The setup is fairly simple,
and then I tinkered with the materials to get a feel for how the textures work,
and tried to make some very realistic (or as realistic looking as I could) and some otherworldly and strange or magical. I personally like the v5 the most as it has this realness to it. Hard to explain,
there's something about a bit darker tones in colour and gradients that registers as more \"real\" in the brain for some reason. Often you get more of that with better colour correction,
which I think I started using more around that time. You'd be surprised how much goodness you get out of an artwork if you put it through some gamma and exposure settings,
it tends to make the brights a bit brigher and the darks darker without being overwhelming (try not to go via brightness\/contrast,
that tends to be more sharp and harsh looking). I like the v4 a lot as well,
because that one is otherworldly enough to be fantastical rather than just weird looking. 6 and 7 look like they should be in a 90s DOS role playing game lol.\n\nHope you like my works! They're very much just learning studies for myself and each a little exercise in a different aspect of 3D rendering,
whatever strikes me at the time. Could be modeling,
or texturing,
or a material I really like,
or cinematography. I encourage everyone who does 3D art or any art at all to make something small every day because when you start working on one small idea for fun,
you soon find that it leads to another 10 new ideas and before you know it you have some serious goals to reach.",
"json_metadata":" \"tags\":[\"cgart\",
\"art\",
\"blender\",
\"everyday\",
\"artzone\" ,
\"image\":[\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmboFU9uoJwvbwJFYzL3gg1fBLXBbG6KPhPpGLh2M9sJEc\/Opal.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmS9iBkZWCJ1FGh1SQQYFeMBCYLbP8pfXuHtAyjmaSnUfL\/Opal1.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmSFxh7Df4hay4JCADay7LLKxD42RjaCycPcru7CJHqpoB\/Opal2.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmdCNrNKcwJ6sK8fbuYAyHYjNiL992tSdsqW6pgamEsYKA\/Opal3.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmXyUuhh2YEvadbTXhZy8b9eRtszz3Vmhyzz8uUMkAgWM2\/Opal4.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmW9rd3smYLLzbDNwteysuR7377KdybugwM2FhmtUgwkg6\/Opal5.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmPt7iL14MvbqVrFjqMrYwo149CgxmQHsVYEkGhiF6228x\/Opal6.png\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmRZNnmJPbo25EGGgEdaQRP8nvVcKRsNm54P2qRGjdruBm\/Opal7.png\" ,
\"app\":\"steemit\/0.1\",
\"format\":\"markdown\" " | vote | "voter":"tesselart", "author":"tesselart", "permlink":"opals", "weight":10000 |
