It may be small in size but diversed in tourist attractions and recreations. If you happen to visit this country,<br> one of the recognizable features are the modern buildings that vary from hotels,<br> theme parks,<br> & commercial establishments.\n\nAnother noticeable landmark are heritage buildings that are well preserved and maintained,<br> one of which is Chijmes.\n\n![01.jpg (https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/hpiynhbhq\/image\/upload\/v1517837210\/h9om6ec9gh73etuvoqe2.jpg)\n\nMore than a century ago,<br> this building is used to be a convent school which is previously known as CHIJ which means Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus. Coleman. It is said to have similarities with the Tollygung House in Calcutta which is also designed by Colemen himself.\n\nAmong all the buildings within the complex,<br> the Gothic chapel stands as the main center piece. Surprisingly,<br> there number benefits that the locality could gain from it. \n\nLet's look into the economic benefits of restoring heritage buildings.\n\nApparently,<br> restoration of old buildings is cheaper in comparison to the construction of a new development. The basic structure and architectural elements are already in place and if it's in good condition then a minor touch-up will do a satisfactory result.\n\nIt will also boost tourism in the locality which will directly impact the local business surrounding the heritage site or building. It will also benefit the growth of employment through the needs for professionals that will take charge on the restoration process of the heritage building.\n\nLastly,<br> it will also revitalize the old neighborhood of the heritage site or building. It will strengthen the bond of the community by linking the old generation to the new generation. In most cases,<br> the community will be involved as volunteers that will serve as tour guides and be able to join to the neighborhood activities that will maintain the cohesive relationship among each other.
