But everything had been something involving the common area.\n\nBut then one night I left out a container with some meats and cheese,
along with my swiss army knife.\n\nI was in my room when I heard some rattling in the living room so I went out to see what it was. On my desk my food container was covered with a dirty pair of shorts,
and also an empty soap bottle that had my knife stuck through it.\n\nI was furious,
he'd done things before but never directly attacking my property. The act of putting the knife through a soap bottle could also be interpreted as a symbolic death threat,
which I chose to take it as. What else does it mean when someone stabs your own knife through something .... as if to say I'll do it to you next?\n\nI believe when someone attacks you,
you need to respond with counter-force. In my anger I ripped the knife out punched the wall with one hand and then stabbed the knife all the way into the desk with the other. I needed a target other than him in that initial moment of fury.\n\nHe thought by the time I'd find it he would be safe in his room,
but I caught him in the act.\n\nWhen I confronted him in his face he had the nerve to step forward into my space.\n\nI didn't want to punch him and have the cops come. So I puffed out my chest and slammed straight into him as hard as I could in defense. He was shocked,
he thought he could infringe on me without me defending myself. He stepped forward again and yelled,
so I deviled him the same treatment twice more in rapid succession. He flew into the cupboard slamming his back against it.\n\nThat was the climax of it after which we both backed off some.\n\nUnfortunately for me I seem to have caused myself some internal injury. Behind my lower chest inside has had a deep pain since then. Maybe I had a lung full of air when our chests smashed causing some small popping. From what I've read the lung is an organ which is very good at healing itself. I'm starting to finally feel a bit better today so I'm optimistic about it.\n\nI haven't jogged since then,
and I normally jog almost everyday. Even trying to do a sit-up getting up out of bed in the morning hurts.\n\nI'm thinking tonight I will push myself and go for a jog. I definitely needed a break after the fight with my flatmate,
but I don't want to let a temporary setback ruin a habit I enjoy.l",
"json_metadata":" \"community\":\"busy\",
\"app\":\"busy\/2.4.0\",
\"format\":\"markdown\",
\"tags\":[\"life\",
\"blog\",
\"busy\",
\"fight\",
\"flatmates\" "
