[But I see an artificial speculative medium,<br>\u201d he said. It\u2019s \u201canti-social,<br> stupid and immoral.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The 94-year-old Munger then proceeded to compare cryptocurrency trading to dealing in \u201cfreshly harvested baby brains,<br>\u201d arguing that both would be immoral even if profitable.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSuppose you could make a lot of money trading freshly harvested baby brains. Would you do it?\u201d he asked. \u201cTo me bitcoin is almost as bad.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Munger then took aim at bitcoin proponents,<br> alleging that it is disgraceful to promote cryptoassets and chastising them that it is \u201cbeneath you.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI regard the whole thing as a combination of dementia and immorality. I think the people pushing it are a disgrace,<br>\u201d he concluded. \u201cThere ought to be some things that are beneath you,<br> that you just don\u2019t do,<br> and this is one.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Berkshire vice chairman\u2019s comments were perhaps even more inflammatory from those issued by his boss and longtime friend just a day prior.<\/p>\n<p>As CCN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccn.com\/billionaire-warren-buffett-trashes-bitcoin-again-its-rat-poison-squared\/\">reported<\/a>,<br> Buffett \u2014 a consistent bitcoin bear \u2014 told shareholders that the cryptocurrency is \u201crat poison squared\u201d and that the asset class will \u201ccome to bad endings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Munger,<br> reports say,<br> chimed in to remark that he likes cryptocurrency \u201ceven less than Warren does.\u201d<\/p>\n<br<h2>Follow @davidlanz for real-time crypto news!<h2>",<br>"json_metadata":" \"app\": \"piston-lib\/0.5.7\" " |
