For 30 years he has never created a new song and only has one mainstay song (rich),
titled \"Hey,
Baby Doll\". Even so,
he still has enough money to live in a fancy mansion,
ride a flashy Mercedes,
or suck cocaine and get drunk routinely with his much younger wife.\n\nThis light but touching film from Dan Fogelman tells the story of a titular character seeking redemption and improving his life after hedonist life and neglecting his family for years. The plot is easy to predict,
but thanks to its natural role playing,
this film still has sentimental value despite being far from melodrama.\n\nAt the beginning of the film,
we see the young Danny being interviewed by a journalist. The singer who idolized John Lennon admits that he is not mentally ready to become popular. Unbeknownst to him,
Lennon read the interview and sent him a letter stating that he must remain self in order not to be marred by popularity. Plus,
Lennon also listed his phone number whenever Danny wanted to call. But this letter never reached Danny's hands until 30 years later when his manager and best friend Frank Grubman (Christopher Plummer) gave him a special gift.\n\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/AndERTFMYd4\n\nDanny's life is probably every artist's dream. At an age,
he is still commercially successful. His fans (who of course are his age) are still hysterical when he sings the song \"Hey,
Baby Doll\". Her Greatest Hits Volume 3 album is advertised on a giant billboard. Everyone in every generation knows him. But we know he is suffering for doing the things he really does not want to do (If the song is \"Hey,
Baby Doll\" and have to sing it every time,
I understand Danny's depression).\n\nWhat will you do when you get a letter from the idol? Moreover,
the idol is JOHN f ** king LENNON ?! Danny imagined if this letter had been received more quickly; how his life would not be like this. The letter became the originator of the turning point in his life. He left the mansion and his young wife who turned out to have an affair. With a private jet (because he #redraited) he flew to New Jersey,
ignored the tour and stayed in a hotel. His room was equipped with a piano because he wanted to create a new,
personal song.\n\nThis movie is just a fictional letter John Lennon letters buried dozens of years actually there - just not for Danny Collins,
but the British singer named Steve Tilston. Therefore,
it is only natural that we doubt the accuracy of the subplot about its unique relationship (unlike most romance) with the hotel manager (Annette Benning) or Danny's efforts to improve relationships with the child he never met before.\n\nThe main story of the film is to show that behind his slovenly behavior,
Danny is a man with a heart. To achieve this,
Fogelman incorporated elements of soap opera: the boy,
a modestly living Tom (Bobby Cannavalle) with his wife (Jennifer Garner) awaiting the birth of his second child and having trouble handling the first child and to be more dramatic,
Tom also got another misfortune. But the acting of the player becomes a savior. We know Tom hates his father,
but Cannavalle shows his temper without exaggeration. Garner got more roles than it sounds,
where he also shared moments of sentimental with Pacino.\n\nPacino performs far from dramatization. He appears energetic and convincing as a singer onstage (FYI,
except for his songs John Lennon,
some songs he sang himself),
but also shows the subtlety of the veins behind every funny nan sentence that he catapulted. Never over-acting,
Pacino really got into the character of Danny Collins (or his characterization is based on Pacino's personality? I do not know). The strength of this film is when Pacino interact with the eyes of his supporters.\n\nThough it sounded heavy,
the conflicts raised were never so gloomy. Development and completion of the climax can also be considered too simple. Danny Collins is a feel-good movie. Although cliche,
but quite effective.",
"json_metadata":" \"links\":[\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/AndERTFMYd4\" ,
\"image\":[\"https:\/\/img.esteem.ws\/a6wlimf8un.jpg\" ,
\"tags\":[\"movie\",
\"film\",
\"review\",
\"story\",
\"entertainment\" ,
\"app\":\"esteem\/1.6.0\",
\"format\":\"markdown+html\",
\"community\":\"esteem\" " | comment_options | "author":"alies2", "permlink":"danny-collins-is-a-feel-good-movie-about-pop-stars-who-want-to-improve-themselves-after-hedonic-life-for-years-although-cliche-652b051657dd5", "max_accepted_payout":"1000000.000 SBD", "percent_steem_dollars":10000, "allow_votes":true, "allow_curation_rewards":true, "extensions":[[0, "beneficiaries":[ "account":"esteemapp", "weight":1000 |
