The developers have reasoned that the change is to make the system easier for new players to understand. All cards and crafting resources have been removed from the game,<br> however,<br> they have been converted into extra chests for you to open. The new card system now uses gold and gems instead of CP (Card Points) to buy or unlock cards in game,<br> the gold is still acquired the same way as CP was by killing minions and players as well as defeating towers. Gems are unlocked in game,<br> giving a permanent passive effect and used to purchase cards. There are 3 different forms of gems; agility,<br> intellect and vitality,<br> each with their own abilities.\n\nhttps:\/\/gamersclassified.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/new-cards-paragon.jpg\n\n<h1>New decks<\/h1>\n\nThe old decks allowed players to choose a prime card that would be activated when the orb prime was defeated in game,<br> the rest of the deck consisted of multiple active and passive cards. Once in game,<br> players could equip a maximum of 6 cards with a combination of up to 4 active cards or all 6 as passive cards. New decks allow only 3 cards to be equipped at a time,<br> from a deck of 12 that must be unlocked with gold and gems. The new decks allow for both passive and active cards yet again,<br> however,<br> it does not limit the combination that can be used. Previously in game,<br> the cards could only be selected once,<br> if you wanted to change that card you had to remove it and couldn\u2019t use it again. The new decks now allow players to reuse cards they have already unlocked and used in game. Affinities have also changed,<br> previously each hero had 2 aligned affinities and only cards from those affinities could used in their deck. New universal decks allow for the use of any affinity and therefore any card as well as the fact that each deck can be used for any hero.\n\nhttps:\/\/gamersclassified.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/deck-affinities-paragon.jpg\n\n<h1>Reworked heroes<\/h1>\n\nV42 also came with some reworked heroes,<br> Iggy and Scorch have been reintroduced complete with a new Mecha Terror skin in an attempt to reinvent the fire crazy pair as a proper turret hero. An unfortunate outcome of the update has increased the price of hero masteries from 75,<br>000 reputation or 1,<br>300 coins to 500,<br>000 reputation or 500 coins. This is a huge inflation of in game currency offset by coins you can buy with real money. Players are given some extra reputation once they update the game,<br> however,<br> you cannot buy anywhere near the amount of masteries you could before. For example; before the update I had 600,<br>000+ reputation which meant I could buy up to 8 hero mysteries,<br> now with the compensation I have 1,<br>200,<br>000+ reputation but can only buy 2 masteries. The reason for this price hike is that the masteries have been boosted so that you can now level up to 99 instead of being capped at 10.
