To me,
it captures the energy of the car as it glides through the air._\n_ \n\n# Subaru WRX STI in Flight\n\nhttps:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/18\/S0555593cbd72.jpg\n_Subaru WRX STI in Flight: 1\/8000s; f2.2; ISO 400_\n\n---\n\n**Camera:** Fujifilm X20 (compact digital)\n**Settings:** 1\/8000s; f2.2; ISO 400\nLevels tweaked in Photoshop\n\n---\n\n## They might be mini,
but they certainly are mighty!\n\nYes ladies & gentlemen,
I waited until my 2 year old was in bed until I raided his hotwheels cars and built a jump ramp! I tried out all of his cars,
and this Subaru handled the jump the best,
or most consistently\/controllably anyway. (some heavier ones went further & higher,
but with the indoor lighting,
and compact camera with terrible high ISO,
slower jumps were easier to catch with the camera.) \n\n## The process:\n\nI made a little launch ramp from a couple of pieces of cardboard,
a little plastic piece of packaging & a paper clip. Then I had to bribed my 12 year old to launch the cars off the ramp.\n\nI set the camera to it's highest frames per second setting,
which is apparently 12fps (but seems like it's closer to 3 or 4fps) and got down low,
holding down on the shutter to catch a burst of shots as the cars were launched off the ramp.\n\nI tried a few different angles,
and over about 45 minutes and many many launches & miss-launches,
managed to capture a few shots where the car was in frame,
and almost entirely in focus. Unfortunatly shooting on the Fujifilm X20 at over ISO 100 produces terrible results. It's really a terrible camera... It does have manual that are close to an old film camera (which is why it caught my eye),
but all round it's been a disappointing purchase... Maybe there's another article in that...\n\nhttps:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/18\/S0625647ad392.jpg\n_Subaru WRX STI in Flight: 1\/2500s; f2.0; ISO 2000_\n\n---\n\n**Camera:** Fujifilm X20 (compact digital)\n**Settings:** 1\/2500s; f2.0; ISO 2000\nCropped and levels tweaked in Photoshop\n\n---",
"json_metadata":" \"tags\":[\"steemitphotochallenge\",
\"photography\",
\"art\" ,
\"image\":[\"https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/18\/S0555593cbd72.jpg\",
\"https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/18\/S0625647ad392.jpg\" " | vote | "voter":"azurejasper", "author":"azurejasper", "permlink":"steemitphotochallenge-entry-subaru-wrx-sti-in-flight", "weight":10000 |
