(http://cbtcentre.com.au/images/abt2.jpg)

> I will take you on a hasty journey towards our inner space. We will think critically about the world around us and how we behave towards it. I will also introduce the wonderful realm of Psychology and why it is essential to comprehend it's complexities.

In my previous post I mentioned that I will be sharing the chronicles of psychology in a mini series that entails the engaging world of this discipline. I am not claiming that I am an expert on this topic but I will relay what I know and I will also impart the things that I believed in this field.

I am always the type of person that speaks whatevers on my mind. My friends tell me that I am very bubbly and very spontaneous.I was always expected to be someone who will utilize her talents in speaking as a profession. They thought that I will choose a job in the broadcasting industry as a reporter. Well their guesses are wrong since I opted to major in Psychology.

I know It's pretty far from the image I have. Bossy,
dominating and difficult it's how they describe me. Working in this field requires someone to be compassionate and a good listener which they think are the things I lack of.

>![2018-02-05 05.54.28 1.jpg (https://steemitimages.com/DQmYo6hkGtvCutJo8Rj6yjzYcKmY7CVWFcD1omrtKxHTXxA/2018-02-05%2005.54.28%201.jpg)

But what they didnt know is that deep inside I am struggling to know my identity and to find reasons to continue on living. I had a lot of deep seated frustrations inside of me that I need to surpass...This is the main reason why I took up Psychology.

Instead of dwelling in my anxieties and getting drowned into depression. I diverted my time and energy in studying the human mind. In order to fathom my own self and the influence of others to me I decided to make it as my major.

Pyschology
is the study of human mind and behavior. It came from the Greek words psyche(mind) and logos(study).

>![2016-10-15 05.39.49 1.jpg (https://steemitimages.com/DQmSKJmEVDwb9bYcX3wpzEabiQMcjJE4PZYEaSvxgvBj8bv/2016-10-15%2005.39.49%201.jpg)

> _**In Psychology our way of thinking affects everything around us and the consequences of our actions strikes back to us creating a never ending loop of stimulus and response occurences.**_

This academic disciplines is very interesting to study since it would explain your total behavior and your mental processes. Who in the world would not be curious on his identity and personality?

Psychology like other disciplines in the Social Sciences seeks to understand,
describe and explain human attitude and cognition. Looking for factors that govern individual or even social behavior is the main goal of Psychology. Which in turn explain it's positivistic nature. When we say positivism,
we are talking about scientific facts.
>![IMG_20150219_075457.jpg (https://steemitimages.com/DQmcX8NtpicE28GgqqN6yevvx9zdRE9LCdfmGCTtuQj26RY/IMG_20150219_075457.jpg)

What makes Psychology more interesting is that it is considered a science. Science is a body of knowledge concerning about the factual explanation of things around us and in order for the human consciousness to be explained systematically we need to follow rational processes.

There are a lot of interesting topics that Psychology is very famous on. What makes it appealing is it tries to unlock the msyteries of the human behind and how it controls individual behavior.

This blog is just the tip of the iceberg. I will post my second series tomorrow and I am very hyped to write again. Before I end this post I will leave an inspiring quote from one of the pillars of Psychology.
> "Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise"
-Sigmund Freud

Follow,
@sakura1012

![DQmPF5sh3B1Vxzo8LsxFQAnSkcHS7r4DMPg3cyhudiBp2Nn_1680x8400.png (https://steemitimages.com/DQmPF5sh3B1Vxzo8LsxFQAnSkcHS7r4DMPg3cyhudiBp2Nn/DQmPF5sh3B1Vxzo8LsxFQAnSkcHS7r4DMPg3cyhudiBp2Nn_1680x8400.png)",
"tags":["psychology",
"steemeducation",
"life",
"surpassinggoogle",
"cebu" ,
"users":["sakura1012" ,
"image":["https://steemitimages.com/DQmdKFa4eJQbvDqWr2PgVT3LydSQ7cJsQM6LFExwHY9oLaA/20180205_202947.png",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmYo6hkGtvCutJo8Rj6yjzYcKmY7CVWFcD1omrtKxHTXxA/2018-02-05%2005.54.28%201.jpg",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmSKJmEVDwb9bYcX3wpzEabiQMcjJE4PZYEaSvxgvBj8bv/2016-10-15%2005.39.49%201.jpg",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmcX8NtpicE28GgqqN6yevvx9zdRE9LCdfmGCTtuQj26RY/IMG_20150219_075457.jpg",
"https://steemitimages.com/DQmPF5sh3B1Vxzo8LsxFQAnSkcHS7r4DMPg3cyhudiBp2Nn/DQmPF5sh3B1Vxzo8LsxFQAnSkcHS7r4DMPg3cyhudiBp2Nn_1680x8400.png" ,
"links":["http://cbtcentre.com.au/images/abt2.jpg" ,
"app":"steemit/0.1",
"format":"markdown" " | comment_options |
sakura1012
psychology-chronicles-series-1-the-fascinating-world-of-psychology-and-why-it-is-beneficial-to-be-learned-by-everybody
[ |
