[insert slow clap \n\nWhy don't I tell you why I'm here,<br> what steemit means to me and why your flags say much more about you than they do about me... obviously,<br> I'm not here for the money \u2013 I have a measly couple hundred dollar stake in Steem and even that is really just a gamble and possibly my last (dream) shot in life of getting anywhere close to owning a lambo.\n\nSo,<br> why AM I here,<br> sharing a dialogue of my life with relative strangers? \n\nWell,<br> for me it's a social outlet and currently my only social outlet. You see,<br> a few years ago I suffered through what will always be remembered as the worst years of my life and while still un-diagnosed,<br> I'm pretty sure I'm showing signs of agoraphobia,<br> PTSD,<br> depression and anxiety... to name a few. Why un-diagnosed,<br> you ask? Because I'm too damn scared to go to a psychiatrist and revisit ALL the shit that's tucked away in my mind... it might just be better left where it is,<br> you know what I'm saying?\n\nAs a result,<br> I don't leave the house much and when I found Steemit,<br> I found a place where I could share small parts of my day with others,<br> much in the same conversational way that I would with a friend who had come to visit for coffee... and I was loving it. I had even got to a point where I was really impressed with my 'work' and was getting such a boost from it that I started thinking,<br> gees I'm actually pretty good at this blogging stuff.\n\nOn a side note,<br> recently,<br> I did try to break out of my shell by going to my 'local watering hole' to meet some new 'friends' however,<br> the audience of @lpfaust's #Joculation (PAL Discord) might remember how that one worked out for me ;) LOL\n\nBut then came the flags... yeah ok,<br> but why? Oh I see,<br> you want me to follow your anonymous link to another website that I'm sure explains it all... NO!
