His mother was still staying with him,<br> sleeping on the couch,<br> and she had been very shaken by the news of the latest break in. Very quietly,<br> to begin with. It slowly built up in volume,<br> and Joe and his mother both woke. This time,<br> Joe stayed in his room for a moment,<br> listening. His mother was afraid someone was in the house,<br> so she didn't move. After a few minutes,<br> Joe slowly emerged from his room,<br> moving towards the spare room with the Piano in it. As he approached the doorway,<br> he said quite loudly \"Please don't stop playing. Grandma if you are there,<br> is there any way for you to communicate with us?\"\n\nThe Piano kept going,<br> and Joe could see it for the first time during one of these occurrences. He slowly entered the room,<br> and quietly watched the keys being pushed down by some unseen force,<br> and the soothing music coming out of the Piano. His mother joined him,<br> and they both just listened to the music quietly. After a fey minutes,<br> Joe's mother spoke softly \"Mum,<br> if that is you can you give us a sign? Why are you still playing this Piano?\n\nThe music stopped. Then something even stranger happened. A panel on the side of the piano swung open,<br> like it was on hinges. This was not on the side with all the carvings Joe had examined earlier,<br> but it appeared to be a built in secret compartment on the other side. Joe slowly moved over to see what was inside. Peering in,<br> it was hard to tell in the darkness. There was a notebook,<br> a clear sleeve folder and a USB flash-drive. Joe removed the contents and moved over towards the light to investigate. He opened the document folder first. The pages inside were typed,<br> but with many handwritten notes,<br> corrections and edits all over.\n\nThe first page of the document had written at the top \"Draft\",<br> then the heading: \"Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System by Satoshi Nakamoto\". Joe blinked,<br> the document was dated \"September 2008\" \n\n\"This is a draft of the document that launched Bitcoin to the world\" Joe told his mother. The reality of this find sank in quickly to Joe,<br> who had done a large amount of research into Bitcoin in the last few days,<br> since the Piano's mysteries slowly revealed themselves. But what was on the flash-drive,<br> and how did his late Grandmother end up with this document hiding in her Piano?\n________________________________________________________________\nI definitely spent longer than 5 minutes on this post,<br> but it is the weekend.
