The meat is cooked in the Tandoor,<br> which is a kind of a specialized oven.&nbsp;<\/blockquote>\n<h2><em><strong>How to Cook Mandi<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><em>Charcoal is made first by placing and burning dry wood inside the tandoor,<br> which produces a great amount of heat energy. The meat is then placed inside tandoor,<br> making sure that it doesn't touch the charcoal. An air vent is made so as to allow the excess smoke to exit the tandoor. Peanuts,<br> raisins and pine nuts could also be added to the rice. We first boil the meat with all the spices applied till achieving tenderness of the meat. The spiced stock can then be utilized to cook Basmati rice. The meat,<br> after it has boiled up,<br> is then placed inside the tandoor to achieve crispness.
