It never occurred to me that I,<br> [Andre Blake (https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andre_Blake) will one day be the captain of my country's national team,<br> a goalkeeper too,<br> it never for once crossed my mind,<br> and as posterity will have it,<br> all whose legs are in this picture are part of Jamaican national team now,<br> for we all are of the same age range. \n\n\n[Fabian McCarthy (https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fabian_McCarthy_(Jamaican_footballer)) the one on a red short was born the same year with me then but older than me by some month,<br> His dad is also a football fan so all the encouragement he needs are there for him,<br> unlike me who was nurtured to become a doctor or an engineer. \n\n\nGradually I develop the talents and skills with the help of [Adrian Mariappa (https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adrian_Mariappa) who was very instrumental in my choice of choosing football as a proffesion,<br> he was the first person to instill in the me the mentality of doing my country proud by flying the Jamaican colour on the field,<br> the '**Reggae Boys**' as we were called.\n\n[Adrian Mariappa (https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adrian_Mariappa) made sure I rediscover myself into becoming a goalkeeper,<br> from the Jamaican U-17,<br> to U-20 and U-23. Finally,<br> the national team and been capped.
