In case you didn't know,<br> this week (April 23-29) is Fashion Revolution Week,<br> and it's bigger than ever. There are a ton of events going on worldwide,<br> and although there are none on the schedule in my town,<br> there could be some in yours. WRITE A LETTER TO A BRAND** \nThe [email tool (https:\/\/www.fashionrevolution.org\/about\/get-involved\/) on fashionrevolution.org makes it super easy to send a letter to top brands asking more information about the supply chain and the important question of,<br> who made my clothes? A portion of the sample letter you can send along states,<br> \"It is very important to me that people working in your supply chain are seen,<br> heard,<br> paid properly,<br> and working in safe conditions.\" It only takes a couple minutes to send off a letter.\n\n**2. SIGN THE MANIFESTO**\n>\"We are Fashion Revolution. We are designers,<br> producers,<br> makers,<br> workers and consumers. We are academics,<br> writers,<br> business leaders,<br> brands,<br> retailers,<br> trade unions and policymakers. We are the industry and the public. We are world citizens. We are a movement and a community. We are you.\n\n>We love fashion. But we don\u2019t want our clothes to exploit people or destroy our planet. [SEND A POSTCARD TO A POLICY MAKER (https:\/\/www.fashionrevolution.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FR_Postcard_policymaker_.pdf)**\nAsk whether or not your local officials are doing anything to make sure the fashion industry is safe & fair for everyone involved. The link will take you to a printable template you can use. \n\n**4. CREATE A LOVE STORY** \nThis challenge invites you to take a stand against disposable fashion by taking it slow,<br> buying less and cherishing the pieces you own. Share the love story you've created with a garment through photo,<br> video or text and there's a chance it could be featured on the Fashion Revolution blog.\n\n**5. TRY A HAULTERNATIVE** \nOkay,<br> so I'll admit I was thrown off by this term at first...but it simply means refreshing your wardrobe without buying new clothing. Makes sense!
